5 Day Great Safari - Surreal Experience!
4/5

We booked a 5-day group Great Safari which was an incredible experience! We saw the big 5 animals in 1 day. Our itinerary included Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara, and Tarangire. Our guide, Melita, has in depth knowledge of all the animals, parks, and the Maasai people. He navigated the drive really well. I am so glad he was our guide!! My only feedback is for improved communication with the briefer. Our itinerary was changed and we weren’t informed until the night prior. I also had difficulty reaching our briefer after the Safari to arrange transfers but all was arranged appropriately in the end. The tour was all inclusive with transfers, food, water, and lodging. All of the lodging were very beautiful, accommodated different dietary restrictions, and were in scenic places in the parks. The exception is the SG resort in Arusha which unfortunately had outdated and unclean rooms for one of our nights. Overall, I recommend this operator for your journey!

Suricata Safari Made Our Dream Safari Come True!
5/5

We just came back from an incredible 4-day safari with Suricata Safari, and without a doubt, this has been the best experience of our lives so far. My wife and I had the chance to visit Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and the Ngorongoro Crater — three breathtaking locations full of wildlife and stunning landscapes.

Our guide, Damian, truly made the experience unforgettable. With over 8 years of experience, his knowledge, passion, and instinct for finding the best wildlife spots were simply outstanding. Thanks to him, we had the rare opportunity to see the Big Five — something we heard is quite difficult to achieve, especially in such a short time. Damian always went the extra mile, sometimes literally, to make sure we had the best views and the closest encounters with the animals. His ability to position the vehicle for perfect photo and video opportunities was a real bonus — we came home with some once-in-a-lifetime shots!

Another special mention goes to our chef, James, who made every meal a highlight in itself. Suricata Safari does something unique: they bring a chef along to prepare fresh and delicious Tanzanian meals every day. This was a huge advantage compared to other tour companies we saw, who didn't offer anything close to the quality or authenticity of the food we enjoyed. James introduced us to so many wonderful dishes — every meal felt like a celebration.

A few tips if you’re considering Suricata Safari:

Trust your guide and ask lots of questions — Damian’s knowledge added so much to every sighting.

Bring a good camera with a zoom lens; you’ll be so close to the animals, you’ll want to capture it all.

Don’t worry about the food — Suricata has you covered better than you can imagine!

Pack warm clothes for early morning drives, especially in the Ngorongoro area — it can get surprisingly chilly.

Overall, Suricata Safari exceeded all our expectations. From personalized service to unforgettable wildlife encounters, everything was handled with professionalism and heart. We would recommend them 100% to anyone dreaming of an authentic, well-organized, and truly magical safari experience.

Thank you again to Damian, James, and the entire Suricata Safari team for giving us memories we will cherish for a lifetime!

It was a great experience!
5/5

I participated alone as a woman.
The day before, John came to the hotel to explain the camp.
We were asked to prepare a tip of $15 per day (we gave it to the driver on the last day, but it seems that it is not compulsory).

There were three members in the group: myself and two Westerners on honeymoon. These two stayed at the lodge, so I was the only one at the camp, but chef James was with me at night and always took care of me.
He was always very kind to me, even though I am not good at English, and it was very reassuring.

At the camp, they will set up a small tent for you.
Sleeping bags, cushions, and mattresses are provided.
At the campsite, only cold water showers are available in the Serengeti, but hot water showers are available elsewhere.

The campsite in Ngorongoro is very cold, so warm clothes are essential, but the scenery was amazing.

During the safari, in addition to the BIG5, we were able to see cheetahs and hippos up close.
Although it was the rainy season, it didn't rain.
I think it would be difficult to find animals because of the lush grass, but on the other hand, the greenery was so beautiful!
Our guide, Damien, knew the course very well and contacted the surroundings by radio so that we could see the animals.
I am grateful that we were able to see so many animals even though it was the rainy season.

We were asked to visit a Maasai village, and it cost $33 per person when we did it.
They showed us singing and dancing, how to make a fire, and showed us inside the houses.
It seemed a bit expensive, but it seems that the money was used to buy medicine and water for the children.

This time, the members I was with were two very nice people, so I had a great time from start to finish and it was the best tour ever!!

Nice park stays, delicious chef-prepared meals, Big Five sightings, and a fun driver "Rasta Man" ma
5/5

Our 4-day safari was an absolutely unforgettable experience! The accommodations within the national parks were amazing – comfortable, well-located, and truly immersed in the stunning natural surroundings.
A major highlight was the incredible food we enjoyed throughout the trip. Our personal chef, who traveled with us, prepared the most delicious meals, even in the heart of the wilderness! It was a real treat.
Of course, the wildlife viewing was spectacular. We were thrilled to see a huge variety of animals, including the coveted Big Five! Our guide was excellent at spotting wildlife and shared fascinating insights about the animals and their environment.
Our driver, who we affectionately nicknamed "Rasta Man," was fantastic! He was not only a skilled and safe driver but also incredibly friendly and had a great sense of humor, making the journeys between locations a lot of fun.
We wholeheartedly recommend this safari for anyone looking for an amazing wildlife adventure with top-notch accommodations, delicious food, and a fantastic guide.
