The tour operator was professional and delivered on the key aspects of of our itinerary
We booked a 6 day safari and had a great trip. The operator was flexible with our choice of accommodation and allowed some modifications. Laurence was a great driver and always put our priorities first. Minor downside would be the lack of organisation and different accommodations between the travelers in the vehicle. We felt we lost a lot of time figuring out who was going where and driving to different lodges every day.

Lorenz was a knowledgeable and reliable operator who ensured the Serengeti tour ran smoothly.
I recently traveled with Go Serengeti African Tours and overall had an average experience. The itinerary was well-structured, and transportation was reliable, allowing us to see many highlights of the Serengeti. However, the food provided during the tour was often served cold, which took away from the overall comfort of the experience. While the essentials of the trip were delivered, there is room for improvement in both customer care and attention to detail, particularly with meals and hospitality.

Very disponible to answer to your questions and exceptional driver
We had a wonderful 6-day trip with Serengeti Africa Tours.
- Positive
Linah, the contact person, was extremely available and answered our hundreds of questions on WhatsApp quickly and efficiently.
Our driver Matchete was exceptional. Very skilled, very passionate, and incredibly knowledgeable about the animals. He was always smiling and pleasant.
Visiting different parks was an outstanding experience.
- Negative
The food was good but a bit repetitive.
The preparation of the packed lunches in the morning was always delayed by 30 minutes to 1 hour, which made us feel like we were leaving for safari later than others.
In August, there are huge crowds. You are never alone—always dozens of jeeps around. At lunchtime, you have to “fight” with other agencies to get a table or chair in the picnic areas.
Nyani Public Campsite in the Serengeti was the worst campsite we’ve stayed at in 4 months of traveling through Africa: dirty toilets and showers, too much loud music and partying (those people shouldn’t be there), overcrowded, and in the evening you have to queue to use the toilets or showers.
The road to the Serengeti is chaotic, with 3 hours of rough driving each way. Because of that many car were stop on the way because of car issue. And us as well we lost 3h in all trip because of car issue due to very bad road.
- Ecological concerns
Too many plastic bottles. Almost all tourists carry reusable bottles, so agencies should find a better solution.
Lots of litter around the parking and cooking areas in the campsites.
Eating with real plates, cutlery, and glasses instead of plastic is a very good practice.

Affordable and beautiful experience
It probably is not the most luxurious safari... but you will have the whole experience

Helpful
All in all I had a great experience and there were no big problems. Especially the staff from Serengeti African Tours was extremely helpful and quick to help.
Since when I went there there were not enough people for my safari we were mixed with people who booked from other companies. We were sent with suricata. the cooks were really nice and the food was great.
My one problem was the guide who didn't ask at all what we wanted to see and he didn't talk much. I would've loved if he asked what we wanted to see to actually show us and avoid staying with animals we had already seen very often for 15 minutes.
I would've also liked him to explain more, because he was kinda quiet and not as knowledgeable as I would've hoped. The other people thought he talked enough but I really wanted to gain new insights and new information, which I only sometimes got when explicitly asking specific questions.

Amazing!
Dixon was an amazing guide, he was very knowledgeable. We managed to see the big 5 even though we stayed for a short time.
The Serengeti lodge was a little cold however it was well equipped and nice overall.
The mountain lodge we stayed in was amazing! We really enjoyed this. Food was nice but would have preferred more options for lunch.

Knowledgeable
We went on a group safari with 14 people for 3 days and 2 nights and it was very nice. Food was included, and the driver always made sure that we saw the best pov of the animals. In these 3 days we saw 4 of the Big 5. The food was amazing and the drivers very kind. I really recommend this your because they go above and beyond to give you the best experience.

Professional and well organised
A well run safari, with experienced tour guides. The communication was excellent on WhatsApp. The food was really well prepared. Overall I was happy with my safari experience with Serengeti African Tour.
The 3 day Serengeti and Ngorongoro Safari is a good introduction to Safari, but note that can feel a bit rushed, especially in the Serengeti, which is enormous, if you are trying to find specific animals that are hard to find. If you want a full Safari experience and better chance to see all the animals, go for a 5-7 day Safari at least, when the Safari guides can spend longer and drive further into the park. Nevertheless I had a great time and our guides were really knowledgeable. I would also reconsider going for the upgrade to mid-tier/luxury accomodation if you are doing camping and are able to handle camping, as may not be the best value for money. This is only because the time you spend at the lodge is so short, not because of the quality of the mid-tier accomodation, which was really excellent.
Unforseen expenditures with your tour guide
Great exploring with your tour guide. He was amazing and humours. Takes you to an astonishing experience ever in your life. You can see various of wild life such as lions, elephants , giraffes, rhinos, hippos, eagles and so on.
When it comes to sleeping and staing in accommodation and tent, a lodge was a bit hot, no AC but there is fan. Tents are enough big for two people but a bit tight for three adults.
Last but not least, food and drinks are generally good and authentic african food every evening during touring. For breakfast, you can enjoy with some coffee and nice pancake, eggs, breads, and some sausages. But do not expect lunch 😅 lunch is same all the time and chicken was overcooked and a bit rough.
Overall, I would like to recommend you to come this tour for chasing new experiences!

Would recommend!
Great value for money. Even though we booked a budget safari, it didn't feel like that at all. We had great guides, everyone was super friendly and helpful. We got to see all the animals and the beautiful nature. We definitely enjoyed the campsites in Serengeti and Ngorongoro.
Only feedback we have: on a few occasions, we started our game drive 30-45 minutes later than planned. We didn't really know why, so it would have been nice to be informed of why we were delayed.
