Fantastic Kenya safari
5/5

My girlfriend and I had an amazing experience with Amazing Memories.

We went for an 8-day safari in Kenya, staying in upper range camps and hotels.
From the beginning, our contact Anne was very responsive, tailoring our trip according to our requests. She was waiting at Nairobi airport when we arrived, and gave us a good welcome to Kenya.

The price was reasonable considering the quality of the accommodation, and we stayed in a mix of camps and hotels. Every place we stayed was excellent, going from Amboseli to The Ark in Aberdares, then Lake Nakuru, then the Masai Mara.

Each place was very good, but The Ark was interesting - a hotel right in front of a water hole where you can watch the animals come in style - and Mara Serena in Masai Mara was truly excellent, with breathtaking views.

Our driver Joseph was great, very knowledgeable about the wildlife and friendly and talkative. Thanks to him we knew all the best places to see the animals, and we saw the big 5 and cheetahs and everything else!

We highly recommend Amazing Memories Safaris.

Amazing experience in Kenya.
5/5

We booked the safari online some months earlier and we had everything we had agreed on and even more! Our guide, John, was exceptional: nice, funny, very profesional and really good at finding all the wild animals. We went on a 9 days safari visiting Masai Mara, Nakuru, Baringo, Bogoria, Naivasha and Amboseli, the accomodation was good value with kind staff (except for Naivasha were nature was great but staff were unhelpful and not profesional) and it looked like it could be a bit too long and "too many animals" but centainly it wasn´t!!! We enjoyed every place so much as they are quite different (flamingos in Bogoria, elephants in Ambolseli, rhinos in Nakuru, lions and leopards in Masai, hipos and pelicans in Naivasha,...). So never got bored and were left willing for more in the future!!!

A perfect and tailormade trip around Uganda!
5/5

We asked Sander from Grassrootz to plan a trip that would show us the best of Uganda, and give us the opportunity to get an idea of how the Ugandans live. He succeeded perfectly!

What a fantastic way to visit this beautiful country and its people. We stayed in different kinds of hotels and guesthouses, many of which are part of community projects that support schools or help villages in other ways. That way we got a little closer to the people and also had a great stay at every stop we made.

We had a very professional driver / guide (Paul), who knew everything there was to know about the country and about the national parks, and who made us feel relaxed and at home all the time. We saw beautiful villages, landscapes and people, and in the parks we saw elephants, zebras, antilopes, lions, a leopard, giraffs, crocs, hippos, vultures having a meal ... You name it, we saw it. Thanks to Paul's keen and expereanced eye. The trip was well balanced, flexible and relaxed.

We recommend Grassrootz very warmly!

Right from the planning stages, my experiences with JDA was perfect. Grace was wonderful, and really got to know me and my preferences as we planned my trip. The activities and accomadations were simply perfect. My guide Henry was respectful, knowledgeable, and friendly. This was my second trip with JDA and once again I am so pleased I am planning a third.

A wonderful Cultural Tour in Lake Eyazi NP , with local tribes, and local experience at Mto Wa Mbu!
5/5

Highly recommend a customized cultural tour with Stephen, who put together an amazing tour for us making sure everything was running well at all times. The fact that he chose his best driver/tour guide Frank as well as a local guide made our trip a unique experience. Vfisiting the Datoga people, a blacksmith tribe as well as the oldest tribe, the Hadzabe, hunters and gatherers still living in Lake Eyasi NP was the highlight for me. Learning how to grind corn, sculpting wooden items and experiencing local community projects at Mbo Wa Mbu, close to Lake Manyara NP was just fantastic!
My tour met all my expectations!! And I became friend with my wonderful guides. Enjoy your visit!

Beautiful park, lots of birds although fewer game. The Flamingo Hills camp we stayed in was luxurious and perfect for encountering rare birds on the verandah of your tent.

The giant elephants here are famous and it is worth getting up early for a chance to see Mt Kilimanjaro before the clouds descend.
Bird lovers in particular, this is a must-see. The wetlands are unique and SO many rare species are here to see, including rare heron, sacred ibis and other wetland birds.
