Another fabulous trip organized by Tanja!
Once again we have returned from a fabulous self-drive trip to Kruger National Park, Timbavati and Sabi Sands Game Reserves.
Tanja is amazing to work with due to her professionalism, response time and exceptional knowledge of the area.
Again she used her local expertise to plan an unforgettable trip which had amazing wildlife sightings and lodges.
We would not use any other agent to organize our holidays to South Africa and highly recommend African Savanna Travel.

Unforgettable Safari with an Amazing Team!
We were on an amazing 7-day mobile safari with Shipungo, and we cannot recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, our guide, Kem, and the crew – Shine, Left, and Keji – made sure everything was taken care of.
Kem was a great guide, sharing his knowledge of the wildlife. We saw an incredible variety of animals up close, making every game drive a new adventure. The crew worked seamlessly to make sure everything ran smoothly. One of the highlights was the delicious and diverse food they managed to prepare it exceeded our expectations.
What really stood out was how well they cared for us when my partner got sick. We were far from civilization, but they arranged for medicine to be delivered, which was no easy task.
We had such a great time that we would absolutely do it again – and with the same crew! Thank you, Kem, Shine, Left, and Keji, for making this safari such a memorable adventure.

Marurumi Safaris did a wonderful job regarding planning, communication and the best experience ever
Marurumi Safaris proved to be the best choice in the whole process.
From the early operator selection 6 months before, delivered a good price, provided confidence with a clear and quick communication showing expertise and cordiality. 3 different payments along the way were an easy task.
The manager James did a great job with the best safari planning and even came to our hotel in Nairobi the night before departure to propose an improvement to the plan (without extra payments) that we apreciated.
The accomodations, type of car, meals and optionals were just as expected and agreed in advance.
The safari itself was one of the best experiences in our lives thanks to our experienced guide Lawrence who, we're almost certain, is the best guide in Kenya. :-)
He has an expertise of 14 years experience, is very knowledgeable about the wildlife and always drove us safely and knew where to go and to spot animals, positioning the vehicle in the best spots and angles.
Thank you so much Marurumi!

Hands down the best 15 day safari with kind, professional, knowledgeable Camptrek Safaris!
Our 15 day safari in Kenya and Tanzania was absolutely fantastic!!! Even though I read the overview and saw all the pictures, I really had no idea what I was in for. We had 7 people, 2 jeeps and WOW what a dream!!! First of all, John put together an amazing schedule and is so kind, professional and knowledgeable. It really wasn’t just a Safari as I had imagined… it was meeting so many kind people, learning about their culture, seeing and learning about the animals up close from guides with so much knowledge and getting excited from their excitement for what we were seeing! Elephants, 3 types of giraffes, 2 types of zebras, wildebeest, lions, cheetahs, leopards, pumbas, hippopotamus, rhinoceros, baboons, hyenas, monkeys, all kinds of birds, water buffalo, acacia trees and baobab trees (tree of life)….just wow. All of our guides were the best! Thank you John, Anthony, Eric, Good Luck, Hamisi, and Anthony #2! The first day we went to an elephant orphanage and giraffe center, then off we went to Samburu, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Masai Mara (and did the unforgettable sunrise hot air balloon/ breakfast), Serengeti, Tarangire and Amboselli National Parks. We got to learn and meet people from the Masai, the Hedzabe (nomadic) and the Datoga (blacksmith) tribes. The places we stayed were just terrific, I can’t say enough. And honestly, I was worried if there would be decent food for me as a vegan. Well there were so many options and very delicious! They accommodate for anyone’s dietary needs everywhere we went. It was such a beautiful trip. We were sad to say goodbye to what felt like family. Camptrek Safaris is the best and I would recommend them to anyone going on safari!

Amazing city tour
My day tour of Arusha City was a delightful journey through the heart of Tanzanian culture and history. The day began at the Cultural Heritage Centre, where I immersed myself in the rich traditions and diverse cultures of Tanzania. The extensive collection of art, crafts, and artifacts provided a deep understanding of the country’s heritage and was a fantastic introduction to the day.
Next, we visited Shanga House, a truly inspiring stop on the tour. Shanga House is a workshop that employs individuals with disabilities to create beautiful handmade jewelry, glassware, and textiles. Watching the artisans at work and learning about their stories was both moving and enlightening. Supporting their work by purchasing some of their stunning creations felt like a meaningful contribution.
We then headed to the National History Museum, where we delved into Tanzania's past through its extensive exhibits. From prehistoric artifacts to colonial history, the museum offered a comprehensive overview of the country’s development and cultural evolution.
Our next stop was the Maasai Market, a vibrant and bustling place where local artisans sell their crafts. The market was a sensory overload of colors and sounds, with an array of Maasai beadwork, carvings, and textiles on display. It was a great spot to pick up unique souvenirs and interact with local vendors.
The tour concluded at the Tanzanite Experience, which provided an in-depth look at one of Tanzania’s most famous gemstones. The guided tour explained the significance of tanzanite, its mining process, and showcased an impressive collection of tanzanite jewelry. It was a fascinating end to the day, highlighting a unique aspect of Tanzania's natural wealth.
Throughout the day, the guide was knowledgeable and engaging, making the tour both informative and enjoyable. Their insights into the city’s history, culture, and daily life greatly enhanced the experience.
Overall, the Arusha City day tour was a well-organized exploration of the city’s cultural and historical highlights. It’s a fantastic way to experience the essence of Arusha and get a true feel for the local culture.

Affable Tours & Safaris is worth a repeat visit!
Spending 2 weeks in Kenya, under the watchful eye of Agoi and his crew was life changing. I briefly escaped a windowless desk job and arrived in a lovely country with open blue horizons, exotic animals, and friendly people. Agoi is very knowledgeable and shares much of his information in story formats, making the experiences special. I was so delighted by my experience, I returned with my sons for a second trip, to celebrate their 21 birthdays.

Leslie is the most Amazing, talented, hospitable, personable, knowledgeable guide - request again!
Brenda is absolutely a Gem. We communicated often as there were lots of moving parts for this trip. We first went to Zanzibar. We had the beach experience on the beach with a beach bun-aglow on the Indian Ocean. Then, we moved to Stone Town. We planned several excursions while we were there. The guide, UmCha and drivers were the absolute BEST. After a week there, we flew to mainland Tanzania. We started our Safari at Ngorongoro Crater. It is one of the most beautiful sites that you will ever see. We actually saw the Big 5 within 24 hours--I know, Leslie says this almost never happens. We continued our journey to central Serengeti and stayed there at a Bush camp. The set up is actually pretty nice. We continued to go on our amazing drives. After a couple days there, we continued on to northern Serengeti and drove right into observing the "Great Migration"...we saw the crossing a couple of times while we were there. One morning, we went on an unforgettable hot air ballon ride and saw the sun rise over the Serengeti. An unforgettable experience--every person that I have shared this with wants the exact same journey.
