I felt they were unprofessional.
I felt the communication was poor, and our guide was unprofessional. Our driver was at the wrong airport to pick us up, even though I had sent a screen shot clearly showing the airport we were flying into. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area's ecology, but I felt his behavior was overly attention-seeking and unprofessional. Would 100% not recommend this company. We had a vehicle breakdown at one point and joined another company's vehicle. I felt the difference in the behavior and attitude of their guide compared to ours was shocking. Both my daughter and I felt on edge and uncomfortable with our guide for the whole trip.

A fabulous experience
We got a new safari vehicle which was huge and very comfortable. Our driver 'Dickson' was a gentleman. I did feel safe with him with but the driving in Nairobi is generally quite scary!
Our first safari drive day 1 started at 4.30pm and within the first hour we saw 2 male lions sleeping!!
Day 2 Masi mara we saw more lions (5 brothers), two cheetah, Elephants up close!! Wildebeest, zebra, topi, Giraffe. It was incredible. Everything I expected and more.
The first camp was Lenchada tented camp. I loved my tent. It has an extremely comfy double bed with lots of blankets and was very clean. At the back of the tent was a full tiled bathroom. There was even hotwater for the shower! Electricity for lights comes on at 6.30pm.
After reading reviews on trip advisor about the Golden palace hotel, which was our day 3 accommodation I requested to change and I got to stay in a lovely hotel at no extra cost.
Overall everything was amazing.
My only slight negatives were I didn't feel we got much information before the safari. I was told by the man who picked us up from the hotel on day 1 and took us to the Jocky Tours office that the journey would be 3, maybe 4hours but it actually took 6!!!! Dickson never mentioned how long the drive would be.
I also was not happy that on day 3 Lake Nakuru once you got dropped at the lake, the only options was to pay extra for a boat ride $20 and $30 for a walk! If you decided not to do these you had nothing to do all day. That was very disappointing and I felt putting the customer in a difficult position to feel presured to spend more money.
I also would like to have known that despite the temperature in Nairobi being 16 degrees and cloudy and cold that once we got to the Mara it would be 26 degrees and hot. We were only told to bring warm clothes.
Overall I would recommend Jockytours and definitely do a tour with them again

A Truly Unforgettable Birdwatching Experience with David in Uganda
I recently had the pleasure of exploring Uganda’s incredible birdlife under the expert guidance of David, and I can honestly say it was one of the best birdwatching experiences I’ve ever had. David is not only exceptionally knowledgeable about Uganda’s diverse bird species, but he is also deeply passionate about sharing this knowledge with his guests.
Throughout the trip, David demonstrated outstanding professionalism and attention to detail. From organizing the daily itineraries to spotting even the most elusive species, he made every moment worthwhile. His sharp eyes and keen ears ensured that we didn’t miss any special sightings, and he was always ready to share fascinating facts and stories about the birds and their habitats.
What I appreciated most was how comfortable and enjoyable David made the entire journey. He was patient, friendly, and always attentive to everyone’s needs and interests. I felt safe, well taken care of, and fully immersed in the beauty of Uganda’s nature.
Thanks to David, I was able to see some of my dream birds and capture unforgettable memories. I highly recommend his guiding services to anyone who wants to experience Uganda’s rich birdlife in the most professional and rewarding way possible.
Thank you, David, for an exceptional adventure — I can’t wait to come ba

Our driver was Prompt, courteous, and polite. He made sure we were safe at all times.
We hired the driver for our transportation for 8 days. The price was very good. Our host never had to find him, he was always a phone call away. We very comfortable with him. Excellent service

Friendly and dependable, giving us a great safari experience
We enjoyed an amazing four-day Kenyan safari with James from Marurumi, visiting Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha and the Masai Mara, seeing a lot of lions, rhino, elephant, giraffe and more. The accommodation was good in both locations - we particularly liked the lodge associated with a nearby orphanage in Nakuru. James was really knowledgeable and took great care of us - our two children (14 and 11) enjoyed our time with him. Communication before the trip was always prompt, with all of our questions being answered. Overall, we’d thoroughly recommend Marurumi.

Our Awesome Rainforest Hike with Songbirds Safaris
Going for a hike in Kilimanjaro's rainforest with Songbirds Safaris was one of the best experiences that we had in Tanzania. Our trip to Mandara Hut along the Marangu Route was absolutely incredible. Even the constant drizzle, which could have been a real bummer, somehow just added to the magic of the whole thing, and that was all thanks to our top-notch guides, Israel and Arnold.
The rainforest itself was unreal. Huge camphorwood and yellowwood trees made this incredible roof over our heads, and their trunks were covered in moss that practically glowed in the dim light. The whole place smelled amazing—like fresh rain, dirt, and flowers all mixed together. Every now and then, we’d come to a clearing and see these giant ferns that looked like something out of Jurassic Park. In this amazing setting, our guides really made the trip special, turning a tough hike into a real connection with nature.
Israel, our lead guide, was the definition of cool, calm, and collected. He was our rock, especially when the trails got slick and muddy from the rain. He just had this easy confidence that made everyone feel safe and kept our spirits up. He handled all the planning so smoothly that we didn't have to worry about a thing. We could just focus on the hike and soak in the incredible scenery, knowing we were in good hands. Israel made sure we all had a great time along the way.
And then there was Arnold. The guy was a walking, talking encyclopedia of the rainforest, and his passion was totally contagious. He wasn't just a guide; he was like the forest's storyteller. He'd stop all the time, his eyes lighting up, to show us things we would have walked right past. He pointed out the rare and beautiful Kilimanjaro impatiens. He even helped us spot a family of black-and-white colobus monkeys, which was so cool to watch as they jumped through the trees with their long, graceful tails. Arnold didn't just spit out facts; he told us the stories behind everything, from how plants work together to how local people use different barks for medicine. You could feel how much he respected this place, and it made us all feel it, too.
What could have easily been a wet, miserable hike turned into one of the best and most memorable trips we've ever taken. The combination of Israel’s chill leadership and Arnold’s fascinating stories made every single moment feel special, rain or shine. They turned a challenging trail into a fun and inspiring adventure. Getting to Mandara Hut felt like a huge accomplishment, and we learned so much on the way.
We seriously can't thank Israel, Arnold, and the whole Songbirds Safaris crew enough. They don't just take you on a hike; they create an experience you'll never forget. Their attention to detail and the genuine passion of their guides are a winning combination. If you really want to get to the heart of what makes the Kilimanjaro rainforest so amazing, we can't recommend them enough.

Amazing
Everything was well organized from beginning to end. Upon arrival in Mikumi, we were taken care of by a guide who knows the animals well and, most importantly, respects them. We saw many species — those that nature chose to reveal to us. It was an incredible experience, something to live at least once in a lifetime. The meal was also very good.

Unforgettable experience
I signed up for a 2-night, 3-day safari tour from Arusha. I was a little worried because I signed up for a shared budget tour by myself, but the tour was safe and comfortable in every aspect. The shuttle driver drove safely and the car was clean.
The safari guide was really professional. He did his best for the guests and made sure everyone was satisfied. And he is knowledgeable and speak many languages fluently. The cook made good food for us. I felt safe and had many wonderful experiences. I would like to go on a safari for bird watching next time. I will definitely use Kale Voyage Expedition again.
