Good communication, understanding and knowledgable
5/5

First time I coming to Kenya and I heard great things about the Masai Mara. I connected with Ezekiel through WhatsApp and his communication was very good. We agreed a $900 USD to the Masai Mara which included a ballon ride - 3 days, 2 nights. It was a lot of money to spend so I was hopeful it would be worth the money. I did a group tour and I shared a jeep with 6 other tourists. It was a long 6 hr ride to the Masai Mara and had a few stops along the way for bathroom, food and shopping. The last 2 hours are extremely bumpy so be prepared. Our accommodation situation was tented and I shared with another guy from Korea. It was very basic accommodation but the food was fine and I slept well, just don’t expect 5 star rooms. The Masai Mara itself was fantastic and we saw every animal apart from the Rhino. The hot air balloon trip was just over an hour with a beautiful breakfast laid out after. Without doubt the staff make the trip special as the Kenyan people are very kind hearted and nice. Food was good quality. The final day we visited a Masai Village which was a beautiful experience fe to learn more about the Masai people and their way of life. They were kind and appreciative. My only advice to people to to bring a few warm layers as mornings can be chilly and don’t pack too heavy either as you’re pretty much wearing the same clothes the hole time. Bring shampoo too, sunscreen and if you are a photographer bring a lens that can zoom in a lot.

Safari experts with local knowledge and attention to detail
5/5

I came across Long Way Expeditions from responsibletravel.com when looking for a travel provider that was local and eco-conscious. We promptly heard from Ann, one of the owners, and after providing our requested length of a private safari trip and the sights we hoped to see, she quickly generated a thorough itinerary. Unfortunately, our trip fell during some political unrest so we had to quickly change dates and Ann handled that like a pro.

Upon arriving to Tanzania, we were greeted at the airport by Amil, our tour guide for the duration of the safari. We really enjoyed Amil's enthusiasm, guidance, and knowledge sharing throughout the trip. We also met Ann on the first day to brief us on the itinerary and again at the end where we had lunch with her and her co-owner/husband Abu to debrief the trip. I thought this was a lovely way to end the trip and also ensure they take in feedback.

The actual safari was a once in a lifetime experience. Definitely be prepared for long days in the truck and we also highly recommend to bring a camera beyond your phone camera to capture amazing pictures. We saw the Big 5 and a multitude of other animals across three different parks. We also enjoyed seeing the local villages during our drive. We did decide to stop at a Masai village but would probably skip that as these roadside ones are known for high entrance fees and forced souvenir sales which we experienced. We'd also warn the large souvenir markets near the parks are extremely overpriced and it is worth waiting until you get to Arusha.

The standard of the accommodations we stayed in were great. From glamping in the Serengeti to lodges in Arusha, each place was beautiful, had great service, and delicious food. Overall we loved Tanzania and would travel with Long Way Expeditions again!

Amazing trip and Makasa made it happen!
5/5

From the beginning Makasa provided an unforgettable experience. Our week long trip was well organized. We loved our guide, Kelvin! He was full of information, was an awesome animal spotter, and made everyday wonderful. We loved being present for the wildebeest migration and saw all the animals we had hoped to. Truly the vacation of a lifetime! The accommodations they suggested were perfect. Thank you Selma and Zara!

Excellent from the initial query, right through the end of the tour.
5/5

When we were booking the safari, both Vee and Kate were very helpful and quick to respond. Just prior to our arrival in Kenya, they set up a What's App group so if we had and queries or problems we could contact them. The information about the pick-up was correct and Maxwell proved an excellent driver and tour guide with a great knowledge of Kenya and the wildlife.
The transport was good and there were enough stops on the journey.
Accommodation and food was good and we were greeted and looked after very well at both lodges.
We saw a wife range of animals including elephants, giraffes, a cheetah, lions and hyenas.
The visit to the Masai village at the end was very interesting as was the Giraffe Conservation Centre.
It was lovely to meet Vee and Kate in person at the end of the trip to check all was well and we had enjoyed the trip.

Highly recommended. Thank you.

Great memory in Kenya, Simon is well guided and reliable driver, although he normally has few words and silent but he is in charge all the things and tried his best to find animals, we’re lucky to see hunting twice!

I highly recommend everyone to travel with Serengeti Precious Safaris!
5/5

From February 9 to 12 we were with them on a four-day safari in Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngoro-Ngoro, flying from Zanzibar. The organization of the transfer was impeccable, the food was very good, the nights - in clean and well-equipped lodges. Special thanks to our guide Ima (Imanuel) for his wonderful sense of humor, caring and knowledge of the animals and nature of Africa!

Chasing Giants: A Safari Beyond Our Wildest Expectations
5/5

This safari was, without question, one of the best tours—one of the best vacation experiences—I’ve ever had. We came in with an ambitious checklist of nearly 20 animals we hoped to see (optimistic, I know!), and somehow we saw all but two. Truly incredible.
Of course, seeing the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo—is a bucket-list moment for many people, and we were lucky enough to experience that. But if I’m honest, I was just as thrilled—maybe even more so—every time we spotted giraffes. And we saw so many of them. There’s something surreal about watching giraffes move across the landscape so effortlessly, especially when you’re seeing them in the wild.
A huge part of what made this safari so exceptional was our guide, Ally. With 15 years of experience, it absolutely showed. He had an uncanny ability to spot animals from remarkable distances—things the rest of us would have completely missed. His driving skills were equally impressive, expertly navigating muddy terrain without getting us stuck (no small feat!). Beyond that, his relationships with other guides meant we were always in the know about where animals had last been seen. That kind of collaboration made a real difference in maximizing our sightings.
The lodging was spectacular and elevated the entire experience. On our first night, from our tent alone, we watched six giraffes across the river at sunset—an unforgettable moment that felt almost unreal. The second night’s hotel was second to none; I’m honestly not sure why it wasn’t rated five stars. The comfort, setting, and service were outstanding and provided the perfect balance to the adventure of the days.
Every detail—from the wildlife sightings to the guiding expertise to the accommodations—came together seamlessly. This wasn’t just a safari; it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that somehow exceeded even our highest expectations.
