An Unforgettable Safari
4/5

We did the 4D/3N safari in the Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru with our guide, Samuel Chege. An absolute 10 as a person, guide, and driver. He was very friendly and attentive, and gave us information about the animals we saw. He made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of at all times. We really appreciate the sense of safety he gave us.
As for the organization, the third day of the tour was the weakest. You spend most of the day on the road heading to Lake Nakuru. However, in the morning we were able to visit a Maasai village ($20 per person). Also, due to rain and muddy roads, we couldn’t make the optional stop at Lake Naivasha. When we arrived in Nakuru, the hotel we were supposed to stay in was full, so we had to be relocated to another hotel of a lower category.

All in all, the experience was unforgettable, and we would definitely do it again because of its great value for money.

Samuel Chege the king
5/5

I had the chance to go on a safari in the Masai Mara with Samuel Chege and it was truly unforgettable. From the very beginning, he was extremely friendly and pleasant, which made the whole experience enjoyable and relaxed. Samuel has an incredible knowledge of all the animals in the reserve: he shares fascinating facts, stories, and details that make every sighting so much more special.

You can tell he truly loves what he does, and that passion comes through in every explanation. Thanks to him, we were able to experience the safari not only as an adventure but also as something educational and enriching. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone who wants to experience the Masai Mara in the best possible way.

“It was a wonderful trip and an unforgettable experience. I especially appreciated that the hotels and tours were well arranged, so I had nothing to worry about. If I had to point out one thing, the shower in the tent on the first day had a metallic smell, so I hope that can be improved.

Fantastic experience
5/5

We had a great experience with Jocky Tours and our driver Alex. The communication worked very well and quickly and our wishes were met. We were 3 days in the Masai Mara, 1 day Lake Nakuru and 2 days in Amboseli. We saw the most animals in the Masai Mara. We also did a balloon safari in the Masai Mara which was also very nice due to the Great Migration. The distances between the parks are very long. You spend a lot of time in the car.

Worth it!
5/5

Overall, we were very satisfied with our experience. Our tour guide, James Gichina, was great. He always made sure we were having a good time. We did have some issues with the accommodation (the one we originally booked was overbooked), but we were upgraded, so in the end we were happy with it.
As for Jocky Tours’ communication, they always replied very quickly, although sometimes they only answered a few of my questions. It wasn’t a big problem, though, because I could just send another email and they would respond.
And one tip: don’t expect everything to be super organized in Kenya. This is Kenya. (Something I’ve learned during my two weeks in Nairobi & Masai Mara. Haha)

Jockey tours Masai Mara tour is definitely worth the price that you pay for. Our tour guide, James Gichina tried his best to show us the diverse animals in the Masai Mara and the hotel that we stayed in was also impeccable. Definitely more than I expected. If you are planning a trip to Masai Mara, Jocky tours is the right choice :)
