Excellent tour with fantastic guide
5/5

Our 2-night/3-day tour of East and West Tsavo was very easy to organise through Netherken. They provided us with a detailed itinerary before we arrived in Kenya and answered all our questions in good time.
Early morning pick-up on day 1, drive to Tsavo West with a short stop for coffee. Drive through Tsavo West ( lots of bird/animal spotting en route) to get to Ngulia Lodge which is situated up high with amazing panoramic views of the rhino sanctuary below. The food was great and in the evening we saw elephants on the grounds and a leopard chomping on a hunk of meat.
Day 2, early start to get to Tsavo East which is very different from Tsavo West in terms of the terrain. Beautiful savannah with plenty of wildlife to spot on the way to Voi Lodge which has some of the most stunning views I've ever seen. In the evening we went to find a lion which was basking under the shade of a tree. The food was great at Voi lodge also.
Day 3 we were less lucky spotting animals as it seemed very quiet all around, so we headed back to Mombasa with a nice lunch stop en route.
Our guide, Mahmoud, was one of the loveliest people. Very knowledgeable with 17 years experience under his belt. We were very lucky to have him as our guide. He is also an excellent driver.
Thank you Mahmoud and Netherken for offering us an experience we'll never forget.

Amazing Safari Trip
5/5

My wife, 7 yr old son and I just returned from a 7 day Halal safari in Tanzania and what an amazing experience! We opted for Wild Secrets Safari for their Halal offering, rave reviews and reasonable cost not forgetting Rashid our contact who was very professional in his communication. Our trip with guide Musa was wonderful. He was attentive and caring as he drove my small family to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. We did see the big 5 and many other animals. Serengeti and Ngorongoro crater are a must visit for all going to Tanzania as they have a wonderful mix of animals and beautiful landscapes. Rashid organized our stay in lodges that observe Halal practice while offering excellent service. We had an excellent time in Tanzania thanks to Wild Secret Safaris who know how deliver perfectly.

Outstanding
5/5

This was an excellent Safari with a professional guide who gave 100%! The organizer was able to customize our trip allowing for visits to a Bushman tribe and Masai villages. The wildlife we saw was abundant and amazing. Our guide was knowledgeable and skilled at finding animals, especially lions at dusk. This was the best safari/trip ever! I highly recommend Serval Cat Tours.

The Best in the Business
5/5

I started with a quote request over the email, compared the alternative service providers and I found that between the 3 that I had shortlisted, Millicent Aluku of Right Choice was communicating everything with ease and a lot of patience.. and I had many small and minute queries... she prepare the itinerary in consultation with me and the number of days i wanted to do safari and she also had part solutions for a holiday leg for which I did not end up booking a hotel with them (which I should have done as they know best). 5 stars to Millicent for all her hard work, she is the best at her job!

I had specifically asked for an experienced and patient guide as I was touring with family, (3 generations - grandad,grandmom-son- grandson) and it was our good fortune that Ken was available to take us on our safari. Just like Millicent, I would give 5 stars for Ken as he fulfilled our sighting wishlist in toto and worked hard for all of the 4+ days that we were with him.. the vehicle was clean every morning, he was always ready on time, he made the effort to find out where the animals were on the day, placing his vehicle at the best picture taking spot and was driving his landcruiser smoothly on the highway.. Ken is reliable, friendly, helpful and knows his work and his vehicle very well. You can make no mistake with Ken by your side...

A couple of tips from my perspective: one should always opt for the landcruiser vehicle during safari and if given an option definitely stay for a minimum of 2 nights at Sopa Lodge, Lake Naivasha, its a beautiful property and 1 day is just too short as you merely touch and go onroute to Nairobi.. Hells Gate may be a small park but its a slice of paradise just like all the other natural abodes that Kenya has.
with Right Choice you cant go wrong,

Thank you Ken, Millicent and George

Great nature experience marred by unprofessional company
2/5

An amazing trip that was soured by, Doreen Kesiime, the owner. I was willing to overlook some of the more annoying/disappointing things.Like being harassed on a daily basis for proof of payment. I made a late booking-10 days b4 travel- on a Friday evening before a long weekend and informed Doreen the bank would therefore authorise the transaction on Tuesday. Despite this I received multiple messages on a daily basis during the weekend requesting proof of payment, repeatedly informing me about difficulties obtaining permits last minute, etc, all of which we were both aware of!

On arrival in Entebbe, Doreen was picked up joined the tour for the full duration. I was therefore expecting everything to go according to plan.Between her fielding numerous personal and work calls during game drives and walks in conservation areas, littering in conservation areas, making several inappropriate remarks( eg how she would report homosexuals to the police and going into graphic detail why she found anal sex disgusting, commenting that my preference for coffee made " a woman dry down there"), I decided her presence did not add value to the experience. Changes were made to the itinerary without discussing it or informing me- I did the Gorilla trek form a different location( only informed on arrival to Bwindi), only 2 of the 5 accommodations on my itinerary were booked( one was changed due to tracking from a different location).

Again, because I truly enjoyed the activities thus far on the tour( Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale, Queen Elizabeth National park, Batwa People community walk, Gorilla Tracking) I didn't make too much of a fuss.

The last straw however was being taken to an inferior accommodation then the one in the itinerary at Lake Bunyoni. This was the afternoon following the gorilla tracking when I was looking forward to a decent shower and bed to sleep in( not always possible at the other accommodations booked- at one lodge the drain was blocked and flooded the entire room)) What was infuriating was that this was the only stipulation I had made prior to commencing the tour when I picked up that the itinerary hotel did not match the website hotel. After the Bwindi changes , I was assured that the hotels booked henceforth were correct. A 3 hr standoff ensued with Doreen initially stating that the resort name didn't exist and was an error on her website( this despite seeing her view it on booking.com at dinner the night before!). She tried to convince me that we were at the correct place( the names were similar) When shown their website and availability, she continued to try and coerce me into staying there.Various reasons for the incorrect booking and not being able to book me into the original hotel were then given: a late booking, reading the name incorrectly, no funds available, the manager refusing to refund her, etc.I even offered to pay for the booking and she refund me in Kampala, which she refused. Out of frustration I requested to cancel the rest of the tour and be taken back to Kampala that evening. She eventually relented and I was taken to the hotel on my booking. It was unfortunate that a refund of approx $40 spoilt what was supposed to have been an extraordinary day. Or that I had to waste precious time to get the 3rd of the 5 accommodations I had paid for.

The positives remain the natural beauty of Uganda and the efforts and knowledge of the tour guide and driver, Nelson.
