Tanzania Safari
5/5

Alym from EAWA was very responsive and flexible when booking our trip to Tanzania. His recommendations were very good, and everything was well organized while on the trip. The various guides and drivers were friendly and made travelling effortless. It was easy to get in touch with Alym at any time. I would highly recommend booking through EAWA to anyone!

Chobe camping safari
5/5

Lelobu safaris arranged all our transfers to and from Livingstone. The Chobe boat cruise was a great way of experiencing the game. Our accommodation, guide and vehicle was all at a high standard for a budget type of trip.

Best Part of our South Africa Visit!!!
5/5

We could not have been happier with our safari experience! We chose to do tent camping. The sleeping arrangements were very comfortable. Waking to the different bird sounds was wonderful. Chris is quite a chef and all our our meals were delicious! We even made it a challenge for him and specified 'gluten free diets'.
I don't think our experience in the park and surroundings could have been any better. We had a view that no one else could have. It was nice to be able to interact and move around inside 'Truck Norris' with all the creature comforts. Chris and his daughter, Ginny, were so knowledgeable about all in the park. There wasn't one bug, bird or animal they didn't have a wealth of information on. With their expertise, we were able to see the "Big Five" and so much more. They knew just where to go and what to do and were some of the nicest people I've met.

I have to say, our safari was a great value! If we were to have gone on our own, I don't believe we would have spent any less money. I would arrange to go with Chris again in a heartbeat and would recommend him to anyone wanting a wonderful, fulfilling experience. For us it was perfection!!!

For us it was perfect

What an adventure!
5/5

We traveled with Armadillo Overland for a 7 day camping safari in the Kruger in the last week of January.

The route is well thought out. It's a good mix of different activities and animal sightings and Chris tailored the route based on what we were interested in seeing.

You will not only get to spot wild animals but also learn a lot about their behavior, characteristics, society. As Chris is passionate about birds you will also get to be more aware of them and how they fit into the eco system, and that adds a nice twist to the trip.

In general Chris took very good care of us, being both guide, driver and chef. We missed his home-cooked meals for the rest of our ZA-trip.

Moreover, the truck really is ideally set up for the safari, giving you the best of both worlds: comfort and convenience (comfy seats, cool drinks, bathroom, a library of reference books) as well as great viewing (the height let's you see animals other vehicles can't, sliding windows gives you the sounds and picture-taking advantages of an open vehicle).

The camping was basically "glamping" in nice stand-up tents on well-maintained camp sites. It was very pleasant to sleep in the tent on the comfortable mattresses.

All in all you will not be disappointed by booking a safari with this great mom-and-pop outfit. Highly recommended

With Kenya Safaris Holiday you can make the most out of your safari adventure!
5/5

Recently I had gone on a 3-days Amboseli game reserve safari.
The communication was very good throughout the entire trip, the guides always kept us informed about the travel plan and time frames.
The guides are very competent and have eyes for the details. They even carry a species reference book during the game drive. I had never seen a guide doing that before.
The accomodation at Kibo Safari Camp exceeded my expectations. The camp is excellent!
Furthermore the operator Kenya Safaris Holiday is very flexible in terms of organisation and transportation. There is nothing that cannot be arranged. And this is always to a reasonable price.
After all I can recommend Kenya Safaris Holiday to everyone who is looking for an adventure without having to give up a certain level of comfort.

A once in a lifetime experience that makes me wish I'm back on the caldera floor everyday.
Overall rating
4/5

It was an excellent safari drive on the caldera floor, and to our surprise, we bumped into a zebra with a hump like a camel. The Mirror (online) UK and Solent News carried this story. The floor of the crater is littered with zebras running and playing, hyenas, lioness and several other species. We even spotted a black rhino!

Overall, it was an amazing experience that I recommend to every wildlife enthusiast.

One of the best value for money locations for safari I have ever come across
Overall rating
5/5

I initially visited Kruger as an extension to another trip I was doing in South Africa so it was never my main focus. As I love to focus on wildlife photography, I contacted a company that provides guiding for such trips (Wild4 Photographic Safaris) and they set up an excellent custom trip for just myself with a guide focusing mainly around the Lower Sabie area. I have to say that having been on safari to other places (in other countries), my initial expectations for the photographic aspect of this trip weren't too high.

It all changed on the way from Skukuza airport to the camp, with the airport in Skukuza offering a fantastically easy way to access the park. Just along a single stretch of road, in less than 1 hour, we saw Lions, Elephants, and Leopards. Throughout my time spent there, it was relatively easy to find and photograph the Big 5.

What really impressed me however, was the bird sightings. The road and areas became somewhat congested when it came to sightings of Lions and Leopards which were easier to come across than I initially expected in the Kruger. Having said that most of the self-drive tourists didn't really seem to care about the other stuff, especially birds. One episode I will not forget was how we spent hours with a Juvenile Bateleur photographing it in spectacular light all by ourselves (just me, and my guide at the time - Etienne Oosthuizen). Based on my experience, I thoroughly recommend having a guide as you would otherwise end up missing the vast majority of wildlife you can potentially see.

Having stayed in a hut in the Lower Sabie, accommodation can be best described as basic. The hut itself was adequate. Small, but clean and did the job wonderfully, but the common ablutions were often left in a pitiful state by some of the other visitors to the camp (they were, however, cleaned every day by the excellent staff). As a result, I would probably recommend people consider a room with private facilities.

In conclusion, I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and it is by far the best value-for-money safari I've ever been on (even if I was all on my own!) and it ended up being an integral part of why I'm planning to visit South Africa again - this time looking forward even more to my time in the Kruger.
