We loved our guide David! We could see that he loves his job and that he knows a lot about animals and the best places to visit. It was really interesting and beautiful!

Martin fulfilled our Safari dream
4/5

We toured Uganda on Safari for 12 days in January with Martin, who now owns and operates Wagatil. We confidently recommend his services as a skilled planner and knowledgeable guide of Uganda. Martin was excellent in his daily communication with us and often made recommendations that enhanced our Safari. We saw everything we wanted to see and more, and learned so much about Uganda, it's people, and of course the animals. We particularly enjoyed the two days of gorilla tracking, and Martin ensured we got to track a different family each day. Martin even arranged a fabulous tour for us to go see the Shoebill stork and we saw a mating pair! Martin is friendly, dependable, and safe. We trusted him completely and highly recommend his safari services.

Very beautiful
4/5

Overall, we had a very good stay. Everything was done to make the trip enjoyable. Here are, in my opinion, the positive and negative points.

Positive points:
- Beautiful parks, we were very lucky since we saw many animals including 4/5 of the big five
- The landscapes were beautiful in every way: savannah, Kilimanjaro...
- The hotels were perfect: view, restaurant, pool... everything was gathered to spend a pleasant stay
- The exchange with Pauline was great, she booked us a program adapted to our expectations
- Peter, the guide, was very kind and knew many things about animals
- The guide gave us a pleasant surprise: we had the chance to discover Masai Mara on foot in order to observe crocodiles and hippos
- The guide was a very good driver regardless of the terrain we used
- Peter took us to the typical Massai village, we could discover their customs and it was very enriching from a cultural point of view

Negative points:
- Peter was regularly late, and did not bother to warn us
- Transfer times entered in the program were not real, distances between locations are very long (sometimes double what was written)
- Peter was regularly tired, especially in the afternoon, which made the safari less enjoyable. We were afraid that he would fall asleep at the wheel and had to be vigilant.... We told him about this problem several times.

To conclude, we highly recommend this company which has many assets.

Thank you to the whole team for letting us discover your beautiful country.

A nice safari introduction among the baobabs
Overall rating
4/5

We had a fantastic experience on the first day of our safari in Tarangire. In retrospect it didn't compare to Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Lake Manyara, but I still think it was a good safari starting park. Here we spent a long time marveling at seeing our first giraffes, our first elephants, and our first lions, but they definitely aren't present here in quite the numbers as the other parks. A part of this could be because we came in green season in February; Tarangire is much more ideal in the dry season compared to the other parks which are good in all seasons.
That being said, Tarangire did have some things that the other parks didn't have. In terms of scenery, it has a ton of really impressive baobab trees! We saw a whole lion pride walking right past our car (in other parks the prides were sleeping and when we saw lions on the move it was usually just 1-2 of them). We saw ostriches up close while in other parks we only saw them far away. We also saw a lot of vervet monkeys, while in other parks it was usually one at a time. This is the only place we saw hyraxes and the northern red billed hornbill.
Overall, it's worth a visit, I assume especially if you go in the dry season, but it'd be okay to skip it if you're short on time.

Great travel destination, Tanzania. Chilly nice weather in Arusha with Safari trips, sunny island beach vibes in Zanzibar, urban living in Dar Es Salaam.
3 places/experiences to have visiting Tanzania.
Furaha Tours did a great job with a good guide Gamma. Saw 4 out of the big 5 during my tour of Ngorongoro crater, Tarangire & Lake Manyara.
Tanzania seems generally safe.
Machala at Kendwa beach provides great jet ski service too. Great guy

Most affordable tour operator I found
4/5

I took an budget tour of masai mara, nakuru and amboseli for 6 days.
It was cheaper compared to other operators.

Stay. Basic bed and food. No complaints bcoz I don't seek luxury

Safari. Joseph was an amazing tour guide he was with us for 4 days. Land cruiser had no complaints.

They club as much people to make it cheaper for everyone. I had no issues with sharing. Also when everyone itinerary is different you get changed to other vehicles. Again it doesn't matter everything went smooth. Only thing was proper communication about everything. Anyways I didnt mind.

Overall a good option for budget travel

A very pleasant and well planned program.
4/5

This was a very good trip, well planned, nice meals and a guide who knew everything about the national parks. The camps were nice and clean. You don’t have to worry about anything. The only thing to be aware of, is tipping. Some are expecting to be tipped, especially the cook and the guide. Otherwise a great trip.

A good first safari experience
4/5

Efficient and responsive communication throughout. We chose a budget tour to see Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorogoro. The tour was a bit rushed towards the end and we didn't have much time to pause to take in the animals, but it was still an enjoyable experience for our first safari. I would recommend upgrading to better accommodations as they were often very basic without fans or air-conditioning and no toiletries, so you have to carry your own. We added on the hot air balloon in the Serengeti and it was an unmissable experience - a true highlight of the trip! We also really loved the cultural tour of Mto Wa Mbo and Maasai tribe at the end of our trip with our guide Baraka. It was a true insight into life in Tanzania.
