Be Prepared
The best statement I can make is that you really need to be prepared for your adventure. The biggest challenge I found was that I was not expecting the amount of travel time that was going to be required based on the itinerary. Because the infrastructure in Kenya is really not good outside of Nairobi, traveling from one park to the next often took 7 or 8 hours and in one case took 12 hours. Had I been advised of this ahead of time, I might have chosen to book smaller adventures, with a re-charge break in Nairobi, rather than stringing one park to the next next. I booked the budget safari, so I was not expecting a whole lot, and that was pretty much on point. I was OK with that, because that's what I booked. My guide James was fantastic, and really knows how to track animals. Because of him I saw the Big 5. A good guy and deserved every ounce of appreciation. Although I booked a shared tour, I was the only one in the group, so it made for long boring rides. I have no problem recommending this company for Safari, but just be prepared for long days, and early mornings, and consider shorter safari trips to different parks, rather than tying them together.

Aroni was our guide at the Masai Mara safari and I can’t tell you enough about how amazing he was. He knew everything about the reserve, the people, animals and Kenya in general. He drove well, made sure we were safe and showed us around each day of the tour. If you do book your tour with Karibu safari, please ask for Aroni.

Not professionnal or serious enough
I booked two different safari tours with this company. I had to pay cash for the 2 tours and the tour operator applies a strange conversion rate (440$ -> 48400 KES). I did'nt complain at the time.
The first tour was a 3 days in Masai Mara tour - safari joining group : it went quite well, especially thanks to our guide James who really did his best to help us find the Big Five.
However, we didn't get water as planned on the website. When I asked the company, they put responsability on the guide.
The second tour was a One Day solo in Amboseli: the guide was supposed to pick me up at 5am at the hotel. He arrived at 5:40 because of a technical problem with the car. This car was so old that it was already amazing that it could still drive. The first guide drove at a gas station and I had to wait for another 15 minutes for a second driver to come and pick me up. A lunch box was supposed to be included so we could have lunch in the park but it was'nt. So we headed to the park and had nothing to eat before 5 pm, at a gas station, when we came back to Nairobi.
When I wrote to the tour operator to complain and ask for compensation, they didn't even bother to answer and at least apologize.
I know I booked cheap tours, but even when it's cheap you can expect the basic professionalism from a tour operator.

We went to Amboseli with Karibu safaris: James was a great tour guide and the company was very responsive, flexible and super service minded and punctual in their communication ahead of our arrival on Kenya. We then decided to go from Amboseli to Mombasa with Aronay, one of their drivers, as Kenya went on lockdown. Again, everything went so smooth and Aronay was super helpful and knowledge. Overall, our experience in Kenya was great because of Karibu safaris. Thanks guys !!
