Excellent birder and amazing guide
My 14 yr old son and I had an unforgettable trip with Davis and Wide Birding Eco Tours. We went for about 15 days. I could write a ton of great things but I will focus on more brief bullet points that I think apply to birders like me trying to decide on the right guide.
* Davis did a great job looking out for us, making us comfortable, making sure we got what we wanted out of the experience. English is taught in Ugandan schools so he obviously spoke great English, and we really didn't have any issues communicating throughout the trip with other Uganda d and Rwandans anywhere we went. I wasn't expecting that.
* He is very knowledgeable of locations throughout Rwanda and Uganda. Plus, you could tell he had strong local relationships every where we went which I could tell helped improve the experience. He also brought in very knowledgeable local guides at key times which made the experience even better.
* Davis himself is an excellent, expert birder, both by sight and sound. He has been birding since his youth. Plus he's not only good at it but clearly loved it, and surrounded us with other guides who loved birding as well.
* He chose very comfortable lodges with good food.
* Birding was our priority but we wanted to keep on the lookout for other animals and he did a great job incorporating that. We saw the Big 5 and plenty more. He knew his mammals really well too.
It was an amazing trip and we are very grateful for Davis and Wide Birding Eco Tours!

Incredible experience
We spent three incredible days in Kruger, and it was an unforgettable experience. Not only did we get to see the Big Five, but we also had the most amazing guide, who was so attentive and passionate, showing us everything from tiny beetles and birds to majestic trees. Our accommodations were always welcoming, with everything perfectly planned and organized. Sebenzile and Muzi made our experience truly memorable, and I’ll never have enough words to express my gratitude to them.

Gorillas, chimpanzees and golden monkeys
S2G Tours & Travels Rwanda Gorillas Was an excellent tour operator. The guide/driver Dan was with me the entire eight day trip. He was friendly and helpful and professional and his driving was always safe and careful. He assisted me in going through immigration at the Rwanda/ Uganda border. We were supposed to see gorillas in DRC but with consultation with Aron, the coordinator, it was decided that with the rebels overrunning Goma and getting close to the border, we shouldn’t take a chance of crossing into DRC. Aron was very involved in rearranging the itinerary on the fly, changing to see the gorillas in Uganda instead of DRC and going to a beautiful hotel on a lake with many islands. I saw everything that was promised just not as set out initially but as they say, this is Africa and you must be flexible and adaptable and not rigid and adamant. We spent an hour with a group of mountain gorillas. They were gentle and habitualised to humans. It was magical. Overall it was an excellent eight day tour and S2G Tours & Travels Rwanda provided everything that I wanted.

Myself and my husband worked with Hitesh, the owner, for a couple weeks placing together the itinerary of one of our "bucket list" trips. We can't even begin to express how amazing Hitesh is. His communication is fast, pleasant and always super helpful. Never hesitated to answer any of my thousand questions. We decided to use a local Arusha based operator instead of the overpriced operators in Canada we got pricing from. He took all our stress out of our entire booking experience, he handled every blip we had along the way with speed, kindness and compassion. Mission Tour and Travel provided me (and seemingly the other group members) a wonderful experience. Our guide did a great job in identifying and explaining the behaviors of the many animals we were able to see on our safari. He was courteous, friendly, and always asked if we were "okay to move on", making sure everyone had a chance to take the photos they wanted. I always felt very safe in his driving ability, knowledge and experience in knowing how close we could get to various species without putting anyone in danger while optimizing photo opportunities. The drives were so enjoyable even if wildlife was not evident at the moment. I have nothing but wonderful memories from my experience.

Fantastic experience!
We loved the safari. The local culture, the enchanting nature and the friendliness of the people will remain in our hearts. The organization of the Selous Reserve was excellent... on time, perfectly organised, good food, a friendly, cheerful, competent and helpful tour guide (Abel). He helped us in various situations and we thank him for that. We will come back to visit you in the future!

Unforgettable Safari Adventure in November
I recently had the opportunity to go on a safari in November that was nothing short of spectacular. Our guide, Jeff, was absolutely wonderful. His expertise and enthusiasm made the experience unforgettable as he managed to show us every animal present in the park. His passion for wildlife was infectious, making each sighting even more special.
The food provided during the trip was fantastic; every meal was a delight, prepared with fresh, local ingredients. The variety and quality of the cuisine were beyond expectations.
Moreover, the staff was super friendly and accommodating, always making sure our needs were met with a smile. Their hospitality added a personal touch to the entire experience, making us feel like part of their family. What made this trip even more special was the surprise party they organized with the Maasai for my fiancé - it was a perfect celebration!
