Big 5 with Collin
We saw the "Big 5" thanks to our guide, Collin. It was an unforgettable adventure that exceeded all expectations. The 6-day tour began at Lake Naivasha and Crescent Island—featuring a boat ride and a walking tour—where we saw hippos, eagles, zebras, giraffes, gazelles, and waterbuck. We then transferred by jeep to the Masai Mara. During the two-day safari there, we managed to see lions hunting (a truly thrilling and unique experience), as well as leopards, elephants, buffalo, cheetahs, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, monkeys, warthogs, vultures, jackals, and hyenas—all the animals one imagines seeing when visiting this country. To complete the "Big 5," our guide Collin took us to Nakuru, where we saw the black rhino. Our children, aged 10 and 6, were thrilled with the time spent on this tour; thanks to our guide's warmth and kindness, they grew very fond of him, calling him "Uncle Collin"—their uncle from Kenya. We sincerely thank Collin for the time and expertise he dedicated to us, and Lucy from Axis Africa Safari, who impeccably selected every place we stayed and made this trip unforgettable—an experience that will forever remain in our hearts and memories. A heartfelt thank you to you all!
Great Trip to Maasai Mara, Amboseli, Tsavo East and Tsavo West
We had two great Safaris with Raymond and Jack as our drivers. We were picked up from our hotel and after that point everything was taken care of for us. The accommodations that Axis booked us into were very nice and the staff at each hotel/lodge were very attentive and provided very good service.
We saw the Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Hell’s Gate with Jack. With Raymond we saw Maasai Mara, Amboseli, Tsavo West, and Tsavo East.
We throughly enjoyed having both Jack and Raymond as our drivers. Both were passionate and excited when we saw hard to find animals like the leopard or lion cubs. They were knowledgeable and had answers for all the questions we had about the animals. After 5 or 6 days with each driver, it feels like we made a new friend in each of them!
Each park has something different to offer and we were happy that Axis was able to provide a good itinerary that allowed us to see each one! I would definitely book with Axis Africa and Jack/Raymond again.

Khalifa was the best, he was a lovely guide that knew what he was doing.
Communication in planning the trip was excellent through Tabitha, and all the staff were lovely in the office. Me and my partner ended up deciding to stay at the Wild Nest camp, which was 100% worth the money, great service and food. Khalifa was the best guide we could’ve asked for, very funny, interesting, and experienced. We were able to see all the animals we wanted to with his help (including a river crossing!)
An incredible adventure that we will never forget!
We spent six wonderful days exploring Lake Naivasha, Aberdare, the Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru National Park a journey that we will carry in our hearts forever. A very special thank you to our guide, Collin, who spoke Italian and knew exactly how to engage and win over our two children, aged 10 and 6, allowing them to fully enjoy this truly unique experience. Thanks to his experience and great attention to detail, we managed to see all of the Big Five, and we were even lucky enough to witness a lion hunt an incredible and unforgettable experience that is difficult to put into words! Collin was always available, patient and attentive to all our needs, going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Travelling with two children is not always easy, but having someone so helpful and accommodating by our side truly made all the difference. Dickson was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and hard-working. Grateful to have him as our guide!
We journeyed to Amboseli and saw incredible wildlife. Dickson, our driver and guide, was phenomenal. He drove expertly for hours on bumpy roads and in the vast expanse of the park to get us close to amazing wildlife scenes. Loved the elephants, and getting to witness whole families up close and personal!
What an amazing tour - would highly recommend!

Great 6-day safari
We did a 6-day safari (Masaai Mara + Nakuru + Naivasha + Amboseli). 6 people group in private Jeep.
The agency is very reactive and precise during organization phase.
Well organized for pickup and drop off.
Good experience in all the parks, good accomodations selected - I would recommend the medium level accomodations for both comfort and overnight access to electricity to charge your devices.
Amazing guide (Hassan): excellent driver, very interesting information and conversations, able to adapt plans quickly and always suggest the best option. Most important: VERY respectful of rules inside the parks, never chased animals (unlike some other guides...).
Given the great experience we had, Axis offered an amazing value for money.

Absolutely phenomenal!
Your safari experience is only as good as your guide. Raymond was an excellent guide. He knew exactly where to go, when to go and had tremendous patience for animal sightings. He was very knowledgeable and went out of the way to ensure we had a fulfilling experience. We not only saw the big 5 and by extension the super 7, we managed to see a hunt and the great migration, all in 1.5 days. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! I will recommend Axis Safaris in a heartbeat.

Well co-ordinated & organised. Very responsive.
Axis Travel was clear with communication & options. The deposit amount & then meeting them at their office in Nairobi was all smooth. Our guide Mohammed was an excellent game drive navigator. He was a wealth of knowledge of the Masaai wildlife, birds & life. I would definitely recommend him to anyone wanting to discover the gems of Kenya. Our lodge stay in Masaai Mara Chui was also beautiful with very friendly staff. Overall a great experience.

Unforgettable Memories of Our Masai Mara Trip
Hello, I am Pradeep Murti from San Francisco. I booked a Masai Mara package with Axis Africa Safaris in August 2026, and I would like to share my experience.
First, I would like to appreciate the excellent support provided by Lucy before our trip began. We initially booked the trip for seven people, which was later reduced to four, and finally three, due to unforeseen circumstances. Lucy helped us process the refunds for those who could not join the trip.
When our journey finally began, our Emirates flight was delayed by one and a half days. Despite the last-minute disruption, Lucy went above and beyond to help us adjust our itinerary. She coordinated with two resorts to modify our bookings just one day before our arrival and also arranged for us to be picked up directly from the airport instead of the hotel, as originally planned. We truly appreciated her prompt support and flexibility during a stressful situation.
I would especially like to recognize our guide, Ahmed Mohamed. This was our first visit to Masai Mara, and we had an unforgettable experience exploring this beautiful part of Africa. Words are not enough to express our gratitude to Ahmed. He was energetic, cheerful, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely down-to-earth throughout the entire trip.
From the moment he picked us up at the airport until the day he dropped us off, Ahmed was patient, professional, and always willing to help. He guided us through sightseeing, game drives, and the national parks, ensured we had refreshments and breaks whenever needed, and was always punctual. His ability to adjust the itinerary based on our interests and the available time was exceptional.
Even after we lost one and a half days because of the flight delay, Ahmed went above and beyond to make sure we still covered all the destinations we had originally planned. Thanks to his careful planning and dedication, we were able to visit Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Lake Naivasha without missing any of the major highlights.
Ahmed took us to different parts of Masai Mara to maximize our chances of seeing wildlife. Thanks to his expertise, we were fortunate enough to see a lion pride, cheetahs, rhinos (including a baby rhino), a herd of elephants with playful baby elephants, flamingos, and many other incredible animals that Masai Mara is famous for.
When we expressed interest in visiting a Maasai village to meet the local tribes, Ahmed arranged the visit quickly and seamlessly.
One of my biggest wishes was to see the Great Migration. Although several people told Ahmed that the migration was not taking place at that time and that there was no point in visiting the Mara River, he still took us there and patiently explained everything about the migration and the ecosystem. I truly appreciated his willingness to go the extra mile to make our experience complete.
Ahmed also carried a professional camera with a powerful telephoto lens. He generously allowed us to use his camera to capture stunning close-up photographs of wildlife that would have been impossible with our own equipment. Later, he even shared those beautiful photos with us, which was an incredibly thoughtful gesture.
Overall, what began as a stressful trip due to unexpected flight delays turned into one of the most memorable vacations we've ever had, thanks to Ahmed and the outstanding support from Axis Africa Safaris.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Ahmed Mohamed as a guide to anyone planning a safari with Axis Africa Safaris. His knowledge, professionalism, patience, and dedication made our trip truly exceptional. I am confident that anyone who travels with Ahmed will have an unforgettable experience.

Well-organized safari with a great wildlife experience
We had a wonderful safari experience with Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris. Communication before the trip was clear, and everything was well organized from start to finish.
Our guide was friendly, professional, and attentive to our requests. He always did his best to help us spot the animals we were hoping to see and shared interesting information about the wildlife and the Maasai Mara. We were fortunate to see four of the Big Five, and the overall wildlife experience exceeded our expectations.
The game drives were well planned, the vehicle was comfortable, and we always felt safe and well looked after.
We would happily recommend Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris to anyone looking for a reliable, well-organized, and enjoyable safari in Kenya.
