Unforgettable trip
Our safari was a dream come true, and it's all thanks to the fantastic work of "Somewhere in Africa." Everything was perfectly arranged. They made sure we didn’t have to worry about anything and could enjoy every moment! The communication with Coosje was clear and friendly, with a keen eye for our wishes.
During the safari, we were amazed by the beautiful lodges, stunning views, and a friendly guide. Spotting the Big Five was, of course, the highlight. It’s clear that "Somewhere in Africa" is passionate about what they do.
We ended our vacation with a week in Zanzibar, and unfortunately, it was a bit of a letdown... In Zanzibar, the location of where you stay is crucial and can make or break your holiday! The boutique hotel "Alma," where we stayed, was very small, with few activities and facilities, only one restaurant, and no beautiful beach. The beaches in general are dependent on tides, but the situation varies by location. We tried to find fun restaurants or bars along the beach, but there were hardly any, or they were closed. We later learned that it’s better to stay in the North (especially for a couple like us, aged 26 and 28).
Once we communicated this with the organization, they immediately took action and did their best to make things right. They contacted the hotel, and we received a complimentary massage and bottle of wine. We also had a planned excursion with "Safari Blue," but unfortunately, that didn’t meet our expectations either. Again, the organization took action and as compensation, arranged a trip to the north to go dolphin watching by boat, snorkeling, and visiting a sandbank. This was worlds apart from Safari Blue and an unforgettable experience!
Although Zanzibar didn’t meet our expectations, we look back on the holiday with a very warm feeling and highly recommend this organization for an experience you’ll never forget!

Pure Rwandan fun with excellent tour guides making it unforgettable
Epic 4-day adventure with 5 friends from South Korea. Akagera safari was wild, Nyungwe canopy walk was like flying, and the Royal Palace Museum tour gave us a royal experience, my friends got to see long horned cows for the first time at the Royal palace something they were looking forward to and the cultural dance performance was like icing on the cake. Our awesome tour guide Ernest made it all even more unforgettable! Thank you Song&Stark Tours for that experience.

Very organized and helpful
We had a great safari in the Masai Mara thanks to Shanjoy Tours. They arranged all the details for us and were very prompt in answering all our questions. Our safari guide Patrick was great - he was easy to get along with and had great knowledge of the animals and where to go each day on our game drives. Shanjoy even arranged a visit to the giraffe centre in Nairobi on our last day before we left and we really appreciated it.

After the first contact we quickly received an extensive proposal with the parks to visit and the hotel accommodations along the way. A permanent contact person was available during and after booking the safari.
We had a private safari; that was more than worth the extra costs. The guide/driver was very friendly and allowed us to see a lot along the way.
If we ever want to do a safari again, I will definitely choose Meektrails again.

Right from the beginning, Michael stood out for his attention to detail and willingness to tailor the trip to our specific needs as it was really special trip for all of us. He organized and recommended the best time to visit based on the wildlife we wanted to see (we were especially excited about chimpanzees in Gombe National Park) and advised us on how to make the most of our time during this adventure.
One of the standout features of our safari was the excellent service provided by our guides, Herman during first days in different parks and Hamis with ranger Isaiah in Gombe NP. Not only they were incredibly knowledgeable and respectful about the wildlife, landscapes, and cultural history of Tanzania, but they also had an uncanny ability to spot animals from a distance. It was exceptional, educational, fun, and an experience we’ll always treasure. I will never forget it and for sure I will come back to see you again guys!!!
This was, without a doubt, the best family vacation we’ve ever had. All guides made it wonderful, exciting, and enriching. The combination of expert knowledge, personalized service and genuine passion for the environment and wildlife made this safari feel like it was tailor-made just for us. Moreover, I need to mention also Dominic, our chef for 2 days in Gombe National Park, who made us delicious food and had the biggest and the kindest smile!
