Safari and Victoria Falls trip
5/5

Shann organized our six night trip end to end. All we had to do is be where we were supposed to be. The Shalati Bridge Train Hotel is a must stay if you are doing a safari in Kruger National Park. We stayed at the Waterfalls Lodge in Victoria Falls, the accomodations were just fine, but nothing special. The staff was outstanding. We highly recommend Shann and Safari.com for your vacation planning. They are outstanding!

Anja at Safari.com took a lot of time to find a perfect itinerary for our group that fit everyone's budget. She paid attention to detail and went the extra mile to accommodate our requests. The entire trip was as smooth and seamless as can be. We loved everything about it and will absolutely recommend it to anyone wanting to take a safari

A Dream Safari Made Perfect by Mel & Safari.com
5/5

Celebrating my 45th birthday on an African safari was a lifelong dream, and Safari.com made it absolutely unforgettable. Mel was incredible from start to finish helping me choose the perfect itinerary, accommodations, and safari experience while always being available to answer questions and offer guidance.

Planning a trip like this can feel intimidating, but Mel’s professionalism and communication made the entire process seamless and stress-free. From arrival to departure, every detail was perfect. The safaris were spectacular, and the accommodations were truly five-star amazing. A trip and birthday celebration I’ll never forget!

Set and forget (Vic Falls Safari Lodge did it)
3/5

While the lodge staff and the experiences werefantastic, Safari.com provided no itinerary, luxury deck on cruise not honoured.
It was like a set and forget.
Once we had booked and paid there was little or no communication from them.
Hence we arived at Lodge not having an itinerary!
We had to take a photo of our itinerary from lodge to find out what it was!!

After I booked, did not communicate what she should have.
3/5

I had a good experience booking my trip, but after I paid, communication was lacking. When I was looking to book, the agent got back to me very quickly. Once I paid, it could be days before I heard from her. I've never used a travel agent before, but I expected to be told more. I was not given a detailed itinerary until a day into our trip by someone else on the ground, who was supposed to be available to me. Also had no idea we were flying into Zimbabwe (supposed to go to Zambia and Botswana). We needed a Declaration and $100 US dollars to enter the country. This was not communicated to me at all!!, and we almost didn't make it in. I assumed a travel agent would let know. Am I wrong?? Then I got very sick (got insurance with booking) and asked the person I was to contact on the ground what to do, and crickets. The actual places and things that were booked were wonderful and exactly what I wanted. It would have been nice to have the communication, especially since I was't sure we could continue in Zimbabwe and would have to return to South Africa.

Excellent hospitality
5/5

Hoyo Hoyo safari lodge has exceptional hospitality and the staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and aim to please!
The experience was amazing and trip of a lifetime. The rooms are as seen on website! So cool!
The only negative I have to say is the smell in the rooms (musty smell) needs to be addressed! I’m not sure if it’s due to all the rain recently or if that is the way they are due to the bamboo walls!

Exceptional Service
5/5

We had an excellent experience with Safari.com and in particular Cearl Marney. She gave us various safari packages to choose from and we selected Tilney Manor at Sanbona Game Reserve. Cearl was very efficient in making the booking and keeping us up to date. Their professionalism is to be admired and I have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Safari.com and Dolan Sequera were superb, nothing was left to doubt.
5/5

We have been home for about three weeks since our time in Sabi Sands. We traveled for an additional two weeks in Europe and once home, our thoughts returned to this magnificent trip to South Africa. Mala Mala was our first safari experience, it will be forever impressed upon our memories. The proximity to the animals was spectacular. The experience was first rate experience in every aspect. Our guide (called Rangers at Mala Mala) was Nic, who seemed to enjoy himself as much as we did and he was uncanny how he sensed and spotted animals long before we did. The lodge was terrific, food excellent, staff even better. We very much appreciate how our Ranger, Nic ,spent much of the free time between drives checking on us and joining us for breakfast as well as several dinners. The Mala Mala Rangers seemed to be a step above the rest (granted I have limited experience). Mala Mala is such a large tract of land, yet we covered the vast majority of it over our four days there. The two drives a day just built upon each other as we became more in tune to our surroundings and fell in love with being in the bush, far more than we expected. We were transferred from Mala Mala to Idube seemlessly. Again, thanks to Safari.com arrangements. Idube provided a different but equally wonderful experience. The game drives were similarly arranged and both the food and staff was wonderful. Our guide, FJ, a 6'7" South African with a laugh that seemed to draw animals to us. His imitation of leopard calls, while done jokingly, were uncannily accurate. We spent 3 days at Idube and were then transferred back to Skukusa airport for our return to JNB airport, This transfer provided us our first real look a look at safari in Kruger vs Sabi Sands, which without a thorough investigation on my part, would not have brought the same experience as we had in Sabi Sands. The vehicles in Kruger are covered and seem to have limited visibility. Again, just an observance on my part.

While safari may seem like a once in a lifetime experience, I find it hard to believe we will not return to this wonderful area of South Africa. We enjoyed it that much Thanks again to Dolan and the Safari.com team.

Pascal was patient and accomodating given the challenges with my flight changes.
5/5

Safari.com helped us find the perfect safari experience to maximize the short amount of time we had for a sister's safari trip. It was our first safari for both of us and Pascal helped us find the perfect place based on our requests. The Simbavati Ridge Lodge was a top notch place to stay- 5 stars all around. Amazing food, warm and friendly staff, clean and modern accommodations, and importantly, helped us see the Big 5 by day 2. Trip of a lifetime!

Umkumbe lodge rocks
5/5

We have nothing but praise for our bush experience with Umkumbe and our guide Pieter and our tracker Phineas. The game drives were exciting and successful in finding all the big game we hoped for. Pieter has deep knowledge of the wildlife and got us to some awesome viewing positions. We always had a refreshment break, one morning even fresh crepes with fruit and whipped cream. The camp itself is top shelf with very helpful and pleasant staff and excellent meals. I have no suggestions for improvements. It was all so great.
