We were defrauded over $6000 US Dollars
We and another couple booked a custom safari package with Safari Lift Africa through Calvin, the owner of the company. Mr Gibson did not apply our last payment to many of the services described in our safari package and we were required to pay again in order to continue with the safari.
More specifically, after we arrived, we learned that Mr Gibson had not paid for our booking at Pom Pom Lodge; our flights to and from Pom Pom on Mack Air; airport transport at Dar es Salaam airport; park entry and concession fees to Victoria Falls, Ngorongoro Crater, and Serengeti Parks; transport from Arusha to Mosha (a 2 hour drive); a hot air balloon ride in the Serengeti, a Masai experience, a Materuni waterfall tour at Kilimanjaro and a Mto Wa Mbu cooking class; and another meal that should have been paid for as part of the package. In addition, the safari vehicle used in Tanzania was rented by Mr Gibson and the vehicle owner had not been paid so we had to pay that rental fee as well as gas in order to continue with the safari. All were promised as part of our safari package.
We made repeated inquiries to Mr. Gibson as did our Tanzanian guide who also did not get paid. As a result, we paid the guide on our departure from the Serengeti to make up for his lost salary since he had done the best he could in a very difficult situation.
Overall each couple paid $6286.55 US dollars for these unpaid services. Interestingly, Mr Gibson promised to “pay us back” (while claiming his company is in bankruptcy). We have never received a dime of reimbursement from Mr. Gibson. As you can imagine, to be left high and dry in the middle of Africa was incredibly stressful. Mr. Gibson’s fraudulent actions ruined what should have been a once on a lifetime experience. We later learned that we were not the first to be defrauded. We talked to someone else who had lost over $5000 on his safari from this company. There are many reputable operators that run wonderful African safaris. Do yourself a favor and use one of them.

The dream trip. David the driver is the best person we have met, very attentive at all times.
The tour itself is a little long, we spent 7 days we saw all kinds of animals, even the big five, the facilities are normal without frills and the meals are scarce, there is little variety. I'll stay with the experience lived.

I don’t typically leave reviews but Lulu Safaris we’re incredible from
Beginning to end.
My guide, Sam, was genuinely one of the nicest humans I’ve met, and everything I’d mentioned wanting to do he accommodated. We jammed out to Bob Marley, saw every imaginable animal, ate some amazing food, and he even helped me live some dreams I’d had since a kid. We even changed my itinerary at the end of the trip since I was having so much fun and he ended up taking me to a new location and essentially driving me all the way from Kigali to Kampala.
Elvis was kind enough to meet me at the drop off point to ask how everything went, and I genuinely wish I had better words to explain how fantastic the entire trip was.
Sam and I will be in touch for future adventures and I can’t recommend this company highly enough. Again, words fail at how wonderful this experience was, but if you are teetering between companies Lulu Safaris and specifically Sam are the way to go. Hope your next adventure is a great one!!

Albert is very knowledgeable about the terrains and animals in Maasai Mara.
This was my first time traveling to Kenya. I booked a 4-day Safari experience to Maasai Mara and Lake Nakuru. Overall, I had a great experience with my tour guide Albert, my fellow travelers from all over the world (including Kenyan locals) and all the sightseeings we did together.

Excellent service and taking care a lot about the needs,wants and request of their guest.
100 % highly recommended this company. I availed a budget type tour package but I must say that all the services,food,accomodation,tour,guide/driver are great and worth it. Fiona and team quickly respond to all my quiries and she make sure everything will become smooth and convenient.Despite of some issues with transportation,still their team manage to arrange it well with alternative solutions. Our driver/guide KIKITU is superb and knowledgable in telling stories and facts about safaris and he knows how to handle well the tour. The price that I paid is worth it and I didnt feel that I spend budget type tour coz I feel luxurious the way Kenyan people treat me. They are welcoming and hospitable with genuine smile as always. Such an excellent experience with worthy price and priceless memories.I will definitely comeback and I'll make sure I will choose again this company☺️

Wonderful Solo Safari
I had a wonderful time with Hadzabe Safaris! Most important for me was feeling safe as a solo female traveler and Hadzabe Safaris did a great job. I also got pretty lucky as I had signed up for a 3-day group tour plus 1 day at the waterfalls/coffee experience (highly recommend!) but, because it was low season, I ended up with a few days of a private tour. Since I've experienced both I can highly recommend the private tour. I learned more after 15 minutes with Joshua, my private guide, then the entire day on the group tour. For group tours they (reasonably so) have to accommodate for so many people whereas for private tours you are able to ask all your questions, make quick side stops, and decide what you'd like to see. Joshua is kind, professional, funny, and wildly knowledgeable about pretty much everything. He loves his job and really goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and ensure you have a great time. Thank you to him and the Hadzabe Safaris team!
