Trip of a Lifetime!!
5/5

Jumbo, Jumbo...This was our first Safari and cannot not imagine another "future" trip we may plan to another location that could exceed our expectations as much as this one. Starting from scratch, I discovered there are many, many tour operators from which to choose. I narrowed my choices based on reviews, intuition and response to my requests. In the end, what looked like a daunting task to select an operator, Ajabu Adventures made the decision easy. Their quick response to my questions (many), flexibility with our itinerary, suggestions, customer service, personal attention to our needs and wants and price were the highlights in making the decision to book our safari with Ajabu Adventures. Most importantly, when it came time to deliver, Ajabu exceeded our expectations in every way......lodging (5 star), tour guide (PAUL!!!), attractions, surprises, rare finds (attributed to Paul), culture and life and on and on. In fact, along the journey, we met some wonderful people and shared in many of the African customs. Our 9 day itinerary was just enough to want us to consider a return for the 25 day adventure in the future. Highly recommend two nights in the bush (tent camp) and part of a day with a Maasai Tribe community. Anja and her team, and Paul as our tour guide, truly provided my wife and I the trip of a life time. We have and will continue to share our experience and memories through our stories and photographs with friends and family. Asante sana Ajabu Adventures!

Recommending Africa Remote Safaris
5/5

We want to thank you for this great safari!
We had a wonderful stay in Kenya and Tanzania.( with Zanzibar)
Your organization was perfect, at no time we were disappointed. Except for the short delay at the border, not your fault of course. We saw landscapes, animals and made many friends along the way. We shall never forget Mto wa Mbu.

During all our safari we met 3 great guides, true professionals:
Agoi in Kenya
Shaff in Tanzania
Mwalima, our guide for Zanzibar spice tour.
A big thank you to these 3 people they were patient and always listening to us and always available for us. They have incredible knowledge of animals, the country and its cultures.
Regarding accommodations, Ol Moran Camp in Maasai Mara, Serenet Lodge on Lake Victoria, and Tingitana Ndutu Camp were execellent, better than some hotels in here in London! The food was very good,
Thank you to all the team of Africa Remote safaris for making this Safari a memorable experience for us.
THANK you! we are very happy.

Good organized and good value for money
5/5

We went on a three-day Safari in Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, and Tarangire. The safari was very well organized and the plan designed according to our needs. OutOr your guide, Hamsa, was really nice and knew a lot about the places and animals. When there were questions he couldn't answer, he would consult his guide book and give us the information. The camping place was good and we really liked the food. It was quite calm, which gave us the opportunity to relax after the Safari. Peter was always friendly and ready to help us with the planing and answering our enquiries. We were very satisfied with the whole experience.

Great service
5/5

It's was a great journey and the price of the package is very reasonable. The lodges I stay was fancy! The same package from other company is about $1k to $2k more, but not guarantee better service. It's a good choice agency.

African Safari
5/5

We travelled to South Africa and Zimbabwe. The stress was taken away from the planning as everything including flights were booked by my agent. The trip was very enjoyable and everything was extremely organized, removing the potential stress. Highly recommend.

A Great Tour of Beautiful Uganda
5/5

I booked travel to the Source of the Nile and ATV Safari with a stop at Ssezibwa Falls. It was an exceptional day and more than what I expected. A guide at every stop that was very informative and very welcoming. Eric my driver also took his time to point out interesting landmarks and educate me on Uganda. Eric was awesome company, very personable and I felt very safe the whole day. Great experience and highly recommend this trip if you just have one day.

Another amazing stay in Tanzania!
5/5

After 8 years my second visit to Tanzania, what a beautiful nature and country!! Both visits perfectly organized by Magda of Flash Safaris. The guide of our trip Adam was the best. He knew the perfect spots, he had humor and had eyes of an eagle. Even from a far distance he could recognize the animals. We were lucky to see all of the big Five! We visited the Serengeti (including a balloon safari, great experience), Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Tarangira National Park and for some relaxation a stay at Africa Amini Maasai lodge to experience and meet the Maasai. This was a really special and magnificent place, with a perfect sunrise over mount Kilamanjaro!! We also had the possibility to meet Christine Wallner and her daughter the founders of this project, they are really great!!Real woman power! Magda, Edward an Adam Thanks for another great Tanzania experience!! Till next time!!

A superb birdwatching trip with an excellent guide and driver who looked after our every need.
5/5

A great tour with amazing boat trips and well planned walks to give a really great and close views of the birdlife and close encounters with the animals. The tour was everything I could have hoped for and it will live long in the memory. I found Deo's knowledge of the bird's to be superb and it was a pleasure to share his enthusiasm. Brian drove our van really well and he too helped find birds for our party.

5/5

We had an absolutely fantastic time and apart from the annoying tse tse flies in Tarangire everything was perfect and punctual. Safarihub offered us a great service.

We still talk daily about this fantastic trip!!!
5/5

We decided to book with Duma after reading Tripadvisor reviews and exchanging e-mails with Duma and a few other tour operators out of Arusha. We felt Duma best offered the type of trip we were looking for, and were easiest to work with, compared to other tour companies we contacted. We not only got the trip we had dreamed of, but even more than we anticipated. A friend of mine who had been on safari in Tanzania a couple of times, plus several other African safaris, suggested an itinerary that focused mainly on the Serengeti, and less (or no) time at other standard places to see. Stacy not only worked with us on that itinerary, but made suggestions that enhanced our plans. We wanted to splurge to do a balloon ride one day, but were willing to sacrifice in other areas to keep our budget in line. Stacy was fantastic at getting to understand us, and make appropriate suggestions for us, to allow us to do just that. Also, we had done a lot of research on Tripadvisor about the various camps in the Serengetti, Tarangire, and the Ngorongoro Crater. Stacy adapted our plans so that we could stay at the camps we felt strongly about, and provided what proved to be sound advice, about some of the other camps we considered. She was even able to get us into a particular tent at one camp - one that was farthest from the dining area, with a view unavailable to other tents. For the record, we stayed in Tarangire at the Tarangire Safari Lodge, we stayed in Serengeti at Duma's Chaka camp, Buffalo Luxury Camp, and Lemala Mara camp, and lastly at Ngorongoro Crater we stayed at the Sopa Lodge.

Being a rather anal engineer, I had many detailed questions about all kinds of things that would pop into my head during our planning, and then after our booking. I am used to planning for contingencies in my job, and many of my questions had to do with oddball "what if" scenarios. We booked our trip in Feb 2014, and until we arrived in Arusha in Oct 2014, I was sending Stacy these types of questions, which she always answered promptly and pleasantly.

Once we landed at Kilimanjaro Airport, the rest of our two weeks in Tanzania was as worry free as could be. Everything went as smoothly as possible. The accommodations were amazing. I gained weight at every camp, because the food was so good (the soups as the first course of most meals was incredible). Duma even made sure we had very little rain during the rainy season!

But, the main reason we booked a safari was to see wildlife, and boy did we see wildlife!! Our terrific guide was Michael Mlolo; a guide with 30 years of experience! He was not only a great guide for the big game (we saw over 100 lions, 11 cheetahs, 5 leopards, and 4 rhinos), but he knew every bird that we saw, and was patient spelling the names so that my wife could write these names down. When we got home, we started going through our photos and tagging them with the different species - we have not found a single instance where Michael's identification does not match what we confirmed on the Web. Michael is a very kind man, but also very protective. And, although we did not leave fluent in Swahili, Michael would always share Swahili words for things with us (Duma for instance is the word for Cheetah!). I'm sure there are plenty of good guides at Duma, but Michael Mlolo must certainly be the best one!! Absolutely, if we ever make it back to Tanzania, we will book with Duma, and request our new friend Michael to be our guide again.
