We loved our experience with Karis ExpeditionsOur tour guide Knatona was so friendly and attentive.
5/5

Thank you to Saida who was always available and ready to provide us with all the necessary details. She also went above and beyond and took us to the Arts Market and ensured we were very well taken care of. We also had a great experience with Kantona, his positive energy made the tours so enjoyable. If I knew about Karis expeditions before I would have booked all my tours with them. Thank you so much to the great team.

very bad
1/5

I had a very disappointing experience with Rajatours (Tanzania side). The coordination was extremely poor from the start — our itinerary was changed almost every day without clear communication. Hotels were consistently downgraded from what was originally promised. The package was supposed to include all meals and drinking water, but that was not the case. We barely had any drinking water during the day, and on some evenings, dinner was not provided at all.

What made things worse was the lack of transparency. We never knew which hotel we were staying in until late in the day, and they were always of lower quality than agreed upon. The worst part of the trip was when our group of six was moved from a proper safari vehicle to a small, cramped car simply because no guide was needed that day. Four of us had to squeeze into the backseat with our luggage on our laps — it was completely unacceptable.

This was not the standard we expected or paid for. Rajatours needs serious improvement in communication, logistics, and customer care. I would not recommend this experience to others unless the company takes meaningful steps to improve its service.

A brutal safari
5/5

We felt right at home, but surrounded by animals 😂 We saw tons of wildlife, including elephants just a meter away, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, vultures, and even a hyena. It was an unforgettable experience, and everything was very well organized. A huge thank you to Rafiki Tembo Tours for making it possible!

Disappointing Experience – Poor Organization and Lack of Transparency

I booked a 9-day, 8-night trip to Kenya and Tanzania for a group of 6 people, and partially paid the deposit since February. The package was supposed to include all accommodations and meals throughout the trip. While everything in Kenya went smoothly, the experience in Tanzania was extremely disappointing.
• On the day we entered Tanzania, I was suddenly informed by RajaTour (the operator) that all our previously selected and confirmed hotels had been changed — without any prior notice. I was only told after we had already arrived in the country.
• The guide was unexpectedly switched to a new person who seemed confused and unfamiliar with the route. It took us 1–2 hours just to find the hotel on the first day.
• The hotels were downgraded, with the excuse that our original 4-star hotels were “fully booked”, despite our early reservation and deposit.
• For the last two days, the vehicle was changed from a proper 4x4 safari car to a small Toyota Noah — again, without any prior agreement. Not ideal for a safari trip, especially when traveling with luggage.
• On the final night, we were suddenly told that dinner was not included, despite the package clearly stating that all meals were covered.

I had to chase and negotiate with the operator every single day just to get the basics of what we had already paid for. It was exhausting and took away from the experience.

If you’re planning a trip and want peace of mind, I would suggest not to book with Rajatour.

This should have been a memorable and enjoyable trip — instead, we were left frustrated and disappointed. For the price we paid, we certainly didn’t deserve this kind of treatment.

The tour is excellent value for money. The guide is one of the best I've ever had. The cars used on the tour are comfortable, and the hotels are very pleasant.

Premium Service w/ Incredible Experiences from Beginning to End!
5/5

Gorilla Safari Consultants provided a world-class experience! Our guide, Steve, was absolutely amazing and I wouldn’t want to tour with anyone else! If you can, ask for Steve!!!

When we landed in Kigali we were informed by the airline that our bags were left behind at the last airport and wouldn’t arrive until 2pm the next day. Steve was scheduled to pick us up at 8:30am and all of our gorilla trekking gear was in our checked luggage! We messaged Lynda at GSC and she happily accommodated a 2:30pm pickup for us. All our worries subsided.

From the moment Steve picked us up we had an incredible experience. We felt very safe and confident with Steve behind the wheel and at our side. He is very knowledgeable about Uganda and Rwanda and share many interesting details about the culture, history, agriculture, and more. He was flexible, accommodating and we truly felt his genuine concern was for us to fully enjoy our experience!

For example, we had an amazing evening Safari at Queen Elizabeth Park but didn’t get to see any lions. Steve exceeded our expectations and took us out again the following morning and we saw 4 beautiful lions!

And the highlight of the trip was the gorilla trekking. To be so close to the gorillas was simply magical, there are no real words to describe the feeling. We felt safe the entire time as we stared in awe at these amazing creatures.

The accommodations were great also. Clean beds, great food and unbelievable views!

Overall we were thoroughly satisfied and would certainly call GSC for our next East African adventure! (And did I mention how awesome Steve was? 😅🤩)

Best company out there!
5/5

This group of people knows what they are doing! I was lucky to go on a 7-day hike with this great bunch of people to the top of Kilimanjaro. We made it, and all thanks to Nortaz Safari!! They did what they could to make sure we made it to the top, but they also made sure this was a trip to remember - with dancing, great food, good talks and lots of laughter. This crew took such good care of us and they knew what they were doing. So if you want to go to Zanzibar, on a safari or to the top of Kilimanjaro - this is the company you should chose!

An unforgettable experience in the heart of the savannah!

The Masai Mara safari was undoubtedly one of the most exciting trips of my life. From the very first moment, we were welcomed by an expert and passionate guide, who accompanied us on a journey of discovery through breathtaking landscapes and incredible wildlife.

We were fortunate enough to see the Big Five in just a few days, as well as thousands of wildebeest during the Great Migration—a unique spectacle! Each game drive was different and full of surprises, with magical moments at sunrise and fiery sunsets over the savannah.

The lodge was immersed in nature, yet with every comfort: friendly staff, delicious food, and attention to detail at every step.

I recommend the Masai Mara to anyone who wants to experience an authentic African adventure, filled with powerful emotions and memories that will last a lifetime.

I can't wait to return!

Tanzania Safari Deluxe Tours organized everything beautifully for us.
5/5

Our trip to Serengeti National Park with Tanzania Safari Deluxe Tours was one of the best experiences of our lives. Our guide George was experienced and very knowledgeable about the wildlife. When thousands of wildebeest and zebras walked together in the vast grasslands of the Serengeti, it felt like we were watching a live National Geographic show.
We were lucky enough to see all the Big Five animals—lions, elephants, cheetahs, rhinos, and buffaloes. The guide gave us detailed explanations about each animal. The feeling of watching the sunrise on a balloon safari in the morning was incredible.
The overnight camping was safe and comfortable. Sitting in the middle of the Serengeti at night and hearing the calls of hyenas made our hair stand on end. Tanzania Safari Deluxe Tours organized everything for us beautifully.

I had a fantastic safari experience with Nowtaz Tours. Safari was high on my bucket list and now I can not only cross it off but also say that I have learned a lot about Tanzanian wildlife and nature, thanks to our guide Paul.
