Right from the beginning, communications from Pamoja Tours were prompt and detailed, making this complex planning so much easier. My contact at Pamoja, Regina, was a real gem. She truly listened to what sort of experience I was looking for and put together a fabulous tour for me.
I was in Uganda for the first week, on the Gorilla and Chimpanzee Habituation Tours - an absolutely incredible experience. My guide/driver was David Katantazi. He was not only very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of Uganda but was very generous in answering my million questions about all things Ugandan.
The next two weeks were on safaris in Kenya and Tanzania. My guide, Allan Sande, was another absolutely amazing treasure. He was an incredible wildlife spotter - I got to see more species of animals then I even thought possible! He wasn't just a great spotter, he was so knowledgeable about them all. Besides his knowledge, his good nature and beautiful laugh made him the best companion I could have asked for.
Choosing Pamoja Tours, a smaller Ugandan company, was the best decision I could have made. I felt safe and well looked after the entire time. My trip organizer, Regina, was always quick in getting back to me regarding any and all matters.
I had dreamed of my African trip for years and the reality far exceeded my expectation. Thanks again to Pamoja and my lovely guides for making this an unforgettable memory. As I said many times during this trip, "my heart is full".

Excellent tour, great guides, great facilities but some planning issues
We are a late 60's couple from New Jersey. Benson put together an excellent 16 day personal tour for my wife and I. We travelled from Nairobi across southern Kenya to the Massai Mara and then south to Tanzania, the Serengeti, and many other national parks. Benson arranged for a separate tour company (Raven Tours) to escort us through Tanzania. Finally, our Banok guide met us at the Namanga border crossing near Amboseli National Park to finish our tour and return us to Nairobi Airport. Both transfers at the international borders went smoothly thanks to the guides. Both guides were excellent and really made the trip a once in a lifetime experience. We cannot recommend Robert in Kenya (for Banok Tours) and Rajabu (Roger) in Tanzania (for Raven Tours) highly enough!
In all cases, the accommodations and meals were excellent. Facilites were always clean and comfortable. We stayed in both lodges and glamping tent sites. All rooms and tents had running water and flush toilets, even in the most remote areas.
We were scheduled for a hot air balloon trip in Tanzania which we had paid for in advance. Unfortunately, it had to be canceled due to very high winds. Benson arranged for a complete refund for us before we left Tanzania.
The reason for the 4 star rating comes from the tour planning. Although most days went as planned, there were some instances where we could not visit a park or wildlife area as planned because travel times and distances were much greater than had been indicated in our tour itinerary, requiring us to forgo a stop or shorten a visit. Our tour guides worked out the kinks in the itinerary as needed. Roger was particularly helpful in this regard.
Overall it was the an excellent experience and the tour of a lifetiime. We would certainly go with Benson and Banok tours again.

Best custom safari operator!!!
Miranda and Roko were super helpful arranging our custom safari and optimizing the itinerary. They were very prompt replying by email and patient with questions. The vehicle was top notch, clean, well maintained, and had all the snacks and drinks our kids needed to stay happy. I would highly recommend this small company to arrange your safari needs! We stayed at their lodge and had very tasty home cooked meals.
Our driver Salim was very experienced, courteous, and safe. We would dart off across the Savanah and have no idea why then Salim would point out what he saw on the horizon (lions, cheetahs, hyenas). Overall saw 45 different lions in 3 days of safari along with countless other animals. Salim was the OG of Ndutu and helped so many others who were stuck with inexperienced drivers who were lost. Salim never tired after 12 hours of fun.
The Roko team made this the best safari ever!!!!

Tour operator has perfect skills in tourism
As our guide from ozone light tours introduce from air port to city of Arusha, then we were drawn to the shores of Lake Duluti, where we saw elegant African fish eagles swooping down to capture their prey, causing ripples to appear on the glassy surface of the lake. The moment I visited this place created a markable and memorable part of Tanzanian adventure.

It was a well organized tour, our guide Steve was very friendly and enthusiastic.
Communication with the tour operator was very smooth, the guide very friendly and an excellent driver which was helpful during the rainy season and muddy roads. We felt safe driving with him and he was also very helpful to others who got stuck on the road. Accomodotion and food was as expected, whereby the last camp at Amboselli national park was astonishingly beatiful located within nature, we could even see impalas and other animals walking back from the dining area to our room.
We enjoyed our tour with Steve very much and would definitely do it again.

Best safari and beyond
We just got back from a 10-days visit to Tanzania. Erick gave us the most interesting and comprehensive offer for safari and the diverse landscapes and people in Tanzania. We learned about the animals, plants, people and culture, accompanied by a guide who made us feel safe and was full of knowledge. We had the best time.

Good safari company
Our 3 day tour was extremely well organised , and our Driver & Guide Roy was exceptional. Starting from a private pick up from our hotel to transfer to a well designed safari car was seamless and Roy planned everything on the safari meticulously. He was generous with providing ample break and then on Day 1 our evening safari was something to dream of. The next day was a full day safari where we saw 3 different lion families , 2 families of cheetahs , numerous Elephants, Giraffes & Zebras along with other animals & birds. The safari was capped after a tour of the river Mara where Hippos and Crocodiles co-exist.
The stay was planned in a lodge and it was an experience of its own kind , though many of our fellow travellers preferred other lodges depending on their level of comfort . I must also call out that it was Roy , who went above and beyond ( to get us to view the animals ) compared to all other drivers / guides on tour & we were lucky, we had Roy as our tour guide in the Mars.
