We did a 6 night budget safari tour with Pavillion Safaris - Masai Mara, Ambolesi, Hells Gate, Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha.
Overall it was an amazing experience, decent accommodation/food.
Our guide Moses was brilliant.

Fantastic safari
We spent 6 days with James on safari. We had the time of our life! Ngorongoro and Serengeti NP were our destinations. We had the privilege of seeing so many wildlife and beautiful nature.
This was only possible with the excellent guiding of James. He is such a friendly, kind person. He had an answer to all of our questions and made us feel safe throughout the journey. He managed everything professionally and calm. We can only recommend him.

Dao and Zuberi - Generous, kind and friendly
We had such an amazing experience on safari in Serengeti and Ngorogoro Crater. We saw all the animals we were eager to see and so much more! We were so lucky to have such friendly tour guides as Dao and Zuberi who were so kind and knowledgeable. Truly an unforgettable and incredible trip!

Safari 2025
Wow, what an absolutely amazing experience! From start to finish, everything was organized perfectly and exceeded our expectations. We were able to see all of the animals we hoped for — lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and so many more.
Our guide Joshua was outstanding. He was extremely knowledgeable. The food and lodges during the safari were excellent. I highly recommend booking with Hadzabe!

Incredible 8-days Safari with the best guide Calvin
The safari was from the beginning to the end perfectly organised by the Gosheni team and especially our guide Calvin. His German is very good and he could answer all our questions about wildlife and the animals and always found us the best spot to watch them. For every lunch he found incredible places in the middle of nature and prepared everything with great attention to detail.
All the lodges we stayed at belong to the Acacia collection, the staff and tents were really lovely and the food was always very good.
Before the trip we had contact with William who always answered fast and gave us a lot of advice so the trip became exactly how we wanted it to be.
All in all we can recommend the once-in-a-lifetime Safari with Gosheni and especially with Calvin when you want a Safari with a German speaking guide, but also for English - Calvin is just so experienced, funny and kind-hearted. We had the best time with him. Asante sana!

Amazing
Loved our experience with Axis. We went as a group of friends that did different booking, but everyone was very accomodating, Monica was the one handling my trip and she did very well. We did the 3 days Masai Mara with Kevin in August, and he was amazing. He explained everything, we saw every animal you can think of and he answered every question. The food was good, with vegetarian options, and the people at camp flair were very nice, as were the tents. The only thing I would change is the fact that you have to pay separately for drinks, including water. All in all, would 10000% recommend

A perfect & unforgettable 8-day Safari experience thanks to Calvin & Gosheni!
Already in the planning process, as we were uncertain whether we should include Tarangire or Manyara in our itinerary, and did not have time for both, William was super helpful in helping us decide, using Gosheni’s local knowledge on worsened conditions in Lake Manyara NP after severe flooding a few years ago. In the end, we went for their 8 day Great Migration itinerary, including Tarangire, Ngorongoro, as well as central and northern Serengeti, flying back from Kogatende to Arusha. We would choose this same itinerary again today, it was perfect for us. The lodges booked were all by Acacia Collections, which Gosheni partners with, all of which were clean luxury lodges with exceptionally welcoming personnel, which catered to our wishes (e.g. being vegetarian) perfectly. You also support local Tanzanian businesses, as both Gosheni and their lodging partner are fully founded and operated by Tanzanians locally, and you’re not paying extra to benefit European or American investors and social media marketing, which (especially with Tanzanias colonial history) was important to us, and is far from the norm unfortunately.
Though we did not even ask them to do so, when we booked our Safari, Gosheni also matched us with one of their German speaking guides. Calvin turned out to be the perfect guide for us and made our trip truly unforgettable. Besides being clearly very experienced at driving the (very comfortable and well maintained) 4x4 vehicle, and knowing every road in the national parks inside and out, he was always intuitively putting us in great spots at the right times to notice incredible moments (he is very modest and said we were very lucky, but I’m sure some of this luck was due to him). We got to see pretty much everything - not just every single cat & “big” animal Tanzania has to offer, but also incredible scenes - a leopard hunting, cheetahs and lions with their recent prey, elephants bathing playfully and wildebeest crossing the Mara river.
The best bit to us though, was Calvin’s amazingly trained knowledge about every single bit of animal and plant biology, which he explained to us as we were observing them, and as he answered all of our questions enthusiastically, allowing us to understand why animals behave the way that they do. And during our incredible lunches in the bush, he continued to entertain all our questions about life in Tanzania the same way. Calvin really gave the Safari experience meaning, that we will be forever grateful for.
