Amazing journey with Right Choice Safaris!
5/5

We are a group of 12 people with families and friends from China. We just had a very pleasant journey with Right Choice Safaris. Our guide Joshua and Ben are very knowledgeable, reliable and both have extreme good eyesight. We went to Masai Mara for the Migration and when we were not confident enough if we could see the crossing or not after waiting for 2 days, Joshua asked us to be patient and said the animals were ready. And we eventually saw it! Also when we were entangled with what to see and where to go in Masai Mara, Joshua always led the way. He suggested us to have 6am early morning game drive in Nakuru which we got the unforgettable morning mist over the lake like a fairytale! We stayed 2 nights at Amboseli Oltukai, 4 at Masai Mara Entim and Eden, 1 Nakuru Sarova, 1 Naivasha Sopa and 1 Mount Kenya Fairmont. All the hotels and services are very good. Impressed about the efficiency Kenya people have! Will come again!

Highly recommend this company
5/5

Communication: Promptly answered all my queries when i was planning this trip.
Safari guide: Suleiman was very good. Knowledgeable and organised everything well.
Safari vehicle: Comfortable, and very spacious for our family of 3.
Accommodation: Permanent tents were lovely, service and food was good.
Wildlife: Fantastic. Saw all the big 5.
Value for money: Good Local company. Their quotes were much better value than foreign companies.

Improvements: Only minor. Would have liked more variety in our picnic food. Food was still good.

Highly recommend this company.

Worst experience
1/5

I was overcharged, with an extra $600 that shouldn’t have been included. I booked a private tour but was almost put into a group tour instead. I signed up for three days of game drives, but only two were scheduled. After already paying for the transfer from Masai Mara to Nairobi, I was charged extra upon drop-off. The driver for the transfer from the hotel to the airport didn’t show up on time and there was no communication. None of the pre-booked arrangements were acknowledged until I provided evidence and pointed out the issues myself.

The only person who handled things professionally was Daniel, who guided us in Masai Mara. He was punctual, dedicated, and provided us with a truly memorable experience in the national park.

Easy, relaxed, packed full of animals
5/5

Summary: Just finished an 8 day tour with Zambezi, starting in Victoria Falls and ending in Maun. I was a solo female traveller.

Company: This company was very easy to work with and we communicated via email and by whatsapp. Response was fast and informative. I recommend at least one person in your group has whatsapp if you're like me and like to double check pick up times or any other details. Silence and Nomvula were great at responding to any little queries I had throughout the trip and even changing parts at the last minute.

Arrival: I arrived a day before my safari and Nomvula helped me organise something to do on my spare day. I ended up going to Hwange which was spectacular. I was picked up at the VF airport by Nkasi who also detoured to help me and the other passengers get some sim cards in town.

Victoria Falls: I did the sunset boat cruise on the Zambezi River with Francis, who is very witty and friendly. And finally in VF of course the safari included a tour of the falls themselves. Mr B was a great guide and I got lucky as it was just the two of us so we had a really great chat and stopped at all the animals to take photos.

Elephant Sands: was a great place to spend the night as you can eat your meals just 20m away from where the elephants are hanging out. I also found a gecko and some cool bugs out at night while walking back to my chalet. This is a good place to facetime your family so they can watch the elephants with you 😀

Chobe: In Botswana most of the time was spent at Chobe National Park. There were two days with a boat ride and a game drive each day, but Zambezi helped me swap one of the boat drives to a game drive as I think I liked them better. Chobe is very packed with animals you will definitely see lots there. I was lucky enough to see both lions AND a leopard, as well as stacks of elephants, giraffe, impala, buffalo, birds, etc.

Okavango: Poling through the Okavango Delta was gorgeous, and the walk afterwards is highly recommended as it was the closest you'll get to animals while on foot. Arnold was a great guide.

Highlights: the animals (leopard, lions, elephants especially!), the tight-knit Zambezi team, chatting with the guides

Tips: accept every bottle of water someone offers you, you'll drink them all! Bring small change for tips - each section of the safari is organised separately with a different guide so I foolishly brought $80 for an 8 day safari (following the $10usd/day guide) but this was not very useful for each individual activity! Book a safari with some free time to chill out or do other activities eg the boma dinner. Download whatsapp. Write notes of the animals you see as I found I was forgetting the names of things (especially the birds). Buffet meals are often better than meals where you order off a menu in my experience. Have fun!

My trip to massai mara with jocky torus was splendid, they keep to time, the services was top notch, I was even assisted by thr company beyond what I paid for. They made not just my experience in the safari worthwhile but extended the service to my entire stay in Kenya, my tour guide was phenomenal (Sir Charles Sharruq).

Everything you could ask for in a safari.
5/5

Lion King Adventures was awesome to deal with from the very first contact to the last day of our safari.
They were so responsive and helpful with questions and advice. Our guide, Joffery was so welcoming and knowledgeable the entire safari. We saw so many different animals from lions, crocs, impala, giraffe, elephants, rhino, flamingo, buffalo, hyena……the list keeps going.
The accomodation, meals and staff were outstanding!
I will be using these guys again!

Peter went out of his way to show the wildlife & the masai Mara reserve !
5/5

The tours were great , picked up & dropped us at accurate times & put their full efforts to show all the wildlife that exists in masai Mara. I had fun meeting the groups & the people within the group as well. I would definitely recommend this to others who are wanting to see the safari parts of Africa in Kenya.

Alex was very knowledgeable and made sure we were able to get close and see the Big Five!
4/5

We had a wonderful experience on our 4-day Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru tour! We upgraded our hotels to the Jambo Mara Lodge and Sarova Woodlands in Nakuru and highly recommend doing that. The food at Jambo Mara was okay and was very good at Sarova Woodlands. The staff at both hotels were very kind and felt very secure. There was hot water at both and nice bathrooms. For the safari, it was not always clear what our plan was and the plan would change without enough communication and we ended up not going to Lake Naivasha because of an timing issue. Alex was really great at helping us see all of the animals and letting us get close and watch without rushing us. I highly recommend doing the balloon safari (it is a VERY early start) and is very worth it and the breakfast after was stunning. We visited the Masai village as well which is very nice to learn about but be prepared to spend a bit of extra money with the souvenirs and donations to the school. Also, we really enjoyed spending time with the other people throughout our tour and saved a good amount of money by not doing a private tour.
