An absolute dream of an experience
5/5

I would like to say that the tour we had booked was an amazing experience, one we will treasure for a lifetime! The tour which you had been tailored for us was excellent and, our guide in Victor was excellent (as was his friend Jack). They were superb, so attentive, so informative and made our experience so very memorable.

The park in Amboseli was amazing and the accommodation excellent. We really couldn’t have wished for anything more!

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and, extend our gratitude for all who helped organise our trip. If anybody is looking for a safari, we would definitely recommend MorningStar to anybody who is thinking of going on safari, a really great experience and first class experience!

They take their clients serious.
5/5

This will be an extensive review as our experience with mountain warriors has been with varying success. However, we would recommend them, as despite some things not working out the way planned, they did everything possible to correct what went wrong and saved our safari due to the extra efforts done. I think this shows that they take their clients and their feedback serious and has them put their priorities right.

Booking process was good, the agent has been responsive and helpful. After confirming and making a down payment communication stayed good untill we arrived. We had 2 days in Arusha, where we planned to do some sightseeing tours. However the agent wanted to come by when we stayed at the hotel, to do a briefing and make the remaining payment (for which we preferred to do this with the termina, due to the lower charges).
The agent however on the first day changed the meeting time several times, to then cancel the appointment, so we waited for nothing at the hotel and lost a day in which we could go for a tour close to the city. This mend the next day we did not get the chance to do a tour, as she would pass by. That's why we planned to do things on our own instead as the tours left early morning. She however that day came 2.5 hours late, again keeping us at the hotel (we had even proposed to pass by your office to arrange the payment). This mend that 2 days in Arusha, we did not get further than the city centre. What wondered me even more, was that the other people of our tour paid when we gathered at your office for the tour. In regards to payment I find it a bit weird one is charged in dollar, and if you want to pay in the local currency you are converted from tbe dollar amount at buying tmrate, making you pay even more (but as we are not from the US, also dollar charge makes no sense).

The same night, pickup time was changed 3 times. As was the itinerary we booked changed last minute. We booked a tour from Arusha, starting at Tarangire, which would mean a few hours drive from Arusha, and then a full day safari plus in the evening already moving towards our next destination; Serengeti (via Ngorongoro). This would leave the next day to drive into Serengeti ik the morning, have the afternoon for game drive, sleep, have a morning game drive and move to Ngorongoro in the evening for the night and a day game drive the next day, leaving enough time to get back to Arusha.
Instead, we now spent a full day driving to the campsite, where (as we heard on the way) we had to be at 18.00. We left late, according to the driver, and therefore the was little to no time for game drive that afternoon. What makes it extra frustrating, is that for pickup at our hotel, the pickup was an hour late, and knowing we should be at the campsite by 18.00, they should have organised an earlier departire to allow the game drive time that was promised in the itenary.

The following day the game drive was perfect, only thing strange for us was that some people in our vehicle had a visit to a traditional village visit included already, and we rather had the option to wait in the car or join at paid expenses. This might be something that should be mentioned in the program prior, In stead of on the spot. Also, we have had 5 souvenir stops along the 4 day drive, all at places that felt like tourist traps (extremely high prices and specific tactics used to sell items)

The third day is where we had the main issues, the company promised a full day game drive, however as the drives had to bring some people in our group, who booked another package, back to Arusha, our tour was cut short by him after about 4 hours. With only 3 full days of game drive in the planning, having what feels like a second half day day taken was not what we where happy about. We however indicated this directly to the agency, and despite the fact that the day itself there was not much they could do but drop us at the hotel around 3, they did so a lot of extra effort making things right the next day. They arranged a seperate driver to come and pick us up, had a private tour (with the 3 from our group), could determine times and the way we spend time in the park at animals oyraelf, and had the best guide possible with Kefas Guiding us. He was passionate and very knowledgeable, on tim of that we where lucky with what we saw which also added to the experience. Furthermore upon arrival they agreed to their mistake and came with a partial compensation. As explained by them it was die to the high season and them having to work with external contractirs in stead of their own people, like Kefas who we had on the final day. Given how good the last day was (and assuming this is their standard), and the fact they take our complain serious and came with solutions, shows they take their work serious and want only the best. We think that it shows they are reliable and therefore deserve our recommendation. We do hope that will be more clear in their communication. How shared tours are out together, as well as the entrybtickets and relates times guests have in the parks, as this is something that impacts your trip. Overall, the service and amenities offered, combined with their openness for feedback during the trip and efforts done to live up the expectations makes us get back to them if we do a next trip!

great
5/5

The accommodation was a bit better than expected, especially the accommodation in Naivasha was very beautiful, although the Internet signal in Masai Mara and Amboseli was not very good. The guide Johny Jackson is very good at finding wild animals, he can be the first to see lions hidden in the bushes, driving skills are also very good, he can speak a little Chinese, very humorous

This Safari trip was great. The guide Johny Jacson was very professional and led us to see many animals, including elephants, lions, leopards, etc. It was really great to see the animal world with our own eyes. In addition, the accommodation conditions were also very good. It was an unforgettable travel experience.
