Great solo safari
5/5

I went as a solo female traveler in September 2014 and had a great experience with Warrior Trails. William, who I worked with to plan was always timely in replying to emails and flexible. My guide Frank was excellent. He had amazing eyesight and could spot animals that were very hidden away that other guides did not see. He also took time to sit and watch animals versus other vehicles who stopped briefly and moved on. He was very knowledgeable also about the many birds and trees/plants. I met Clamian the owner before and after the safari and he was very kind. I visited Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire. I also visited the Maasai primary school which was wonderful. I would definitely recommend them based on my experience.

4 days in the Serengeti/ngorongoro
4/5

Booked a last minute safari through Jessica. She did a great job meeting our budget and desired itinerary. Very timely responses via email helped us immensely. They even took our credit card info and passport scan in lieu of a bank transfer.

Truck was in good shape and we didn't have any breakdowns (saw many near ngorongoro). Wish that they had told us that it didn't have A/C. Afternoon drives were brutal because it was so hot and the dust from other vehicles gave us coughs.

Jessica also lent us her binoculars and called to check in on our progress and satisfaction during the safari. A very nice touch.

The driver, BJ, was knowledgeable and spoke good english. He was gruff and made it tough to get comfortable in his presence (we spent 6-8hours a day with him in the car). The cook, Vincent, was rude and did not ask us when and what we'd like to eat. We were at his mercy when it came to schedule. We also discovered that the meals he prepared for the staff were better than the meals prepared for us.

At the end of the day we were there for the animals and we tried to keep that in mind. The tour operator was great. In our case, the staff was lackluster. Hopefully you get nicer, more respectful guides/cooks. If so, your experience will be 5 stars!

Best way to explore Kruger National Park
5/5

Our tour with Chris and Armadillo Overland was way over our expectations. It was much better than self driving and a true relaxing experience. We were really spoiled by Chris. He provided us with everything, from the tents, chairs, the amazing home cooked food and a lot of knowledge, about kruger, the animals and just life itself. The honesty bar on board the truck was an extra plus. Time was on our side as we didn't hurry, and we saw 4 of 5 Big 5 together with all the other animals and a lot of beautiful birds. Thank You Chris. Hope to see you again.

Outstanding Safari
5/5

I had dreamt of a safari like this since I was 10 and Planet Safari delivered! Everything was perfect - from planning discussions a year before which were personalized and attentive, through last minute hiccups from my end being sensitively and wisely handled, to a warm greeting at every place we stayed! The hotels and tented lodges were ideally located in beautiful natural settings. The interiors were tasteful and elegant while retaining the 'bush camp' feel. The food and service were great throughout. Our guide made the whole excursion an exciting adventure and gave us in depth insights into what we were seeing. He was attentive, knowledgeable, charming and efficient. Tanzania is a spectacular country and Planet Safari's team of professionals are dedicated to ensuring you have an outstanding vacation.

Cultural & Historical Experience in Soweto & Pretoria
5/5

Elize & Deline were wonderful hosts who spent two days with us around Soweto & Pretoria, where we fully appreciated their knowledge, which enlightened us to the history & culture of South Africa. We stayed at Lesidi Lodge & enjoyed tribal dancing & a Pan African Buffet. Our second night was spent in the peaceful surroundings of Greenlea "Eco" Guest house. We thoroughly enjoyed our time & felt we came away with a greater understanding of South Africa. Excellent service and a well recommended tour.

Very experienced travel agent with a great knowledge of the attractions
5/5

Kathi at African Welcome Safaris is an exceptional travel agent. We have used her on two occasions now (out of three visits to the continent) and have not been disappointed by her service, prompt reply to emails, and considered guidance in her itineraries. Her picks have been spot on, factoring in travel time, bookings, and attractions we wanted to see. She obviously can see what we are after, and match the itinerary.

You are reassured to be in safe hands when you book here, and we will likely use her again for future holidays.

The Big 5, The Small 5 and the most memorable time
5/5

Andy & Quintin made our 30th Anniversary a true African Dream Safari. Their passion & exuberance for the wild life was of the very highest level and we felt very privileged to be sharing their knowledge & experience.
Each day as we experienced every sighting, whether it be one of the Big 5, the Small 5 & everything in between, including other mammals, birds, insects & vegetation we were given informative details.
Their kindness & hospitality along with the many personal touches, which included an anniversary number plate, daily snack packs, to chocolates on our pillows to name but a few.
We enjoyed personally prepared food for breakfast, lunch & dinner in true South African style, outside to the natural sights & sounds, along with enjoying their company.
We can highly recommend Bubezi to deliver a true African Bush experience and we would love to return in the near future. Thankyou very much for a truly wonderful time.

It was a DREAM come true! Realise your dream!!!!
5/5

We did a customised trip of only 6 days with www.kenyabudgetholiday.com covering the Rift Valley to Nakuru, Masai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and past Mnt Kilimanjaro on the way back. It was the most amazing trip I ever had and the companies input was above and beyond in all respects. The best was that I could not get a trip anywhere which covers both countries and all the attractions I really wanted to see and in particular in such a short time. On top of all that the trip was halve the price I saw advertised on the web. I found Edward Thongo on the Viator Website and was thus a bit skeptical. But the whole trip could not have worked out better - it was a DREAM. Try it - I guarantee you will NOT be disappointed!

About: Go2Africa
A safari that surpassed all expectations!
5/5

I want to thank Shelley and the Go2Africa team for a safari experience that surpassed all my expectations. The first thing that impressed me is that Shelly took the time to ask me what kind of experience I was looking for and what I hoped to get out of the trip. Based on the fact that I would be traveling alone and wanted something comfortable but not too over the top, she recommended Chapunga Tent Camp in Thornybush Private Reserve. I really did not know what to expect but she was spot on! Everything about the trip was perfect from the flawless travel arrangements to the accommodations to the safari itself. The staff at Chapunga were as nice as can be; the rooms and grounds were lovely and comfortable, and the food absolutely delicious. I loved the intimacy of 16 max guests (we only had five -- even better!). Best of all was the safari itself. I cannot say enough about Kilmon (our guide) and Oscar (our tracker). Their passion for the animals and Thornybush was clear and they really knew what they were doing. We saw everything we could have wanted and then some. The highlight among so many was tracking leopards and driving straight through the bush in order to find a mom and her son somewhat hidden in the bush. We saw them "munching on lunch" and then followed them as they went to the watering hole for a drink. It was just amazing. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have memories to last a lifetime and can't wait to come back. You can be sure that when I do I'll be calling you to help make my arrangements!
