Excellent 7day safari tour by Meru Slopes
It had been my wife's wish to travel to Tanzania for some time, and in order to do so inexpensively, we used a local safari tour company. We chose Melslopes,a reputable local safari tour company that seemed to offer a good tour package at a reasonable price. 7 days private tour for two, visiting Tarangire, Serengeti (central, west and north) and Ngorongoro for 5 nights (not including the previous night). It was a great decision, and my wife was very pleased that the tour exceeded her expectations. We used a large 6-passenger Toyota Land Cruiser together, and Samuel, our driver/guide, chose the right time and place to take us around, while keeping us safe, and each day showed us scenes that we thought were the highlights of the day. Accommodations, whether in lodges or camp tents, were excellent, with food, showers, Wi-Fi, and electricity available. I highly recommend a safari tour with Melslopes.

Meru Slopes provided a wonderful experience for a very reasonable price
My time in Tanzania was absolutely amazing. Prior to the trip Almachius was prompt with replies every time I had a question. Stanley was a wonderful guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very patient with an immature group of 4 from China. Bonge is a great chef, his meals were delicious and plentiful. We saw the Big 5 in addition to many other animals and birds. Camping was as expected. Rustic, but with flush toilets, running water, and cold showers that I would call invigorating rather than frigid. Overall this was a fantastic experience and I would book with Meru Slopes again without hesitation.

A reliable local company
Our trip to Tanzania with Meru Slopes Tours was unforgettable. I contacted several companies and after some research chose Meru Slopes, as I liked the proposed itinerary and the pricing seemed good.
Jerome patiently answered all our questions, and worked with us on the itinerary to suit us best. We spent 8 days watching game on a private mid-range safari plus some extra days for additional activities. We had a great time hiking the Empakaai Crater, biking in Mto Wa Mbu and spending a day walking on the Shira Plateau of Kilimanjaro.
We had a lot of fantastic sightings during the safari, including the Great Migration Grumeti river crossing!
Samuel was a great guide, a responsible driver and had a great sense of humour. Every morning he would meet us with a big smile and a clean car :-).
I have to mention the lunches. At the picnic sites we saw many people with simple lunch boxes. Our lunch consisted of cooked meals, vegetables, fresh fruit and a choice... Read more os soft drinks, wine, beer, tea and coffee. All served on a neat table cloth.
I highly recommend Meru Slopes Tours and hope to use their help again, if travelling to Tanzania. Samuel, Jerome - thank you!

Amazing experience and highly recommend Meru Slopes for your safari. We did a 9-Day Private Camping Big 5 Safari. We visited Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara.

Our guide Asantah Kheri is really experienced and wonderful guy! Well planned everyday safari journey and agenda is very much appreciated! Also detailed explanation is there and he is ready to answer all the questions regarding the nature, country and culture!

Professional, kind and reliable.
We just finished our safari and it was truly amazing. Our contact person from Meru Slopes, Shadrak, arranged everything perfectly down to the last detail. Even last-minute adjustments to make it even better for us were arranged in no time. Communication before the trip was very pleasant. We were able to tailor it exactly as we wanted and we always received a quick and detailed response from Shadrak.
We were on the road with our very friendly and experienced guide Jacob. He showed us fantastically beautiful places, knew how to find special animals and provided us with information about everything we wanted to know. His kindness, patience, humor and singing and imitation skills made the experience complete for us. It was a joy to go out together every day.
The accommodations are lovely; the people are friendly, it's clean, the views are amazing and there is a wide choice of delicious food.
We had an amazing honeymoon thanks to Meru Slopes, we would highly recommend booking your safari with them.

Memorable 4-Day Safari with Meru Slopes – Highly Recommended!
I recently completed a 4-day safari with Meru Slopes and had a fantastic experience. From start to finish, I felt well taken care of by Jerome, who was always available and answered all my questions promptly. His communication was outstanding and made the whole process smooth and stress-free.
Our driver, Daniel, was outstanding—his 25+ years of experience really showed. He drove safely and always made sure we had plenty of time to take photos whenever we spotted wildlife. Thanks to him, we saw 4 out of the Big 5, missing only the elusive leopard. It truly felt like a dream come true!
A special mention to Meru Slopes for providing complimentary transportation and a night at the hotel before the safari began. This thoughtful gesture ensured we were well-rested and ready for our adventure in the morning.

Our guide Robert was amazing! He made a huge effort every day so we could see all the animals. His experience and knowledge were very valuable, because he was able to choose and put us always in the best spots. He quickly adapted to our group and knows a lot about all the animals and where to find them. He also drove to more far away and remote places so we could see the animals in their habitats without other jeeps nearby, which gave us a very special experience.
Gideon cooked the best food, tasted like grandma’s food, it felt like we were home, and he was always kind, happy and energetic! We were very spoiled by him!
We already miss them both! If you can choose your guide and cook, ask for them and you will not regret.
