The best safari experience we could have had!
5/5

Wow - this was a crazy good experience that went beyond all of our expectations. Our guide, Freddy, was super knowledgeable, accommodating, attentive, and just a nice guy to be around. The service in all of our accommodations, especially at the Suricata Boma Lodge, was 10/10. The food was always great as well! Everyone at Suricata was friendly and communicative, we found all services and scheduling reliable, and they were very open when anything went different from the original plan, making sure whatever replacement was found was even better than the original. i could not recomment their services more!

Incredible 5-day safari with knowledgeable guide Melita. Amazing wildlife, great food, and friendly
5/5

We went on a 5-day safari with Surricata Safari, and it was an unforgettable experience. Our guide, Melita, was simply the best. She was incredibly kind and had vast knowledge about the animals, and her enthusiasm for wildlife was contagious.

We were fortunate to see all the animals we hoped for, including lions, giraffes, zebras, elephants, rhinos, hippos, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, antelopes, wildebeests, buffalo, and flamingos. Each animal was a highlight for us.

The safari vehicle was very comfortable, and everyone had a window seat. The drives were pleasant as well. The food was delicious, and the camping sites were beautiful. The tents were set up for us, complete with mattresses and sleeping bags. Spending nights under the starry sky was magical.

The entire team at Surricata Safari was always friendly, and we felt welcomed at all times. Overall, it was an amazing experience and the best thing we've ever done. We highly recommend it, especially with Melita as your guide! 😇

Knowledgeable, kind, flexible
5/5

Felix was AMAZING, we had such a wonderful experience. The food was amazing, the stays by the parks were phenomenal. Felix was knowledgeable, allowed us to stop often for different things and let us take our time, and incredibly kind.

We were able to see every animal.

I highly recommend a 7 day tour as 3 days in the Serengeti is necessary to see everything and actually take your time. The private tour for a couple was perfect, we met others at hotels but we were able to be more flexible with our schedule. Absolutely recommend.

Thank you Felix!

Best honeymoon ever! Asante sana!
5/5

From the moment we arrived, this safari company exceeded every expectation. Suricata Safari was flawless, and the staff went above and beyond to make every moment special. Very big thanks to NIC BOY who was so amazing at explaining everything that we were going to do, and helped us understand the whole process soo much better. Our guide Benson was not only incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife and ecosystems but also had a wonderful sense of humor and a deep respect for nature.
We also had a private chef, Samson, who’s cooking was FLAWLESS, even my husband who is a picky eater licked the plates. Amazing cultural experience in the gastronomic area!

Every game drive felt like a new adventure. We were fortunate enough to witness a cheetah hunting and devouring it’s prey, along with countless other animals — from herds of elephants gracefully moving across the plains to elusive leopards hiding in the grass waiting for gazzelles. Watching a lioness with her cubs at sunrise was one of the most breathtaking moments of my life.

The accommodations were equally impressive — well organised tents that kept us safe and warm in the nights. We also had some friendly visitors to the tents: a giant elephant and a family of zebras. Falling asleep to the sounds of the wild and waking up to the sight of giraffes grazing nearby felt like something out of a dream.

What stood out most was how the experience was crafted with both adventure and sustainability in mind. The respect for wildlife, the land, and the local communities was evident in everything they did.

If you’re considering a safari, stop thinking — just do it. This was hands down one of the most magical, humbling, and inspiring trips we’ve ever taken. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to reconnect with nature and experience the wild in its purest form

First Africa ! First Safari !!!!!!
5/5

I joined Suricata Safari Tour in Tanzania on 2025/06/27 from Japan!
When I was searching for a tour company, I had a hard time finding a good company because there were so many tour companies, but Suricata was a great company!I had a hard time finding a good tour company when I was searching for tours, but Suricata is a great company!
The staff are all friendly and helpful and will answer any questions you may have.If we had any problems during the tour, they took care of it properly. We really appreciated it.(We forgot our cell phones, ran out of memory cards, etc...)
Our guide was Lewis and he was extremely helpful!
The language of the tour is English only, so you may need to be careful about that.
The tour process is Tarangire→Manyana Lake→Serengeti→Ngorongro
The tour process is from Tarangire to Manyana Lake to Serengeti to Ngorongro.
We were in a group and shared the same car with 4 other participants! All the members were friendly and we got along well with each other.
We stayed 2 nights in a luxury villa and 2 nights in a large, well-equipped tent. Both have hot showers!
It is worth going because you can see a lot of animals!
Enjoy!

Complete humility, combined with helpfulness, understanding and experience.
5/5

We just returned from a 4-day group camping safari with Suricata Safari – and it was truly an unforgettable experience! Everything was spot on: the safari itself, the food, the atmosphere, and especially our amazing guide, Lewis.

The tour took us through Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro – and it turned out to be the perfect combination. Each park offered something unique and brought us closer to different animals and landscapes. Tarangire was packed with giraffes, zebras, and elephants. Serengeti delivered countless lions, hippos, and many other species. And in Ngorongoro, we rounded things off by spotting rhinos, buffalo, monkeys, zebras, and so much more. It truly felt like we saw everything we could hope for – and then some.

Our guide, Lewis, was outstanding. Calm, knowledgeable, humble, and deeply passionate about nature – he made the whole trip feel safe, smooth, and very special. The food exceeded all expectations, with warm meals prepared by our own chef every day. And spending the nights camping inside the national parks, surrounded by wildlife sounds, was an incredible and unforgettable experience.

All in all, a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. We can’t recommend Suricata Safari enough!

Amazing and exciting journey creating memories for life
5/5

We went for a five day tour with Suricata safari that was absolutely amazing. Rocky was a fantastic guide, being very knowledgeable, helpful and always gave us the best views of the animals. He taught us a lot about the animals, national parks, history and Tanzania in general.
The accommodation provided was great, and the Suricata Boma Lodge was amazing, located overlooking the lake, with great food, entertainment, clean big rooms and perfect service. The personnel was very kind, creating a joyful, relaxed and happy atmosphere.
We got freshly prepared meals for lunch in the parks, which was much appreciated with hungry teenagers.
We saw the ”big five” and many other animals like cheetah, hippo, hyena, wildebeest, baboon, crocodile, zebra, giraffe and jackal. The nature and wildlife in the national parks is spectacular.
I highly recommend Suricata safaris for all the reasons above, they provide perfect services from start to the end. Despite arriving after midnight Daniel came to give us information about the tour starting the day after.
Thank you for everything !

AMAZING SAFARI EXPERIENCE!!! Definitely recommend Suricata!!!
5/5

We had an amazing safari and are incredibly grateful for the staff at Suricata Safaris.

From the start, they communicated with us the day before to arrange transport from JRO airport, which was there on time despite our flight running late. They welcomed us and offered from the start to help us retrieve a lost bag (they communicated with the airline to have it retrieved and had it delivered to our hotel, keeping us informed throughout). The transfer guide got us to the hotel safely and explained clearly the outline of the three days.

The hotel where we stayed was okay, serving it’s purpose! We left the next morning at 6:30am, where our guide got us comfortable from the start. The safari van was spacious and comfortable. It had outlets, extra seat cushions and refrigerated water bottles throughout the trip.

Our game drives were wonderful, allowing us to see the big 5, and tons of other animals. Our guide (Benson) communicated efficiently over the radio to find animals to show us. He answered our questions with ease allowing us to get the full safari experience. When we wanted to stop to see some animals, he did most of the time without hesitation.

The food on safari was unexpectedly delicious. Our chef (Samson!) made a mix of Tanzanian food but also global foods, allowing for even the pickiest eaters to have something they enjoy. The food was savory and in abundance. They fed us from breakfast at the hotel to lunch on the first day to lunch on the last day.

At the end of the safari, they organized transport to hotels/airports (or both!), making us feel safe throughout the experience.

Thank you Suricata Safaris for an amazing experience!!!

The only things that we think could have improved is to:
1. Communicate a few weeks before with reminders what to bring [binoculars, toilet paper, a towel (one campsite had a shower), and warm clothes for the night in Ngorongoro]
2. Share via email beforehand a more detailed schedule for how safari will go [the info they gave on the drive to the hotel]
3.Maybe carry a few extra clothes in case bags are lost [seems frequent with airlines here, stores aren’t open when we leave for safari]
4. Making note a bit more clearly that credit card payments have a 5% surcharge, so people can plan on bringing cash if they prefer not to pay this surcharge.

These are small details but could take this from a 5 star experience to a 6 star one! If you’re between tent camping and a lodge experience— we would do tent camping again and again! We had zebras and even an elephant walking through our campsites during our stay— it was truly surreal— we are thankful for that kind of accessibility and experience at the price point! If you don’t have much time, we think a 3-day safari was also the perfect length, since it is a lot of driving and we got to see most of the animals we wanted to the first and second days, and the third day was mainly revisiting ones we’d already had the chance to see (in a different, and very beautiful landscape).
