Superb experience, professional organisation
With Shanjoy Tours and Safaris everything went super smoothly both in planning and in actual tour. We were in direct contact with Patrick, who helped us a lot to plan the safari tour (replies to our emails were nearly instant), and as well he was very assisting when we already arrived to Kenya. The safari tour itself was organised really professionally. We did not need to think of anything as all the aspects were already settled. We've been taken care in the best possible way. Couldn't imagine a better experience. We are very happy that we've chosen Shanjoy Tours and Safaris for our travel and highly recommended this reliable company for others too.

EXCELLENT DRIVER GUIDE, AND CUSTOMER FRIENDLY
Good communication skills, High class tour guide, I went with Shanjoy to Nairobi National Park and the experience was fantastic, excellent tour guide, I was also astonished be the way He knew almost all the creatures in the park by name.

Knowledgeable and responsible
Reliable company with really knowledgeable, friendly and helpful guides! It was our first safari in Kenya and Tanzania, and we had the best time. In Kenya, Rio was our driver and he was amazing. He was very clear in communicating daily itinerary with us, super knowledgeable about the animals, and always very helpful when we need any help. Super punctual at agreed times, and always making sure we get to see as many animals as possible. We collected the Big 5 just in the first 2 days of the tour! In Tanzania, Ely was our driver. He was energetic and thoughtful. He really vibed with my husband and made the trip really lighthearted and fun. With both drivers, we saw a lot of close up intimate moments of the animals. Their English was very good so there was nothing lost to translation. Apparently Rio even speaks Spanish and German! We had Arthurman as our driver for 2 hours when we were travelling to the Tanzanian border - he even gave us a short guide on the way! When we had any questions, Martin was always there to give an answer. Overall, we highly recommend shanjoy! The guides and drivers were more than amazing, and we can’t fault the company for anything!

Excellent Experience Beginning to End
Our experience with Shanjoy for a private 12-day tour across Kenya and Tanzania was excellent beginning to end.
Communication was always clear, reliable, and prompt from the initial quote email through to booking through to actually being on safari. I really appreciated during the initial booking phase that Shanjoy gave me time and space to consider the options and never made me feel pressured. When I asked for changes to the itinerary, they were done quickly and accurately. The lodges that Shanjoy selected were great — good food, great service, clean and comfortable rooms, and excellent locations inside the parks. Shout out to Rodah for all of her support.
On safari, our driver in Kenya was Patrick. Patrick was fantastic. He was a perfect mix of informative when we asked questions, but also let us have space so we never felt awkward and pressured to maintain a conversation. He is a very genuine and nice person so conversations with him were very natural. He is a very competent driver and a good wild life spotter with over 20 years of experience. I also appreciated that he was respectful of the animals while getting you close up viewings. The vehicle was clean, comfortable, and reliable. No major breakdowns (and the one minor breakdown Patrick had fixed in 10 mins).
Transferring vehicles at the border of Kenya-Tanzania was smooth. Eric was our driver in Tanzania (Mama Savanna is Shanjoy’s partner company). Eric was a top notch wildlife spotter and a great driver. Again, the vehicle was clean, comfortable, and we had no issues or breakdowns.
Overall, I highly recommend Shanjoy. Next time we are back, we’ll be booking again with them.

A Seamless and Unforgettable Experience
I recently had the pleasure of booking a 4-day safari through Shanjoy Tours and Safaris, and I can confidently say it was one of the most well-organized and memorable travel experiences I've ever had.
Before the trip, Beth, the contact person, was highly responsive and informative. She tailored the itinerary to match my interests, answered every question thoroughly, and provided clear instructions on what to expect and bring. Her attention to detail gave me great confidence even before I set foot in Africa.
The vehicle, a Land Cruiser, was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for game drives. Lodging choice, Sopa Lodge, had excellent service, delicious meals, and beautiful settings that immersed me in the natural surroundings.
With my guide, Steve, I established a good relationship from the beginning, as he is a very friendly and talkative person, knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about wildlife and conservation.
What stood out most was the seamless coordination behind the scenes. It allowed me to relax and fully enjoy the adventure without worrying about logistics. From start to finish, everything was executed with precision, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.

Absolutely brilliant tour operator, big enough to cope, small enough to care.
Patrick and his team were brilliant throughout and worked tirelessly to make sure we had a great time. We had lots of little things we needed to change and they accommodated every one of them as we went with a real personalised service. Our Kenyan guide Joseph was fantastic, with over 20 years of experience, he knew the parks backwards which made a real difference to having a great safari.
We had a week visiting Kenya and Tanzania and were delighted with the service, care and expertise. The guides and Patrick were always on time, fully reliable and were great companions on our trip. Even when we hit a few car problems from the roads, they were able to resolve them in record time and keep things moving.
Couldn't be happier with Shanjoy tours and would definitely thoroughly recommend them for their knowledge, service, trustworthiness and flexibility.
