Reliable, personal and flexible: Soles turns every safari into an unforgettable experiencE
From the Serengeti to the Stars — An Unforgettable Safari
Our Tanzanian safari with Soles Tours was an extraordinary experience, not only because of the places and wildlife we encountered, but above all because of the people who made us experience them in the best possible way.
From our very first email, Joachim was always there: kind, professional, precise and incredibly responsive. He understood our wishes very quickly and helped us shape a truly personalized journey, always adapting the programme to our requests with impressive flexibility. His support continued throughout the trip, right up to the wonderful surprise of finding him waiting for us at the airport in Zanzibar to say goodbye. That level of personal attention is something we will remember.
And then there was Silas, an exceptional guide in every sense. Discreet, friendly, patient and extremely knowledgeable, he has a unique ability to make you understand Tanzania rather than simply see it. He doesn’t just point out an animal: he tells you its story, explains its character, behaviour and social relationships, and makes you appreciate what is happening in front of you.
Some of our most unforgettable moments were watching a lioness hunting, an elephant nursing its calf, a lion on his honeymoon with lionesses, a lunch under an acacia tree in the middle of nowhere in savana and a tiny buffalo calf that the whole herd patiently waited for. These were not simply sightings: Silas’ experience and sensitivity allowed us to understand what we were witnessing and made each scene much more meaningful.
His knowledge of the Serengeti was also fundamental in allowing us to experience the Great Migration and the river crossing at their best. And seeing both a white rhinoceros and a black rhinoceros was another extraordinary highlight. His ability to read the landscape, anticipate animal behaviour and position the vehicle safely and respectfully made an enormous difference.
Silas was equally impressive behind the wheel: calm, safe and extremely confident on Tanzania’s roads and tracks, including some very demanding stretches. We always felt completely in safe hands.
One of the experiences we loved most was actually very different from the classic safari: the cultural tour of Mto wa Mbu by bicycle, organized by Soles. Riding through the village with Pascal and his wonderfully sweet colleague gave us genuine human contact and the opportunity to meet Tanzania beyond the wildlife and landscapes. It was probably the experience that best represented what we came to love about this country: the people.
The lodges were another highlight — beautifully chosen and often spectacular. Sleeping under the African sky, seeing the Milky Way in all its glory, and then hearing the roar of a lion during the night are among the memories we will carry with us forever.
What impressed us most about Soles was the combination of absolute reliability and genuine human warmth. Every part of the programme was punctual, precise and well organized, yet nothing ever felt rigid. They were always ready to listen, adapt and personalize the journey according to our needs.
After travelling extensively and having experienced many different trips, we can honestly say that Soles Tours gave us much more than a safari. They gave us the opportunity to experience Tanzania through its landscapes, its wildlife and, above all, its people.
A special thank you to Joachim and Silas. You made our journey truly unforgettable.

Fantastic Game Drive
Fantastic Game Drive
Our 4-night safari with Kenedy was an unforgettable experience. He is an exceptional guide who made every game drive exciting and rewarding. Thanks to his incredible knowledge, sharp eye, and experience, we were able to spot an amazing variety of wildlife in Tanzania's most beautiful national parks. He always knew where to go to maximize our chances of seeing animals and took the time to explain their behavior, as well as the history and nature of each park. We learned so much while having an incredible time. Kenedy was professional, friendly, patient, and passionate about his work, making our safari even more special. We couldn't have asked for a better guide and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an authentic and unforgettable safari experience in Tanzania. Thank you, Kenedy, for the amazing memories!

Perfect Choice
Five stars do not do this experience justice, as there should be many more. We had an unforgettable, perfect, and once-in-a-lifetime trip. We compared many offers before the trip and decided on Safari Soles, partly because of the price compared to other providers. It was the best decision ever. Patrick planned our trip, and he was super fast, accommodating, and implemented all wishes or adjustments immediately. Even after the final booking, he was always available for questions. We ultimately did a private 6-day safari with a subsequent stay on Zanzibar. Right at the airport, we were warmly welcomed by Killian, who already shared a lot of information with us on the drive to Arusha, including a photo stop in front of Kilimanjaro. The planned route was perfect and the booked camps were a dream. We especially recommend Mbuni Tented Camp and Mbuni Migration Camp. We expected to make compromises due to the lower price compared to other providers, but the opposite was true. Everything was super upscale. For example, we had warm food for lunch in reusable boxes including coffee, instead of lunchboxes that produce a lot of waste. The equipment in the jeep was top-notch, and the food even more so.The biggest thanks go to our guide Dickson, who made the trip an absolute dream. Even though animal sightings always involve some luck, I am convinced they also have to do with the right timing, which was always spot-on for us thanks to Dickson. He had great expertise, explained many details to us, was super nice and funny, and always had the right intuition of when to start and exactly where to drive. Thanks to him, we not only saw the Big Five, but so many lions that you could hardly count them, watched cheetahs hunting, and also witnessed a river crossing. Even when other cars were there, he always put us in a position where we could observe and take great photos very well. We had a lot of fun with him all week and learned a lot. If anyone is still choosing a provider like we were before (maybe also from Germany, Dickson also speaks German), we can only recommend Safari Soles as a local agency based on-site.

Amazing safari experience with Calvin and Jonathan!!!
Absolutely amazing experience with Safari Soles! From the moment we were picked up until our airport drop-off, every aspect of the trip exceeded our expectations.
Our guides, Calvin and Jonathan, were exceptional. Their knowledge, experience, and passion for wildlife made every game drive memorable. They took great care of us throughout the journey, always ensuring we had the best possible views while maintaining a respectful distance from the animals. Their commitment to both our safety and the well-being of the wildlife was truly impressive.
This was undoubtedly one of the best trips of our lifetime. We cannot recommend Safari Soles highly enough and are incredibly grateful to Calvin and Jonathan for making it such a special and unforgettable experience.

Best Safari experience I could have imagined
We did an 4-day Safari with Safari Soles and our amazing Guide Dickson. 2 (half) days Tarangire national park, 2 days central Serengeti and 1 day in Ngorongoro Crater. It was the best Safari experience I could have imagined. Our guide showed us so many amazing animals, stopped individually for everything we wanted to see, had an incredible knowledge, very good language skills in English and German and a good eye for the best pictures. The whole trip and the planning process via the office in advance was very individual, friendly and reliable. We stayed in really nice and comfortable camps, and were always provided with very good, freshly cooked food from the camps for lunch and cold beverages on the Jeep.
I definitely would to a Safari with Safari soles again.

Reliable - Had a great trip from planning to airport drop off
SAFARI SOLES made planning and travel super easy setting appropriate expectations so we knew exactly what to expect. Christina was very good in the planning stages, explaining minute details including help with packing. They were flexible to accommodate our preferences. The pricing structure was clear, we knew exactly what was included, what to buy, etc. The details on the ground were exactly as expected and the food, accommodation, showers, etc were perfectly suitable and sufficient.
Simon was our driver, guide and friend during the safari. His knowledge, driving, planning were all excellent and put us in the best position to be able to see the amazing animals in their habitat. Due to Simon’s experience, patience, brilliant eyesight, we were able to see the Big 5, the Ugly 5, the wildebeest crossing, and many, many more interesting animals and birds. Simon knows the whole area like the back of his hand (his father was a park ranger too) and he also seems to know everybody, so he was able to tweak our plans based on what we had already seen, what we were keen to see, etc.
Safari Soles is a locally owned company which is environmentally conscious and supports the local community, which is all the more reason to go with them. We would highly recommend SAFARI SOLES and especially SIMON for your next adventure across Tanzania.

Great Safari with Simon and Godfrey
Amazing 8 days on safari with Safari Soles in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. The parks themselves are incredible, but what made them even better was our excellent guide Simon and chef Godfrey. Simon was extremely professional, knowledgeable, a great driver and always went the extra mile to make sure we were satisfied and comfortable. Simon listened attentively to what we wanted to see at the start of the trip and did his best to deliver on this.
As we were camping for most of the trip we had a private chef, Godfrey, who prepared the most delicious gourmet dishes for us, having 3 hot meals a day (with at least 3-4 dishes each time) was truly incredible - other groups often looked over to our table in envy! The camping experience was great, with clean and spacious equipment provided and everything taken care of for us. The Jeep was comfortable, cleaned everyday and had a fridge and power outlets to charge our phones and cameras (much needed given the thousands of pictures we took). Beatrice our sales consultant was great, providing valuable advice and answering our many questions and accommodating our many itinerary changes up to the last minute. There was a small hiccup with the itinerary on one of the days, however the company took responsibility and rectified the issue to our satisfaction.
All in all, a fantastic experience and I would recommend booking with Safari Soles (and asking for Simon as guide and Godfrey as chef).
