Amazing and fantastic experience, a good operator matter!
Cynthia from Axis has been incredibly helpful from the very start — always proactive and patient with our needs. And a special thanks to our amazing guide, Peter Ndungu, who has been fantastic throughout: patient, knowledgeable, and making sure we got the best views, photos, and experiences with the animals. Highly recommended — look no further!

Axis helped me choose my safari from the very beginning and responded quickly to my questions.
The safari was a great success. And thanks to my driver, Ken, I saw all the major animal species living there.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Tour Guide – Made Our Trip Unforgettable!
We had the absolute pleasure of having Tony as our tour guide during our recent trip and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we met him, he was warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable about the city’s rich history, culture, and hidden gems.
he brought every site to life with fascinating stories, historical insights, and even a bit of humor. He also made sure to tailor the tour to our interests, giving us plenty of time at the places we cared about most and offering great recommendations for food and local spots to explore on our own.

Responsive and helpful
My partner and I did a 4 day safari to Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru and had a great time. Our tour guide Peter Kapino was great, he answered all our questions and was very friendly. He tried to accommodate all the passengers in the group, which is not easy when people want to see different things. I must also say that his driving skills were impressive!
We saw 4 out of the big 5 (the leopard was being elusive!) but did see a cheetah and many other animals instead. As a whole, we were v satisfied with the number of animals we saw.
One constructive feedback to Axis Safari is to update the prices of the optional activities in the itinerary, and to note that soft drinks are not included in the lunches and some hotels. It will just help when planning how much cash to bring on the safari.
Overall, thank you Axis Safari and Peter for the memories.

Professional, passionate team—saw both Big Five and Special Five!
Our experience with Axis Africa Expedition & Safaris was simply unforgettable. From the very beginning, communication was clear, fast, and helpful. They ensured we were fully prepared and understood every part of the tour. The guide was phenomenal — incredibly knowledgeable about wildlife and very friendly, always making sure we were comfortable and engaged.
The highlight of the trip? We saw both the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo) and the Special Five (gerenuk, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, Grevy’s zebra, and reticulated giraffe)! Truly a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife experience.
The itinerary was well-paced, the vehicle was comfortable and reliable, and the lodges they arranged were clean, scenic, and offered great service. Every part of the trip showed their professionalism and dedication to customer satisfaction.
Overall, it was excellent value for money and a journey we’ll always treasure. Highly recommended for anyone planning a safari in East Africa!

Quick and effectice
We just finished our Safari in Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru and had a wonderful experience! Unfortunately we were not lucky enough to see the Leopard out of the Big Five, but our guide, Peter Kapino, tried his best to make sure we had a great time and saw as much as we could possibly see. And that's part of the beauty of a safari: you never know what you're going to find.
In terms of communication, Axis African Safaris where always very quick to reply to any questions.
Finally, the only constructive feedback I have is to update the amount of the optional boat trip in Lake Naivasha. We were initially told that it would cost 20 USD pp, however the current price is 30 USD pp. Not enough to ruin our trip in any way, but worth mentioning in order to better manage customer expectations in the future.
Thanks again for Axis Africa Expeditions, especially our guide Peter, for the unforgettable trip!

Amazing safari with Peter in Maasai Mara! Well organised 4-day trip which I highly recommend :)
We went on 4-day safari trip with Axis. The experience was very relaxed and well organised. The transportation was fast and comfortable. Driver and tour guide Peter was incredible and went above and beyond to explore the wildlife. For the accommodations we went for the luxury package which ensures a 5 star experience for food and rooms. Highly recommended to book with Axis!

Lovely experience - but didn’t see the river crossing
I had an amazing trip with Axis safari tours and Dickson as our guide and driver.
I went mid July to spend my birthday weekend as a solo female traveller and had a short but sweet and super rewarding trip. Dickson was a great driver and guide, always super positive, friendly and humble, making sure we are all comfortable, despite the long hours and tiring journey. He’s also always in contact with other guides so if someone has spotted a lion or another cool animal nearby, he’d know to rush there, and drive us as close as possible to take good shots.
Axis tour was also super helpful - I reached out to multiple companies prior to choosing them but they were the most responsive and always provided very thorough answers making me feel ensured. I asked many many questions and they were always able to accommodate to different requests and answer professionally. They picked me up from the airport early morning, then brought me to find an ATM that works (the one in the airport doesn’t work for local currency, only works if you take usd), and also dropped me off on return, making it a very seamless and safe journey.
It turns out they group you with different companies on the same Jeep depending on which tour you choose, but the customer service / sales experience was the best from Axis which made it feel like a safe and smooth journey.
I am a female solo traveller and obviously concerned for many reasons. But even for the allocation of group they tried to group us with other solo travellers and it was a great match - there were 2 other female solo travellers onboard! I was given the opportunity to select my preferred accommodation (which is very important especially for the campsites if you go for the budget option) and they even offered me an upgraded option for 30usd/2 days extra which was a life changer compared to where the others were allocated. At least there was hot water (even though you need to run it for 10 minutes) and the place was very clean and workers there felt like family, super warm and welcoming. Everyone in my jeep group booked with different companies and even though we went with the budget option, they said they couldn’t choose their preferred accomodation, not even subject to availability.
Unfortunately, I was told the great migration had a very high chance to be witnessed in July (during the days I went given I booked only 1 week ahead) but we only caught the start of the migration where there were large groups of wild beasts on their way from Tanzania but the river crossing scene was completely empty… our guide told us the best time is more mid August. I also heard from different groups that went around those days that they had to wait in a spot for 2-3 hours to see the river crossing but we didn’t get to experience this at all - the river was completely empty of wild beasts and we were just brought to look at hippos and crocodiles from afar, in the location where we were meant to see the river crossing - so that was a bit disappointing. But anyhow, I’ve enjoyed my little long weekend getaway and my first ever safari experience!
