Review about Masai Mara National Reserve by Geoff
I was there during the great migration and this is the best wildlife viewing I have experienced in Africa. It is easy to see all of the big five except for rhinos. I would recommend it anyone.

Many amazing game drives
We did quite a lot of game drives, maybe too many for some, but that's why we were in Africa. We went to Kruger ( Letaba, Skukuza and Croc Bridge) and Hluhluwe as well as transit drives through that part of South Africa. We did dawn and dusk drives almost every day as well as a night drive and an armed bush walk. Wildlife highlights, African Wild dog, leopard, white rhino, cheetah, lion, jackal, elephant, hyena and almost every type of antelope. The accommodations are basic, but are clean and safe. The weather is changeable in October, but had some beautiful days. The scenery is breathtaking from the bush to the Drakensbergs. People were very nice.
Other highlights were stopping off at the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre and donating to their wildlife program and bring scool supplies for their partnered school, Stopping one night at Royal Hlane in Swaziland and hot air ballooning in the Drakensberg.

Superb "à la carte" trip
Hello,
I went alone to north East Tanzania in November 2017. I met a group of amazing US tourists there, I traveled with them to Tarangire national park, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater.
Amazing trip, with amazing people in an amazing region. I can only recommend it, just be careful of the tips you need to give on a daily basis to locals (driver, guide, cook... around $10/person/day), which can increase your budget travel quite significantly.
Before traveling, don't hesitate to ask for some pictures to the places where you will sleep, huge differences between public camp, private camp and lodges in terms of comfort.

Amazing wildlife but a very disorganized tour.
I visited Masai Mara during the great migration and it was an amazing experience. I have been to a lot of national parks in Africa including Kruger and the Serengeti and Masai Mara was the best experience. Although I may be overly influenced by the fact that this is the only time I have been able to see a leapord up close. The down side was our tour operator, Karibu Tours. They seemed to be completely disorganised and modified the tour to suit their needs over their clients. In addition our guide/driver was very poor at keeping us informed and answering our questions. The other sites we visited were not as interesting especially Lake Nakuru which is no longer visited by the millions of flamingoes it is famous for as the water level has risen and they have relocated to another lake where it is easier to feed.

Exceeded Expectations!
My wife booked this trip with Experience Uganda for a special birthday treat for herself, so she set the standards high and chose the operator carefully. Communication with them (Kevin) was faultless, all queries addressed very quickly. The itinerary was customised with expertise, taking into consideration our time and budget requirements.
Airport transfers, game drives and travel between lodges were always punctual, thanks to Michael – our guide. He became a part of our team during our safari, it would not have been the same without him. There wouldn’t have been breakfast on the savanna or drinks at dusk on the hill top for a start.
The lodges we stayed at were brilliant, but with no disrespect to the others, Kyambura Gorge and Bakers deserve a special mention.
All the wildlife we saw was fascinating and the gorilla trekking was the highlight, better than I had imagined.
As I said earlier, my wife had set the standards high, but Experience Uganda exceeded them! Thank you for a great safari.

Our safari tour with Koboko Adventures was thoroughly enjoyable.
From our first meeting in cape Town I felt very excited about our safari. Our guide, Collen was extraordinary, not only as a guide, tracker and mechanic but also as a diplomat and manager of people. I thought that he had the skills of the CEO of a large company. Our cook, Bryan and general assistant in everything, Mishak were caring, competent and committed to excellence. I was fascinated in the landscape and wildlife, including birds and I found these guides had an amazing expertise but also a keen interest to learn more; so in that way a wonderful rapport developed between our group and our guides. We also had some keen photographers and nothing was too much trouble to get them the great shots they wanted. My husband and I particularly enjoyed a visit to a local family, chosen completely at random, who chatted to us about their way of life. Our guide showed a great deal of sensitivity in organising this.
The food was outstanding. Bryan was completely dedicated to providing nourishing, interesting food with an African slant. How he did this for 18 people on two gas burners and an open fire I don't know. And having the long treacle table set for meals added a touch of elegance and class every night.

Animals & ridiculous vistas: our safari to Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Manyara was magical!
As nature lovers and outdoors folks, my buddies and I from Seattle were wildly impressed by guide Dave Thadeus. Not only was he able to get us right up to every animal one would hope to see, but his enthusiasm for African ecology was infectious. He was able to answer our countless dumb questions and cater to our weird requests. We've done a few African safaris now, and I can tell you, Dave's a pro. His humble expertise and friendly demeanor is exactly what you want in a guide.
Well planned, organised and everything was just as it should it was supposed to be
Paul planned the trip with us suggesting places and lodges to visit and stay. His personal suggestions proved to be the highlight of the trip and his suggestions for lodges where fantastic. The whole trip went like clockwork and we were helped without fuss from one location to the next.
If you go to Southern Tanzania the Ruaha is a must and Ikuka Camp is the place to stay. This was so much more than I expected and I had high expectations. But its was just fantastic.
Pauls organisation planning and support was fantastic. All done by email but always there to help. Thank You
