amazing experience, everyone did their best to to make sure the experience went as best as possible. Starting from Irene, who organize the tour, to the drivers, the chef and the guide who did an amazing job. Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater and materuni must to be seen once in a lifetime.. or even more!

Emmy was professional pleasant helpful always with a smile on his face! Excellent guide!
5/5

We were greeted at each airport and guided through the various airports and through customs as well. It was very helpful as some places were really complicated. Great to be in lounges while we were waiting too. The Genocide Museum and gorilla trek are must sees in Rwanda. Our tour guide was excellent and really made our first time and first country in Africa a memorable experience!

Amazing Safari Experience in Kenya with Apodiformes Adventures
5/5

Fredrick was our main contact when organizing our trip to Kenya. From the beginning, he was very clear with all the information and quick to respond — most of the time, we received replies the same day. He provided us with a detailed itinerary based on the destinations we wanted to visit, and his communication was always attentive and professional. Even during the trip, he checked in with us to make sure everything was going well, which we really appreciated. Fredrick offers excellent customer service — he’s honest, clear, and always ready to answer any questions. All hotel bookings and check-ins went smoothly, and he sent us confirmations ahead of time, which gave us peace of mind.

Sebastian was our driver during the safari. He was always punctual and followed the planned itinerary, but also showed great flexibility. As often happens on safari, plans may change depending on how tired you are or how long you want to observe animals. We talked with Sebastian about making small adjustments to the schedule, and he was always open and helpful in reorganizing things.

Sebastian wasn’t with us during the hot air balloon activity because the tour included transportation from our hotel early morning, but he had told us not to worry and that he would find us afterward. Sure enough, after we had finished our breakfast out on the savannah, there he was — right on time and exactly where we needed him. When Sebastian tells you not to worry and that he’ll find you, he really means it.

He also handled all meal and timing coordination with the hotels, and you could clearly see his experience in navigating the parks. He always knew the best spots and angles to give us front-row views of the animals and enough time to take photos and enjoy the moment.

This was my first safari, and thanks to Apodiformes, it was an amazing experience. My advice: tell them what kind of animals, parks, or experiences you’re looking for, and they’ll build the perfect plan for you.

Just keep in mind that safaris involve dusty and bumpy roads — it’s part of the adventure. But once you see the animals up close, it’s all absolutely worth it!

Excellent choice for creating a perfect family safari experience
5/5

I would highly recommend Spirit of Kenya. Having read so many positive reviews during my research my expectations were high and I’m pleased to say they were met.
This is what they promise and deliver -
“Every safari is unique, let us design your journey to make it truly extraordinary and tailor made to your expectations and budget.” I had many emails to Jorge and Gerardo during the planning of the trip and they were very helpful and patient in helping to create the perfect itinerary for my family. From the moment we were met at Nairobi airport everything was seamless. Our guide, Boniface, was exceptional. He was an excellent driver, knowledgeable, personable and very experienced at finding animals. He was available from before sunrise to after sunset so we had plenty of time to see and track animals. We visited the Masai Mara and stayed at Mara Sopa Lodge and Malaika Camp providing different experiences and I would happily recommend both and 100% recommend Spirit of Kenya.

Very good communication and accurate description of tour.

We did a quick 2 day tour of Amboseli in August 2025. Picked us up around 7:30am the first day in Nairobi, then about a 4-5 hour drive to a camp site near the park gate. There was one stop on the way for coffee and bathroom, at a touristy store / rest area. Upon arrival at camp, we got set up in our tent and then had lunch after. Overall campsite experience was great, there were power outlets and WIFI all working fine. There was also phone signal the entire time. The food provided at camp was also really good. Around 3:30-5:30pm there was a game drive on day 1, followed by Dinner around 7pm. Day 2 we had breakfast around 7:30am and from 8-10am went for a second game drive. After the game drive, we started the return to Nairobi with another stop for lunch (this time, lunch was not included). Driver stopped at a fancy store place with restaurant and bathrooms. By 5pm we were back in Nairobi on day 2. Overall it was amazing experience, and we got to see many zebras, elephants, giraffes, wildebeests, monkeys, but only 1 lion on the first day. It really depends on several factors. Also, the view from the campsite to mount Kilimanjaro is not guaranteed. First day it was cloudy and not visible at all. Second day was only partially visible in the early hours 7-8am, then it got cloudy again. There were also extra activities you could do, such as early morning walk day 2 with a Masai person outside the campsite and also visit a Masai village. Both of these were extras and cost about $20 USD per person each, we chose not to do it.
