The safari tour with Ben was absolutely wonderful. He is an excellent driver, navigating the rough roads safely. Even when issues arose, he handled them skillfully and provided alternative solutions. Thanks to him, we were able to see so many animals. We are truly grateful.

We chose Lion King adventures for our honeymoon safari based on the great reviews. The safari tour was well organised, the included accommodation were to a high standard, their communication was prompt and friendly.

Our tour guide Shafino was incredibly knowledgeable, a skilled driver and took the time to explain alot of interesting information. He and the company provided a great service

Experience of a lifetime

We had an amazing 7-day safari with Bashir - the map of serengeti - as he knows ALL the roads by heart and never checked a map or gps (mindblowing). He was very knowledgeable and experienced, and happy to answer all the questions we had.
Thanks to his work, we managed to see two rare events, such as cheetahs with cubs eating a thompson gazzelle and lioness with cubs eating an eland, on the same afternoon in eastern Serengeti!
In every accomodation we stayed, every single person was nice to us and really made their best to make our holiday smooth and enjoyable.
On the first actual safari day (the first day is for arrival and preparation), we explored the Tarangire National park, where we had the chance to see zeebras, impalas, vervet monkeys, warthogs and of course two big herds of elephants drinking water in a river and a lake.
On the second day, we travelled to Serengeti National park and had our best game drive in the eastern part, where we saw a lot of cats (lions and cheetahs), all types of gazelles, buffalos, elephants, secretary birds, jackals and the two rare events I mentioned above.
On the third day we visited the central and northern part of the park, with the main highlights being the wildebeest and zeebra migration, a group of elephants at short distance, hippos, a few crocodiles and baboons.
On the forth day we had a last game drive in serengeti in the morning, when we saw a lions crossing our road and joining a big group of other lions (not too far from our accomodation), vultures eating a wildebeest and giraffes, before heading to our next accomodation in the ngorongoro crater rim.
The following morning we drove down to the crater, which has breathtaking views, where we saw flamingos in the lake, crane birds, a serval cat (very rare to spot), a few lions (including an old lion walking right next to our car), an old hyena, elephants, wildebeest, zeebras, buffalos, and were we able to spot a black rhino, but unfortunately it was quite far away and we didn't manage to take a good look at it.
On the last day we visited the very interesting village of Materuni and we did a small but challenging hike to the waterfalls, where we saw coffee, banana and potato trees along the way. In the village we also had a demonstration of how coffee is made (tour highly recommended) from bean to cup and we tasted some coffee produced at the moment.
We had a very tasty local lunch in the village and we headed to our last stop to swim in the hot springs pools before saying goodbye to Bashir and flying to Zanzibar.
