Simply Stunning Serengeti Safari!
5/5

The trip was brilliantly organised by Alym and clearly communicated at all times in the lead up to the trip. He provided good advice on the itinerary and how long to stay in each location etc, providing a balance of accommodations to perfectly suit our request and requirements. He even "arranged" for 3 leopard sightings, not to mention an unforgettable lion pride with cubs on simba rocks.
Our guide, Frank, was faultless and must be credited for his animal sightings (spotted a rhino with his bare eyes at about a kilometre distance!), manners and all round performance.
The overall safari and trip to Zanzibar was pretty much faultless and we would definitely recommend East Africa Wild to others - if we go again we will be specifically requesting Frank as our guide.

Paid for the budget safari and I got it
4/5

THe difference between a budget safari and a costlier one is in the accommodations, food offered. and transportation method. Low budget offers tents, same meals every day, and hard road time. On the highest end, you fly into the parks and avoid the "african massage" from the potholes in the road. HOwever where you end up going, is exactly the same spot.

I too my 73 year old mother on the budget safari. Joe was our driver and guide. He found all the beautiful creatures that made our safari amazing. My mom took to the African massage allot like everyone else in the tour van, what choice do you have? Our Route to masai mara was okay, not too long, but the second leg to Lake Nakuru was a long drive day. Flamingoes are no longer at Nakuru and migrate someplace else now. Lake Nakuru to Amboseli was a very long day. In retrospect I'd add an extrs day and spend it near Nairobi, then finish the drive to amboseli the next day.

I'm vegan and found enough to be filled. The point of a budget safari is to see the animals, we achieved that, the simple food, tents, colder showers, and bumpy roads are all part of the low cost. I can endure all that, but make sure the drive time each day is acceptable when planning. I blew it in that department.

BTW: everyone says I brought back the most amazing pictures. Over time , you forget the bumpy road time and remember the highlights.

Perfect introduction to Kenya
5/5

Me and my gf had an amazing time, saw all the big 5 and a lot more. Our guide Isaac was friendly and always happy to help.

the accommodation at the maasi mara fitted the experience perfectly and situated within walking distance of a Maasi camp, which was interested but as a warning if you visit the camp they will pressure you into buying things. But that's just the camp not Axis.

All in all the entire trip was amazing and was truly a highlight of our trip

Amazing 4 day safari!!
5/5

We booked a 4 day safari with shika tours and it was fantastic!
We got a lot of help with the booking and organisation and
everything went fast and easy. Our driver and guide was very
informed about the parks and the nature and could explain us
a lot. We travelled in a group of five together with three tourists
from Japan. On our tour through Tarangire, Ngorongoro and
Serengeti Nationalpark we have seen more animals than we
could ever have imagined!! We can just highly recommend this
safari tour! Thumbs up for shika tours :)

Caroline is a lovely lady that really stands for her safari's. She very easy to approach by mail or whatsapp. She is patient and honest. Also interested in how your trip was. We booked 3 trips and we can highly recommand it to everyone to let Caroline arrange your tours. Our driver/guide Lucky is a fantastic animal spotter. He is funny and he knows all kind of facts.
Thanks again Caroline and Lucky.

Very responsive service
5/5

I used East Africa Shuttles and Safaris services for a quick tour to Amboseli after doing the Kilimanjaro climb. They custom made the itinerary to my needs and I needed to do some changes after initial booking and they responded very quickly. The hotel, Amboseli Kibo camp was excellent and didn't have any trouble in the transport connections (Moshi to Arusha to Namanga to Amboseli). I would recommend East Africa Shuttles to anyone.

Good value for money
4/5

This trip was just great! The communication prior the safari was effortless and easy. The transport was on time, comfortable and very convenient. The accommodation and food were simple, but very nice. I will say that for this cost, we were impressed. I recommend!

Seven days experiencing Murchision falls, Queen Elizabeth NP and Bwindi impenetrable NP
5/5

My boyfriend and I are just back from our trip and without a doubt Gorilla Mist Safaris, services and knowledge of Uganda made our trip the best we've ever had. When booking the trip we had a list criteria/places that we wanted to visit and Gorilla Mist Safari's staff really listened to our needs/expectations then translated that into a perfect itinerary. Things like travel items, lodging quality, timing of game drives were carefully thought through and our on the ground experience was just fun and fantastic. Our vehicle was a 4x4 LandCruser with a pop top - very comfortable, reliable, and clean.

What we really liked is that we had one local guide who was experienced in interpretations the entire trip and this helped us to understand these parks perfectly well. And He was so much more than our guide but also our tour coordinator, and game expert. It was great to have such a proud Ugandan show us his country. He could tell us far more than many of the park rangers about the wildlife. Without hesitation I can highly recommend Gorilla Mist Safaris.

Also for those of you who are on the fence about Uganda due to safety concerns - do not worry. Never at any point during the trip did we feel unsafe. While in towns we walked around freely during the day and night and the parks were well protected.
