An awesome adventure with Meru Slopes! Where dreams come true....
Our dream vacation really began when Victor, our (city) guide to/from the airport, picked us up. He’s an incredibly enthusiastic young man, who was eager to teach us a little Swahili, talk to us about his country, and who did an excellent job navigating us through/around some intense traffic due to the Prime Minister being in town. And when the President was in town at the end of our trip, he again did a masterful job of avoiding delays. What an exceptionally happy and engaging person!
Our guide throughout our safari, Douglas, did an excellent job. It was clear his goal was to make all our dreams for this vacation a reality! He managed to exceed our dreams. His depth of experience was clear from day one. Each time we encountered an animal, he somehow managed to get us positioned front and center. He educated us not just on the animals but on his country and the people. We saw every animal, except the elusive leopard. We even saw both black and white rhinos! We went in late February so we did experience a day of the rainy season, with washed out bridges and flooded roads. Yet, this didn’t deter Douglas at all. We still went out and saw all sorts of animals and beautiful lands. And of course, with the time of year, we were gifted with sightings of all the newborn animals as well.
I highly recommend Meru Slopes! When local business people asked which company we were with they all had great things to say about Meru Slopes. So, if you want to be treated wonderfully, and have an experience of your life, check out Meru Slopes. We did the 8 day- Wildebeest Migration option and it was pretty darned perfect! Well worth the investment!!

Very Happy we went with Meru Slopes!
Meru Slopes Tours
The staff at Meru Slopes was welcoming and gave us a sense of family. Both of our guides were knowledgeable and excellent drivers. Victor, our city guide had to navigate through extreme traffic and unscheduled road closers to help us get to our destinations. He could backout and turn around in complete gridlock. Douglas our Safari Guide was very knowledgeable, an excellent driver and super friendly. He could see things that that would undoubtable be missed, explain all of the details and habits of the animals and found everything and more that we were hoping to see. The Meru safari camp made us feel like family as well. We miss them already.

Unforgettable Safari with Expert Guide Frank – Saw the Full Hunt!
I’m extremely satisfied with the safari organized by Meru Slopes Tours & Safaris. Our guide, Frank, was outstanding. In Ndundu, he expertly led us to witness two lions hunting and feeding on a wildebeest – a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. We were also lucky to see both the Big 5 and the Ugly 5. The communication, service, and overall reliability were excellent, offering great value for money. This safari was unforgettable, and I highly recommend this tour operator

Catered to the client
Samwel and Bange really made the experience. I was lucky to have been placed with them. Samwel took the time to explain stuff that we were looking at. If it was a bird, a tree, or a little stream, he was knowledgeable and very informative. We got new passengers from another safari company and the new passengers were amazed about how Samwel would stop and actually teach us things. Not something everyone does!
Bange was the chef with us, he was very very kind, and always on time. He was very easy to engage conversation with and he always had a smile on his face. His food always came out top notch. Same with the new passengers, they mentioned that Bange’s food was much much better than what they had from their company previously. My only recommendation would be to bring your own binoculars!
I dealt a lot with Kelvin. Whether it was the hotel pickup, drop off, food, recommendations or anything really he was always super fast to respond, no matter what time of night or day. He made the administration part of this easy.
The hotel was decent, nothing at all to complain about. Seems like a good location close to things and polite staff.

a very good local tour company
I chose this local tour operator after comparing many others. I was quite worried before departure, but my safari organizer Kelvin Bonith and safari guide Ezekiel were absolutely amazing. The hotels they booked were exactly what I wanted—no last-minute changes or unexpected issues at all.
My driver was a pleasant surprise. He’s an excellent driver; even on difficult, muddy roads in the rain, he drove steadily and never got stuck. He’s also very clean and keeps the car tidy every day. He’s incredibly hardworking—he took us out to look for animals as early as 6 a.m. every day, and we only returned to the hotel after 6 p.m. He always tried his best to take us to see whatever animals we wanted to find. He’s such a kind person and shared so much professional knowledge about animals along the way. I really hated to leave him, and I will definitely look for him again on my next trip.

Incredible
Muri and Buba made our experience incredible. The food, the hotel, the camp, the safari—everything was a dream. We went on our honeymoon, and it was the best decision we made to go with them. We're so happy! Thank you so much!

Excellent service
Meru Slopes picked us up from Kiliminjaro Airport and took us to the Kibo Palace Hotel in Arusha. The next day a very embarrassed Kelvin was obliged to tell us that our Holiday Company (Verikson Holidays) had failed to pay. Kelvin spent the day with us taking us to the African Art Museum in Arusha. We managed to persuade Verikson to pay and later that day the funds went through. At the very last minute on the next morning Meru Slopes managed to get the 2 of us off on a 4 day safari into Tarangire, the Serengeti (2 days) and Ngorongoro National Parks. Max was our driver. He was a careful driver, considerate, polite, had a sense of humour and seemed to have an uncanny ability to find wildlife without often being surrounded by other Toyota Land Cruisers. Thanks very much Max. Our accommodation was changed from that booked due to the necessary last minute bookings given Verikson Holidays overdue payment. Nonetheless we were satisfied. On the 5th day Meru Slopes gave us a courtesy cultural tour, a village tour which was enlightening, interesting and worthwhile then a visit to a Maasai village which was a little too touristy for our taste. That evening Kelvin joined us at our hotel to apologise for the disruption to our holiday, not that we held Meru Slopes responsible. He also presented us with gifts. The other drivers; Edson and Joseph (?) were also very pleasant. We would highly recommend Meru Slopes (but advise everyone to never use Verikson Holidays!).

Safari dream trip
We wanted to express our gratitude to Almachius who set up our 7-day safari in Tanzania and our amazing guide, Jacob, who facilitated our dream trip.
Every detail was planned to perfection from the moment we were picked up at the airport in Arusha (at 2:30am!) to our drop off again at the need of our incredible week.
Jacob guided us through Tarangire, Serengeti, Ndutu and Ngorongoro with expertise. We were often the first to witness lions, giraffes, elephants and so many more beautiful animals, due to the experience and eagle eye of our most talented guide.
Over the weeks time we saw the elusive leopards and even some Rhino, along with cheetah, the big 5 and the ugly 5.
Our days were filled with close up experiences with wild animals, picnics in the middle of the African plains and day after day of the gorgeous scenery that Tanzania has to offer.
We would highly recommend Meru Slopes for your dream safari and definitely ask for Jacob for an extra special experience.

A team of passionate professionals who turn a safari into a once in-a lifetime experience
We spent five truly unforgettable days with Meru Slopes Tours & Safaris, and we can confidently say it surpassed everything we imagined a safari in Africa could be.
From the very first interaction, Shedrack demonstrated a rare level of professionalism. Always responsive, detail-oriented, and fully available before, during, and even after the trip, he gave us complete confidence throughout the entire planning process. The organization was flawless: airport pickup in Arusha, seamless logistics between parks, strategic positioning each day, and an itinerary perfectly aligned with the migration season.
But what truly elevated this experience was our guide, Jacob.
His knowledge of wildlife is exceptional. His ability to detect subtle movements across the savannah, interpret animal behavior, and position us at the right place at the right time resulted in moments we will never forget. In Tarangire, Ndutu, and the Ngorongoro Crater, we witnessed intense and authentic wildlife scenes, big cats in action, raw predator-prey dynamics, nature unfolding exactly as it should.
Nothing felt rushed. Every sighting was approached with patience, strategy, and respect.
It was also clear how highly respected Jacob is among the other guides. There is a natural, quiet leadership about him that becomes evident through his actions over the course of the safari.
The vehicles were impeccable: clean, safe, and fully prepared for long game drives. Every operational detail reflects professionalism and care.
Our accommodations were equally outstanding:
Under The Shade Safari Lodge in Arusha, Farm of Dreams Lodge, and the mobile camps Olmorijo Camp and Safari Haven Migration Camp, strategically positioned to place us right in the heart of the action in Ndutu. A special mention to the chef at Safari Haven — easily the best food of our entire trip.
If you are looking for a serious, experienced company committed to delivering an authentic, high-level safari experience, Meru Slopes is the right choice.
This was not just a trip. It was a transformative experience that will stay with us for the rest of our lives, made possible by the genuine dedication of every person involved.

Excellent and Top noche Service
We’re just back from the most incredible 8-day safari experience with Meru Slopes Tours and Safari, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. We specifically booked during the calving season to see the Great Migration and the Big Five, and the trip exceeded every expectation we had.
From the very first inquiry, the service was top-notch. I booked through Kelvin Bonith, who is a true safari professional. He was incredibly communicative from the "bugging" (planning) stage, answering all my questions patiently and helping us tailor the perfect itinerary. He was transparent, very helpful, and made the booking process completely stress-free. If you are planning a trip, ask for Kelvin—he will take great care of you.
Once we arrived in Tanzania, our experience was taken to another level by our guide, Samweli Bhane. Samweli was absolutely fantastic. He is not just a driver; he is a walking encyclopedia of the bush. His knowledge of animal behavior and the terrain meant he always seemed to know exactly where to go to find the best action. He had a keen eye for spotting wildlife from miles away and made sure we got the best views for photography.
The safari itself was a dream come true. Because we were there for the calving season, the plains were alive with newborns. It was breathtaking to see the circle of life happening right in front of us—wildebeest and zebras with their tiny, wobbly legs taking their first steps, while always being mindful of the predators watching nearby. The landscapes were lush and green, dotted with thousands of animals as far as the eye could see.
And the animals we saw! We were lucky enough to witness the Big Five in style. We saw massive herds of elephants, Cape buffaloes staring us down, rhinos in the distance, and leopards lounging in trees. The highlight, however, was finding a pride of lions with cubs, watching them interact and play. We also saw cheetahs, hippos, giraffes, and countless birds.
Samweli’s passion for his work made the trip special. He was kind, patient, and made sure we were comfortable and happy throughout the 8 days. If you want a guide who will make your safari magical, request Samweli Bhane—he is the best in the business.
I highly recommend Meru Slopes Tours for anyone looking for an authentic and well-organized Tanzanian safari. Whether it's your first time or your fifth, they will deliver an experience you will treasure forever. Thank you, Kelvin and Samweli, for the trip of a lifetime
