Outstanding 8-Day Family Safari in Kenya with AXIS
Our family of six has just returned from an unforgettable 8-day safari across Kenya, visiting Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru NP and Maasai Mara, and we honestly could not have asked for a better experience.
From the very beginning, AXIS demonstrated exceptional professionalism, organization, and customer care. Every aspect of the trip was perfectly coordinated, allowing us to relax and fully enjoy the adventure. The itinerary was well balanced, combining incredible wildlife encounters with stunning landscapes and super comfortable accommodation, making it ideal for a family safari.
The highlight of the trip was undoubtedly our driver and guide, Khalifa. His professionalism, knowledge, and experience elevated the entire safari far beyond our expectations. Khalifa has an extraordinary ability to navigate the parks and spot wildlife, and thanks to his expertise we enjoyed countless memorable sightings throughout the trip including The Crossing. Each individual game drive has been unique and exciting.
What impressed us most was Khalifa's dedication to ensuring we had the best possible experience. He always seemed to know where to go and when, maximizing our opportunities to see wildlife. His patience, friendly personality, and willingness to answer endless questions made us feel comfortable and welcome throughout the journey. He was particularly wonderful with our family, creating an atmosphere that was both professional and relaxed.
We have travelled extensively, and this safari ranks among our best travel experiences ever. A huge thank you to AXIS for their excellent service and especially to Khalifa. We wholeheartedly recommend AXIS to anyone considering a safari in Kenya.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Axis Africa, and we are genuinely grateful to the entire team for making our Kenya safari so memorable.
A special mention to Mungai, our tour consultant, who handled all our room bookings, arrangements and safari planning. He was always helpful, responsive and professional, and made sure everything was arranged smoothly for us. We felt well taken care of throughout the trip, and whenever we needed anything, Mungai was there to assist us.
And then there was our incredible guide, Peter Ngigi — truly one of the best guides we could have asked for.
Peter went far beyond what we expected to make our safari special. He put in tremendous effort to help us see the Big Five, and his knowledge, experience and understanding of the animals were exceptional. But what impressed us most was not just his skills as a guide — it was the way he treated us as guests.
Peter genuinely listens to his guests. He understands what they want to experience and does everything possible to make it happen. He is kind, generous, patient, extremely helpful and incredibly smart at what he does. He handles every situation calmly and smoothly, and you can immediately see that he takes great pride in his work.
What makes Peter different is that he doesn’t treat a safari like just another job. He makes you feel that your safari is his safari and that your experience matters to him personally. He was always thinking ahead, helping us with anything we needed and making sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment.
We are extremely grateful to Peter and to Axis Africa for giving us such an unforgettable experience in Kenya.

Everything you could ever want in a tour guide and more.
The safari was absolutely sensational, and I wholeheartedly believe that you could not find a better safari experience in ANY other place at all.
To start with, the safari itself was almost surreal. We saw every animal we could hope to see, gorgeous landscapes, beautiful views, and many environments and ecosystems. The animals included but were not limited to cheetahs, leopards, lions, rhinos, and baby elephants! The car was spacious and had a great view of the area from the open roof.
But what made it even more special was the tour guide, Tom. He was what made the trip one of a lifetime and so memorable. He speaks English so well and it’s fantastically easy to have fluid conversations with him, ask questions, and listen to explanations, all topped by him being incredibly calm, patient, and passionate about making sure you have the best experience possible. He’s knowledgable and skilled and it increases the quality of the journey infinitely
He always found the greatest spots to see animals, the most comfortable spots for lunch, and the ways to make each day feel like a whole adventure in itself. He was truly magical.

Extraordinary
Our safari was an absolute dream, and that is largely thanks to our extraordinary driver and guide Rodger. Having an expert who knows the land so well allowed us to accomplish the ultimate goal: seeing all the Big 5! But what truly set him apart was his incredible skill behind the wheel. Every single time we spotted wildlife, he instinctively maneuvered the vehicle to give us the absolute best angle and perspective, ensuring unobstructed views and perfect photo opportunities every time. On top of his expertise and keen eye, his attention to detail was unmatched. Despite dust and mud that comes with daily game drives, we stepped into a completely spotless, fresh, and clean vehicle every single morning. He was an absolute professional, a highly knowledgeable guide, and a wonderful person to travel with. If you are looking for a flawless safari experience, you could not possibly ask for better!

An unforgettable adventure thanks to true professionals
Six unforgettable days in Kenya. Our guide, Rodger, took care of everything. He was fantastic, fulfilling our every request, even during the safaris. He was expert and always knew how to position himself perfectly! The jeep was also cleaned every morning. I managed to see all the Big 5 and other incredible animals, including a leopard on a tree. Then the view of Kilimanjaro with the elephants was a memory I'll cherish forever. Absolutely unforgettable.

Unforgattable
Roger is a legend. He drove tirelessly for 6 days between the Masai Mara, Nakuru, and Amboseli. He guided us through the parks and showed us every animal possible. He is highly knowledgeable and always stays calm in the face of the unexpected. The jeep was always spotless, and Rodger was always incredibly kind. An experience I will never forget.
