Great experience! Loads of wildlife.
5/5

Had an amazing 4-day safari in Tanzania! The Serengeti was definitely the highlight – breathtaking views, tons of wildlife, a huge thanks to our incredible tour guide, Majunga – super knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole experience unforgettable. Every game drive was a new adventure. Highly recommend if you’re into nature and animals!

7 days in Kenya and Tanzania with Blends of Africa - a trip of a lifetime!
5/5

I made a very last-minute decision to travel solo to Kenya and Tanzania. Given the limited time I had before the dates of my trip (we’re talking days - not weeks, not months - days), I quickly reached out to a number of safari operators to get itineraries and price quotes. Blends of Africa was one of the few who responded almost immediately. Mary was super professional and prompt in her replies, designing a customised itinerary that suited my required pick up and drop off locations, duration and budget. Blends was also the only operator who provided a detailed breakdown of the individual costs, rather than just a general figure. While Blends did have relatively fewer reviews compared to other much larger operators (seeing as they are quite new), I trusted my gut and went ahead with them - with absolutely no regrets. There were a few minor logistical issues that were raised, but they were resolved early and with no further issues (E.g., 1-2 original lodges they’d planned to book for me were sold out, but Mary immediately offered alternatives which were similar, if not better).

Everything was hassle free from the minute I arrived to the time I left. My guides / drivers, Chris (Kenyan leg) and Erick (Tanzanian leg) were full of knowledge and experience, providing a wealth of information about the wildlife, people, and overall history of the places we visited. Thanks to Chris and Erick, I was lucky enough to spot all of the Big Five (plus so many other animals) across the various national parks and reserves - I visited Masai Mara National Reserve, Central Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park. It’s hard to pick a favourite because they were all spectacular in their own way, and the landscapes were so varied. A few major highlights for me were (a) at Masai Mara, spotting three napping lions under a tree and a lone leopard up in the same tree, (b) seeing a pride of lions prowling with their cubs at sunset just outside my lodge in Serengeti, (c) witnessing a lion eating the carcass of a zebra at Ngorongoro, (d) having a herd of elephants cross the river, walk right up to our vehicle, and cross the road behind us at Tarangire

On my last day, I had a few hours to spare before my flight home and Mary helped to organise a last-minute visit to the Nairobi National Park, in the hopes of seeing a rhinoceros more up close. I was lucky enough to see not 1, but 3 (including a little calf!) within the first 15 minutes of entering the park.

I came with no expectations and left with such incredible memories, which is a testament to Blends of Africa’s dedication to delivering the best service. I can’t wait to recommend Blends to all my family and friends. Asante sana!

A trip that exceeded our expectations
5/5

I've only got positive things to say .. everything was great from start to finish - the transfers, food, game drives, the company and everything in between.

Whenever we had any concerns they were addressed immediately and the operators also went out of there way to ensure we enjoy every second.

Big thanks to all involved for making our safari adventure so memorable and a special thanks goes to our guide - Mayunga. Couldn't have asked for a better guide, he met all our needs and wants and easily tailored the trip according to our likings.

Friendly, professional, and unforgettable — Almasi Africa made our safari truly special!
5/5

We had an amazing day safari with Almasi Africa to Tarangire National Park. Communication before the trip was prompt and clear, and the team was incredibly helpful in answering all our questions. Our guide was not only knowledgeable but also kind, funny, and deeply respectful of the animals and environment.

The vehicle was clean and comfortable, and we felt safe the entire time. We saw elephants, lions, giraffes, and even a group of rare birds! What made the experience even better was the personal attention and flexibility they provided throughout the day.

Almasi Africa offers excellent value for money with professional service and genuine passion for Tanzania’s nature. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic and smooth safari experience!

Amazing safari with Lewis and James
5/5

Lewis was our guide and James our chef for our family safari. They were both excellent and made this trip the holiday of a lifetime we had hoped for.

Lewis is knowledgeable, interesting, easy-going, organised and extremely hard working. We have a lot to thank him for. How James manages to produce varied and really tasty food (and masses of it) in pretty basic conditions, is beyond me. We really appreciate them both and would happily recommend them to anyone lucky enough to get them on their tour.

Expert tour operator who goes above and beyond for customer experience.
5/5

We joined a 5 day tour with Axis Africa covering Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha as a group of 4. During the initial booking experience, our point of contact Monica quickly provided detailed itinerary and answered all our clarifying questions. The in-depth and professional communication was a significant contributing factor for us choosing this tour over others. In addition to email, contact is also available over WhatsApp and WeChat.

For the tour itself, our guide / driver was Ken. He gave us a warm welcome to Kenya. During the course of the tour, he regularly checked in with us and anticipated our needs including rest breaks and water (we were traveling with our parents and making sure they had a good time was important to us). He also knew exact timing on getting to the parks early to get the best sighting opportunities. It is truly the trip of a lifetime for us to observe a herd of elephants walking close by, a pride of lions tussling with each other, a cheetah lazing around after making a kill, or even spotting the elusive white rhinos. Along with these spotting opportunities, Ken also explained various facts about not just the local fauna but also the local customs and culture. The explanations really demonstrated his passion for his craft and deepened our appreciation for this beautiful country.

At the end of the tour, we even made a silly mistake of leaving behind one of our phones in the vehicle. Monica and Ken helped to make sure it got back to us before our flight.

I really enjoyed our decision to do a safari here in Kenya and Axis Africa made it a truly memorable and delightful experience.

My Kenya safari was gorgeous and stunning.
5/5

I recently did a safari in Kenya and it was a whole new experience. The wildlife, open landscapes, and peaceful atmosphere felt so real and untouched. It wasn’t rushed, just natural beauty at its best. Kenya felt like a live documentary-but better. Each day brought something new, elephants crossing in silence, Maasai stories by the fire, skies full of stars. This wasn’t just a trip-it was a deep connection with nature I didn’t know I needed. My guide ( Kasaine ) was knowledgeable and made the trip smooth and enjoyable. I express my gratitude and thanks to Namnyak Tours and Safaris for arranging everything so beautifully.

Best 17 Days trip in Uganda
5/5

We felt completely safe the whole time we were there (17 days). We walked around local towns without any safety concerns. We toured the whole country. We loved Kidepo National Park though it was quite a haul to get there! We are 65 and 69 years old. We hiked 10 miles up and down mountains in 5.5 hours to see the Mountain Gorillas which mind was blowing! Follow the tour guidelines though. We had long sleeves, hiking boots, long pants, leg gaiters and heavy gardening gloves which protected us. Others on the tour came in shorts, tennis shoes and no gloves and were miserable. You should be fit to undertake this tour. One person on our tour was not- got heat exhaustion and slowed the rest of the group way down until the guide made the decision to let the rest of us go on without that couple with the assistance of one-armed ranger instead of two. All the national parks were outstanding. Our driver Justine at Ecovic Tours and Travel Uganda Ltd was excellent and we felt completely safe with his driving and protection of us at all times. The other thing I would add was the quick and better response time by Vincent on email returns. We paid for our gorilla permits 6 months in advance and within 2 weeks of the trip, Vincent shared the copies of the permits with us. It was a trip of a lifetime! Uganda is so beautiful!

Come as client leave as friend
5/5

I wanted to do my 4th safari and decided at short notice for Kenya so i wrote to five travel agents on this website. Kelvin from Beast Spoor not only responded the fastest, but also provided the most detailed information. He sent me a very detailed itinerary with additional options. He also answered additional questions immediately, so I booked with him.

I had bad luck with my journey and missed my connecting flight but Kelvin was available via WhatsApp and also found immediately a solution for my trip.
When I finally arrived in Kenya and met Kelvin, it already felt like visiting a friend.

Joining a group trip, you may have to be aware that there may be small changes to accommodation or a change of driver during the trip because others in the group don't always have the same trip as you, but that didn't bother me. In the end you always reach your destination.
