The conditions were very comfortable however a lot of things didn't go to plan
It didn't start well when we arrived at Kilimanjaro Airport at 04:00am and our Tour arrived at 07:45, when he was booked to arrive at 06:00am. He excused himself with the fact that there was an accident, but we soon understood that wasn't true, as he we was contradicting himself, and we saw no accident on the way.
The tour began and even though we saw some great animals and he made a big effort for us to see the Big 5, throughout the day there were really no explanations about anything. Everyday, he kept telling us to start around 09, and it was us pushing to start at 07 and the reason for this is that after 11 it's very tricky to see animals doing anything besides lie in the shade.
Gosheni organizes the meals with the hotels, so no sandwiches or anything like that which is great.
One topic we didn't like, Michael was constantly on his personal phone about personal issues, we know it was personal because when it wasn't he would tell us (happened once). Given that he is driving having him over 1 hour on the phone wasn't very comfortable. He has great knowledge of the park but needs to really manage this side better. He used the phone way to much for someone working.
In terms of the car, it's a comfortable Land Cruise, in our Cases the plugs they have installed didn't work, and the fridge didn't work for 2 days.

Gustaf is Fun, happy to be with and amazing
We have a very amazing experience as a first timer. From the airport to the tours all are smooth and the service is really good. We had a wonderful time during the game drives and safari tour.

Great tour, well organized
I die a Safari for 7 days as a solo traveler. (Maasai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha, Amboseli) Everything was perfectly fine. I had to change the Jeep ones which i didn‘t mind for the cheap price. One night i stayed at one hotel, while the rest of the group stayed at another which felt a little lonely. Also you have to make sure the hotels know about special diets, cause even though i told them, sometimes i got the wrong food. Apart from that it was a great Trip with great memories!

We loved it.
The safari with guide Clinton from Zara is definitely the highlight of an unforgettable summer. Everything was well planned with just the right amount of game drives, extra activities, nice lodges, and a cultural infusion of Maasai and Bushmen visits.
We saw lots of different animals in the parks ranging from elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalo, hyenas, and many other animal species.
The Serengeti is very beautiful, and the landscapes are just awe-inspiring. With Clinton with us, he knew all the places where we could see the animals we couldn't miss. We also went to Manyara and Ngorongoro, but those visits were only for a day, unlike the 4 days we spent exploring the Serengeti.

Kind team
Very kind team. Answers quickly supportive professional. It was a vet smooth experience. The price felt too high though for the national Nairobi park we paid 200 usd for me it's worth 100 to 120 max .

If by tour operator, you mean my guide for the hike, Wilman - he was awesome.
I hiked Mt. Kilimanjaro, the 8 day Lemosho route. I had an awesome team/crew who helped and carried my stuff. The food was amazing, scenery was amazing, experience was amazing. My only complaint is that I wish I had a personal toilet, I would have paid more for it.

Africa Zim Travel and Tours were helpful and pleasant to work with and we felt taken care of.
We are an extended family of 6 people (with children and seniors) travelling in Zimbabwe and Botswana and chose Africa Zim Travel & Tours for our first African experience. They were prompt in responding to our requests and when we changed the date of travel, they were very accommodating. We felt taken care on our tour. The accommodations and food were as expected based on the package we chose, which was the 8 day tour with Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and then Botswana. One thing that could be improved upon was that our transfer person became ill with a cold and didn't take precautions, therefore one of our family members missed a day's excursion because of having caught the cold, and was not well for a few days after that. The transfer person was very friendly, helpful and prompt, as were all the game drive people. We enjoyed our experience and would choose this company again.

Great guide in-depth knowledge of animals
We spent a weekend (four people, Friday to Sunday) in Mikumi National Park, and everything related to the wildlife and overall park experience was fantastic. Our guide, Louis, was truly passionate about his work. He never rushed through the park or pressured us to move on quickly. We could sit quietly in one spot for up to 45 minutes, watching impalas, marabou storks, zebras, and gnus with the engine turned off, while Louis explained their mating and foraging behaviors in fascinating detail.
He showed us lions, elephants, bulls, and giraffes—all at the same relaxed pace, sharing a wealth of knowledge at every turn. It was also amazing to learn about the savanna’s plant life: trees that produce alcoholic fruit, trees with slick bark, towering baobabs, and much more.
Louis always found the perfect spots to observe wildlife without disturbing the animals or making us feel unsafe. He answered all our questions confidently, and when he didn’t know something, he openly admitted it—something we greatly appreciated. His humility and dedication stood out and made the experience truly special.
What I liked less—though it was still acceptable—was the communication with the manager of the local safari company. We were picked up at the Morogoro train station and sent off with someone we had never met, to a camp we hadn’t been told about in advance. The camp was quite basic: the air in the lodges was musty, and the food was average. This part of the service could definitely be improved.
That said, if you ask me whether I’d recommend Zapisa African Safaris—absolutely. They have fantastic guides who are knowledgeable, respectful, and genuinely love what they do.

Dream tour with guide Kelvin
The tour in Tanzania was well planned by Serengeti clarity, except that they made a mistake in booking number of passengers for the Ngorongoro conservation area where they booked for 4 instead of 6 and as a result we lost 120 minutes, waiting in the gate. The guide, Kelvin, was very good, dedicated and hard working and very knowledgeable about all the parks. He went extra miles by taking care of us and showing us animals. It was for him that our Tanzania trip became memorable and full of excitement.

Amazing Wildlife, Average Value & Planning
My recent Masai Mara tour with Jocky Tours included some truly unforgettable moments. We were fortunate to see all of the Big Five, plus a cheetah, a rare sighting. At one point, lions even slept under our vehicle, which was surreal and easily the highlight of the trip.
However, the overall organization left much to be desired. Day 1 felt rushed and not the best planned, we stopped for lunch during a very short drive and barely entered the park. It felt more like a 1-day safari stretched out rather than a full 3-day experience.
I was also surprised to learn that I paid almost $300 more for the exact same experience compared to others in my group. That price difference felt unfair.
While the guide (Elias) was kind and helpful, he was less engaging, often moving quickly from one sighting another. It made the experience feel a bit rushed.
One thing I genuinely wondered, if it is well known that the wildebeest migration often happens early in the morning or late at night, why are the game drives scheduled during mid-day hours when migration is unlikely to be seen?
Overall, I am thankful for the incredible wildlife we encountered on Day 2, but I expected better value, clearer communication and better planning given the price I paid.
