Once in a lifetime memory!
Our experience with Safari Goats was absolutely unforgettable! From the very start, Grace and Cilas went above and beyond to make sure our group felt comfortable, welcomed, and excited for the adventure ahead. They were not only incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife and landscape but also genuinely passionate about sharing it with us.
Grace was warm and engaging, always ready to answer our questions with a smile, while Cilas impressed us with his deep understanding of animal behavior and the local environment. Together, they made every moment feel special — whether it was spotting elusive animals, explaining fascinating details about the ecosystem, or making sure we were safe and cared for at every step.
Their hospitality was exceptional, and their enthusiasm made the entire safari come alive. We left feeling inspired, informed, and grateful for such an authentic experience. Amazing Safari tour for the first time, brian indigo the best tour guide
I have just returned from our safari, and we are still struggling to find the words to describe how truly magical this experience was. From start to finish, every detail was impeccably handled by the Savanah Woods team.
Our guide, Brian, was an absolute superstar. His knowledge of the wildlife, ecosystems, and local culture was astounding. He had a keen eye for spotting animals we would have easily missed, from a leopard perfectly camouflaged in a tree to a herd of elephants silently crossing the path. He wasn't just a driver; he was a passionate conservationist who made every game drive an exciting adventure.
The accommodations were fine, a budget but not compromised one. The lodges were comfortable, the food was delicious, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
We saw the Big Five and so much more. But beyond the incredible animal sightings, it was the little moments—the silence of the landscape, the brilliance of the stars at night, the warmth of the people—that truly captured our hearts.
I felt safe, well-cared-for, and completely immersed in the beauty of Africa.

It was a good experience, but I think the organization could have been better!
They didn’t provide the 5-day safari itinerary in advance. While I was already on the tour, I was informed that I wouldn’t be spending two nights in the Serengeti, and if I chose to, there would be an extra charge of US$145. Other than that, the guide Peter did an excellent job, the chef prepared delicious meals, and I was lucky enough to see many animals!
However, the car broke down one day, and we had to wait over three hours for it to be repaired. On another day, we waited almost two hours at the park entrance due to documentation issues.

Fast and clear communication
We had good communication with Gems of Africa beforehand. The price was reasonable and our stay at Bakubung was very good. Beautiful lodge, good food, and wonderful game drives in Pilanesberg. We even saw elephants at the lodge!

Fantastic experience - would absolutely recommend
We (3 of us) booked on a group tour departing Nairobi for 5 nights and we had the most incredible time with Papa John as our driver. He was informative from start to end, joined in on our chats and also gave us a lot of information about Kenyan culture too. He made such a great effort to make sure we always had the best view of all of the animals, and we saw the most incredible sights. The big 5 were all ticked off, along with so much more wildlife. A huge thankyou to Papa John for pointing out so many things we wouldn’t have spotted , and for being kind and funny along the way. We’d 100% recommended this safari and Papa John, and are so grateful for an unforgettable experience. 5*, thankyou

Everything ran perfectly and our guide was INCREDIBLE.
Where to start… from the offset, we were charmed by Papa Johns energy and humour, the journeys between camps were made interesting with the knowledge and experience shared by our wonderful guide Papa John. We were incredibly lucky to see all the big 5, leopards and cheetahs too. Breathtaking adventure, wonderful wildlife and a charming, brilliant guide that made the trip a once in a lifetime experience.
