Went for the adventure, stayed for the people
I have to admit, at first it felt a bit weird because I’d never organized a trip like this on my own before. Everyone kept saying I was crazy for going to Tanzania without an agency — but honestly, everything went even better than I could’ve imagined.
Francis picked us up from the hotel — always cheerful and kind — and we made the payment in cash in Dar es Salaam before heading to Nyerere National Park. That’s where we met our guide, Kennedy, and we couldn’t have been luckier. He was full of fascinating facts about the animals and the ecosystem, and so was our driver.
We stayed in this super peaceful lodge in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by nature. Every now and then, we’d see local tribes passing by with their cattle. What made it even more special was feeling completely surrounded by local people — it never felt touristy or staged, just real and authentic.
It was such a special experience — simple, genuine, and unforgettable.

Unforgetable experience with Cari Local Safaris!
We had an amazing week in Tanzania with our guide Rose and game driver Charles. The two of them gave us a truly unforgettable experience! Charles was able to provide us amazing game sightings that far exceeded our expectations. Rose and Charles both also shared so much about Tanzania with us and it was incredible to get such great insight to a wonderful place. This will be a trip that we remember for a lifetime and hope to return again one day.

The tour was exceptional as were accommodations & guides because Jessica pays attention to details.
There were 5 of us who are good friends on our trip to Africa. The planning of Dancing Zebra (Jessica Mathews) was above and beyond our expectations. She offered good suggestions and listened to what we wanted to experience. We had 2 birders with us; all of our guides knew everything about the wildlife (including birds), their habitats, and shared with us their history, culture, and life experiences in their country. We laughed, we learned, and had an amazing experience. The accommodations were all exceptional as was the food. The service at each accommodations was so helpful. We always had the same waiter. When we were on safari, our lunch or breakfast (or both), was served on a table with a table cloth and chairs and each meal was delicious. We had private eating experiences as well: a private lunch while on safari with the staff from our accommodations preparing the bbq and amazing wines and a full bar, a farewell dinner with a bonfire and traditional Tanzanian food, a sunset appetizer with wine and other beverages in the bush. We did walking a walking safari, a night safari, a Chobe River boat safari, and, of course, we were in the Land Cruiser looking for animals, birds, and enjoying the African beauty. We saw the Big 5 and pretty much everything we wanted to see, as well as animals (birds included) that I knew nothing about. All of the details included in the planning by Jessica made for an experience that was so special. The staff at the various locations and our guides were warm and fun and had a wealth of information to share with us. We spent 11 nights in Tanzaniza, 3 nights in Zimbabwe (traveling to Botswana for a day to Chobe National Park), and 5 nights in Cape Town, South Africa. I am so happy we planned this trip with Dancing Zebra as recommended by our friends. I travel a lot and this was one of the best trips I have ever experienced.

Very propessional
It was a great experience. Our guide, Ayalew, tried to satisfy all our needs. He answered all the questions that were thrown at him. The cars were good, as were the drivers, making me feel safe. Money, due to the devaluation, creates some problems. You can't change too much at once (it's hard to carry the stack of money) and you need cash.

Lindi Weeks planned the best vacation we’ve ever had!!!!
My husband and I decided on very short notice that we wanted to go on a safari. We started researching what we wanted and where to stay. We saw safari.com on the internet and had the good fortune to be contacted by Lindi Weeks!!! I wrote her a wish list of hotels, activities, timeline, and length of trip. We told her we wanted a luxury experience!!! Wow, the adventure she put together was beyond my wildest dream… and on such short notice!
All of our hotels were top notch!! Mostly all inclusive… safaris, food, activities. Probably the best service, and food we have ever experienced. We stayed at the city lodge in Johannesburg(a nice hotel to just spend the night right at the airport), safari lodge in Zimbabwe, Kapama river lodge in Kruger and the Bay Hotel in Capetown. All of our flights, and transportation were also handled.
We were also given a beautiful itinerary to follow on the internet for our whole journey.
The very best part was that Lindi also checked in with us several times to make sure everything was going well on our trip!!
Please do not hesitate to ask for Lindi, you will not be sorry!! She helped us create memories we will never forget and I still cannot wipe the smile off my face!!!

Very friendly,helpful and informative
We booked 3 trips through Black Santa. We were given all the information in advance and any questions were responded to quickly. Everything ran to time and small changes were made to suit our wishes.
The trip to Tsavo is a long day out but worth it to see all the amazing wildlife.
On the Wasini trip we saw dolphins and had some wonderful snorkelling, able to go at the pace of our group with the guide pointing out fish and octopus to us. The stop on the sandbank was magical.
At Shimba Hills there was not so much wildlife but our guide worked hard to find as much as possible for us to see. The walk to the waterfall is lovely but be prepared to get back up the hill afterwards as some it it was quite steep.
We enjoyed each trip. Our only comment was that the safari vehicle was not so comfortable, especially if you need a bit of leg room.

I would do this every year if I could !!!
Eco Adventure Safaris and Borne made our gorilla trek soooo seamless. We felt well-informed on the schedule and what to expect before coming to Rwanda, and the drive into Uganda was super streamlined. Our lodge Buhoma Gorilla Camp was so cute and the employees were sooooo sweet! I have been recommending to everyone who's interested. Truly a once in a lifetime trip.

Eyes of Tanzania ensures perfectly organized and unforgettable holiday experiences.
We booked a 14-day combination trip with Eyes of Tanzania – 7 days on safari and 7 days in Zanzibar – and we were absolutely thrilled! The safari was incredible! Our guide was incredibly friendly, showed us so much, and truly impressed us with his experience. We saw so many animals, stayed in fantastic lodges, and experienced something new every day – simply unforgettable! On Zanzibar, we continued with an exciting tour of Stone Town and a really interesting spice farm tour! After that, we spent the second week relaxing in a dreamy hotel right on the beach. White sand, turquoise water, delicious food, and incredibly friendly staff – pure relaxation! The entire organization was top-notch – everything ran smoothly, and we didn't have to worry about a thing. This is exactly what a vacation should be like! In short: A huge thank you to Eyes of Tanzania and especially to Rose! You gave us an unforgettable time in Africa.

Unforgettable Safari Adventure in Kenya and Tanzania
Our 10-day safari in Kenya and Tanzania was absolutely amazing! We saw all the animals we could ever hope for — from lions and elephants to giraffes and rhinos. The organizers took great care of us throughout the trip, tailoring the itinerary perfectly to our needs and preferences. Communication was excellent, and the guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to help. One night we had to stay in a different hotel (not the guide’s fault), but they managed to get us a free room upgrade — even though other groups in the same situation didn’t get that. Everything was handled professionally and with genuine care. We truly had the experience of a lifetime and highly recommend this safari to anyone!
