We contracted 2 days private safari from Zanzibar to Mikumi park with Imara for a family of 5 persons and we had an amazing experience. Reservation was easy and Feisal provided clearly all necessary information in advance. He timely arranged pick up from hotel , ferry to Dar es Salam, comfortable van transportation to the park and a clean and spacious accommodation at Chamboo Village near the park. they even provided additional separated room for our daughter. At the safari Godfrey, the guide, show us in an open jeep all common zebras, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes,...and then he tried hard for lions until he spotted a lioness in the middle of the Savannah that we could see at very close distance and by ourselves. Thanks Godfrey !!!
If you are planning to do a either a tour in Zanzibar or a Safari my strong recommendation you do it with Imara. it is a local tour operator led by Feisal who was always very kind, helpful, responsible and well organised. Everything was perfect from the moment we land to the moment we left.
We spent 6 days with our guide Wilson.
He took us at the airport and we visited:
Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Myniara.
The car war well equipped, the guide was perfect.
Accomodations were great and also food was extremely good and safety during all our tour.

She is always out there for the clients, and she thinks in my way and gives me a lot of advice to either protect myself well or have as much fun as I can. David is also a kind person in this company, he ensures my safety all the time. All the accommodations are actually out of my expectations at such a price. They gave me unforgettable memory watching wildlife and to see this beautiful African land, especially the experience in Amboseli. I would recommend everybody to go to Amboseli once in life. Unforgettable safari experience with exceptional guides
If you're thinking about going on a safari in Tanzania with SummitExpeditions, just do it. Seriously, I can't recommend it enough, especially with Godson as your guide. We did a 3-day safari, and it was hands down one of the best experiences ever.
From the moment we landed, everything was taken care of – airport transfer, accommodations, the whole shebang. We kicked things off at Tarangire National Park, then hit up the Ngorongoro Crater, and wrapped up at Lake Manyara. Each spot had its own magic, and Godson made sure we didn't miss a thing.
Speaking of Godson, he's the real deal. As a local, he's got this deep knowledge of the parks and the animals, which was a big plus compared to other tour operators. We got super lucky and saw the Big 5 plus a ton of other wildlife. Every time we had a question, Godson had an answer, usually sprinkled with some local culture and stories. Plus, he's just a really friendly guy – always smiling, always ready to help out.
On our last day, we met John, Godson's partner, when he joined us for the ride back to the airport. John was just as awesome and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed.
Just be careful when paying (I recommend contacting Godson or John personally on Whatsapp to make sure you are transferring to the right account) for security purposes.
Honestly, the whole trip was worth every penny. If you're on the fence about it, just go for it. The experience, the animals, the people – it’s something you'll remember forever. I totally recommend it and will definitely come back!

An amazing holiday with nature and culture
As a solo traveler I really enjoyed this tour and the comfortable accommodations. The itinerary is just the right amount of activity and down time, which gave me the flexibility to book additional activities like white water rafting and a massage. Cuckoo safaris was very attentive to my needs and everyone I interacted with was kind and professional. The cultural village tour was a great way to learn more about how the local villagers live and dinner at The Boma was a fun way to end my last night of the trip. Shout-out to Simon who helped ensure that I had the best time and handled all of the extra logistics (and my many questions!) I definitely recommend this tour for solo travelers or families!
