They made safaris easy and enjoyable!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5
We booked the 5 Days Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha Group Joining Safari with Axis Africa Safaris, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish.
Everything was well organized. We departed and arrived on time, the communication before and during the trip was smooth, and the Axis Africa team was always responsive and friendly whenever we had questions. We also appreciated that bottled water was always available during the long drives, and our accommodations throughout the safari were comfortable and exceeded our expectations.
Our adventure got off to an incredible start in Masai Mara when we spotted a leopard almost immediately—one of the most elusive members of the Big Five! By the end of the trip, we had successfully seen all of the Big Five, making the safari truly unforgettable.
Our journey continued to Lake Nakuru National Park, where we witnessed a lion feeding on its prey. It was both an incredible and humbling experience—a reminder of the true circle of life in the wild. While it was sad to witness, seeing nature unfold as it truly is made the experience even more memorable.
We also visited Hell’s Gate National Park, where we enjoyed an interactive walking tour through the spectacular gorge and had the unique opportunity to experience a walking safari. It was a refreshing change from the game drives and allowed us to appreciate Kenya’s beautiful landscapes up close.
At Lake Naivasha, we explored the lakeshore and saw the vibrant activity around the area. It was interesting to see how the lake supports local commerce and daily life, offering a different perspective from the wildlife-focused parts of the safari.
A special thank you to our guide, Kelvin Mimi, who made this trip exceptional. He is courteous, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife. It was impressive how he could safely drive while still spotting animals that many of us would have completely missed. He always positioned the vehicle so everyone had the best possible view and plenty of opportunities to take great photos.
Kelvin also went the extra mile to accommodate our requests and made sure everyone enjoyed the experience. His network with other safari guides helped us locate some of the more difficult animals to find, and he shared interesting facts about each animal and species we encountered, making every game drive both exciting and educational.
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better safari experience. We highly recommend Axis Africa Safaris, and if you have the opportunity, definitely request Kelvin Mimi as your guide. He truly made our Kenyan safari unforgettable, and this is a trip we will remember for a lifetime.

Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris exceeded our expectations and Kelvin was the best!
Let me start from the very first day when our driver picked us up from our hotel. He was friendly and helpful. Upon arriving at the Axis Africa office, we were briefed on our 5-day tour, making sure we were fully aware of our itinerary. That’s when we met our guide, Kelvin.
He brought plenty of bottled water for the entire trip, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Throughout the tour, he always made sure we were never hungry or thirsty.
One thing I really liked about Kelvin was how dedicated he was to finding animals. At one point, I was wondering why there were no other safari vehicles around in the Masai Mara, but I later realized he was taking us to the areas where he believed we had the best chance of spotting wildlife. Even from a distance, he could spot animals with incredible accuracy. It definitely showed how experienced he is as a safari guide.
On our very first day, we were already lucky enough to spot the elusive leopard and cheetah. Throughout the tour, Kelvin always made sure we had the best possible views of the animals. We had so many safe close encounters with lions and giraffes, and it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Every day, he would ask how we were, how we slept, and how the food was. He was consistently thoughtful, kind, and attentive.
Thank you, Kelvin, for taking such good care of us and for always going above and beyond what was expected. We would definitely recommend Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris and especially Kelvin to our family and friends.

Extremely knowledgeable, patient and passionate about his job.
What a fantastic 3 days in the Maasai Mara with my family. Can not recommend Axis Africa and Ritchie more. We were spoiled seeing the Big 5 twice and even a leopard hunting. We will definitely be back again!

Great
Our seven-day safari began on June 22, 2026, and it was an experience we'll never forget. We quickly learned that your guide can make all the difference, and we were fortunate to have Robert.
Robert's customer service is exceptional. He consistently went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible experience. His knowledge of the wildlife is outstanding, and he shared fascinating information about nearly every animal we encountered. Beyond the wildlife, Robert also educated us about the history of the region and its surroundings, making the journey even more meaningful.
No request was ever too much. Whatever we needed or wanted, Robert did everything he could to make it happen and ensure we had an unforgettable safari. If you're planning a safari, ask for Robert—you won't be disappointed. Go, Robert, go!
I'd also like to recognize Lenox for his excellent communication skills and professionalism throughout our trip.
Thank you both for making our safari a truly memorable experience.

Unforgettable Experience
We did a 3 day safari to Maasai Mara with Axis and it couldn’t have been better. They picked us up at our hotel and drove us to their office to take care of the logistical issues.
Afterwards, we started our trip with Hassan, our driver and guide, who was very friendly from the start. Despite the bumpy road it is a very beautiful ride and whenever we had any questions, our guide answered us.
That same day we did an afternoon safari, starting at 4pm, where we got to see some animals very close. Afterwards we went to our camp (Sankale Camp) to have dinner and sleep and the food was very tasty and the accommodation was pretty decent. It definitely is an immersive experience, as you could hear the baboons at night.
The second day was a full day safari, where we had breakfast early, and the Camp packed us up our lunch to have at the Maasai Mara. It was an unforgettable day, as we got to see leopards, lions, cheetahs and even a serval cat, which is a rare sighting. Our guide, despite not always communicating to us where we were going, always took chances and search for the best opportunities to see the animals up close. We didn’t get the zebras crossing the Mara River, because when we arrived some zebras that were beginning to cross saw the crocodiles and got spooked up and returned. Despite that, it was still amazing to see all of the action at the river, and Hassan was very knowledgeable about every aspect of the animals we asked him.
The last day we returned to Nairobi, although in retrospect we could’ve done the 4 day safari with Axis and go to Lake Naivasha and Nakuru. Still it was amazing and so much so, we did a second tour with Axis the following day to go to Lake Naivasha and Crescent Island.
This second tour was one day and a private tour, and although I feel we could have spend more time at Crescent Island, it still was incredible. Our driver that day (George) was also very nice and even stopped on our back to have the most beautiful picnic in the Great Rift Valley, you couldn’t beat that view for a lunch!
Axis seems a great young people led company with a lot of concern and respect for their costumers and as Hassan said to us “no game drive is the same”, so we might have not seen the zebras crossing but we saw a serval cat and got really close to some beautiful animals! It was wonderful and a one in a lifetime experience!

Safari in Kenya
Our safari experience was great. The best part was hiring a Spanish-speaking guide and translator (Antony Warui).
100% recommended. He looked after us, protected us, and never left us alone. He answered many of our questions and was very professional. He has extensive knowledge of the wildlife. Hiring him was a fantastic decision, and we plan to recommend him to family and friends. We also want to thank our driver, Peter Kapino, who was very knowledgeable about the area and showed us the Big Five safari animals.

Skilful driver with lots of knowledge about Kenya and the animals and very polite.
We had an absolutely incredible safari experience with Peter Kapino as our guide. He always went above and beyond to take us to the best spots to get impressively close to the animals, navigating the terrain with great skill and always making sure we were comfortable and safe.
For full transparency, the boat trip cost twenty dollars, but it was absolutely worth every penny for the experience. The Hell's Gate Park visit came to twenty-five dollars, which included a fifteen-dollar bike rental (a bit expensive) and a ten-dollar entry fee, but allowed for a truly unique adventure. There was no other added values to the initial fees.
As for accommodations, the hotels at Nakuru (Buraha Zenoni) and in the Masai Mara (Ntulele Camp) were fantastic. However, the hotel in Naivasha (Apex Resort) was a bit below standard, despite the food being good, so we would suggest considering an upgrade there if you are looking for that extra level of comfort.

Great experience
We did the Safari with axis africa and we could not be more satisfied. Our guide Peter Kapino was Great, always driving to the Best spots so we could have the best view of the animals. Everything was running on time. They pick us up at the hotel early in the morning and leave us latter on after the day was ended. We did not have to worry about anything else. When it comes to optional activities, We did the boat ride Safari (20USD per person), which was really fun too. We also did the hell gate national Park by bicycle (15USD + 10USD per person) which was great. We could get really close to the animals. Peter was always there for us, in the begining and end of every experience. Overall we loved it. We will recommend it to all our friends.
