Welcome to Botswana!!
5/5

Our group of four adults planned and booked our first safari with Mark Hathaway of Gondwana Tours and Safaris and the experience could not have been better. I selected Gondwana Tours and Safaris after an extensive review of available operators and tours in the Botswana...and after becoming fairly overwhelmed with all of the choices and decisions. Mark expertly guided us through the process by carefully listening to our preferences and choosing camps that would give us the best experience in the time we had available. All of the back and forth of decision making and questions from our end was handled promptly, thoroughly and with great patience from Mark. We were delighted with the choices that Mark had guided us towards as we traveled from Victoria Falls (Victoria Falls Hotel), Chobe (Bakwena Camp), Linyanti Region (Kwando Lebala) and in the Okavango Delta (Pom Pom). All of the transfers from camp to camp were smooth and enabled us maximum time for game drives and other activities. Our expectations, which were high we all met and then some! And the package seemed to be of very high value relative to other comparable packages. We highly recommend Gondwana Tours and Safaris and would be delighted to work with them again.

Fantastic Trip to South Africa and Botswana
5/5

My husband and I traveled to South Africa and Botswana to do 4 safaris at different camps in each country. Our experience was everything we could have hoped for and more. The safaris were fantastic and we saw all of the animals on our list and more. The guides were excellent, knowledgeable, polite, friendly and very accommodating. Every safari trip was unique and full of wildlife.
Each of the camps had wonderful accommodations and terrific food. If I have a negative comment on the trip, there was way too much food! It seemed like we were always being fed. The staff at the camps were wonderful, making sure that all of our needs were taken care of in a timely manner.
We did visit Capetown and Victoria Falls. Those trips were lovely, the hotels very nice and the guides excellent.
All in all our trip was terrific. We had a great experience, one that we will long remember.

Unforgetable Safari Experience!!
5/5

We just had the most wonderful safari experience in Tarangire NP, Manyara NP, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. We saw so many amazing things that will be in our minds forever. All of this was possible because of this organisation. We would also like to mention our driver/guide Edwin Mboya. He told us so many amazing facts and stories, both animal, experience and country related. His knowledge and driving skills made the adventure even better than it already was. We have made a new friend for life. So: Asante sana, yangu mpendwa.

We had an amazing safari in Tanzania.  Our driver Edwin was and is a fantastic driver/guide. We learned a lot from him and because of him we have seen a lot of different and special things. We will never forget this experience and would recommend it to all. If you read this: thanks a lot, Edwin Battazary Mboya!

Great booking experience
5/5

Madi from Wild Things was great putting a 4-night safari itinerary together for us at the Sabi Sands game reserve. We stayed at two different lodges, which were both equally beautiful and the game viewing was simply amazing. We could not have been happier with the communication, information provided, booking process and organization of transfers etc. We can definitely recommend Wild Safari, we had a super experience!

An amazing way to see an amazing place
5/5

This was everything a safari should be: fun, adventurous, low-stress, full of incredible animals and sights. This company really knows how to ensure that you see a variety of animals and enjoy your time in one of the most beautiful places on earth. It's really the driver who makes the experience--we saw other drivers who weren't patient enough to wait for animals to come into view or for visitors to take the photos they wanted. Our driver was kind, incredibly knowledgeable, familiar with the park and other drivers, and a fantastic host. If you are planning to come to Tanzania for safari, you will not regret going with Tanzania Choice Safaris!

Communications and preparation of the itinerary including changes due to special requests was very professional.
The 10-day safari itself exceeded all expectations by far, the service was excellent.

Never seen so many lions!
Overall rating
4/5

We stayed at the new Chobe Bush Lodge, sister accommodation to the Chobe Safari Lodge. Really nice rooms, everything still fresh and new. We went for a game drive in the morning and a boat cruise in the afternoon. We were at the gate of the park at 6 in the morning; it was still dark and very cold. I sat shivering in the vehicle, and probably the animals were still curled up in bed as well. We did see a leopard in the half-light, but not much else. That is, until we heard the lions. There were many. A pride of about 10 was chased away from their kill by another pride, and they were angry! Growling, with foam around their mouths. Now I almost couldn't hold my camera for the adrenalin rushing through my body. (I managed, though, as you can see here: ) We didn't see much game other than the lions - but it was fantastic anyhow. The boatcruise was fine as well - the sunset on the Chobe river is a beauty. However, it gets really busy with boats in the afternoon, so that bush vibe wasn't really there. Also, when you are staying in the Bush Lodge or the Safari Lodge, the boat is really big, so it can't come close to the banks. Food at the lodge was okay, though the menu promised more than was actually given. My ciabatta with mozzarella, pesto and tomato turned out to be a cheese sandwich without any pesto or mozzarella. It tasted good, but was not what I expected.

Botswana is probably more rugged than South Africa, and more tourist friendly than Zambia.
