Our Family's Four Day Wildlife Camping Safari Was Truly the Experience of a Lifetime!
Tanzania Choice Safaris provided a wonderful adventure for our family. Our safari experience included wildlife viewing in Tarangire and Serengeti National Parks, and in the Ngorongoro Crater, as well as a visit to Olduvai Gorge and the Shifting Sands. Brenda and Kakasii are wonderful hosts. They made us feel like honored guests, yet old familiar friends of theirs, all at the same time. Brenda is the perfect trip planner. Everything was personalized to meet our needs and the communication beforehand could not have been better. Leslie, our guide, and Moshi, our chef, are an ideal team. They were friendly and fun to be with. Leslie's knowledge of the wildlife (including not only the four-legged kind but also an amazing variety of bird species), is incredible. During our safari we soon realized that he is highly-regarded by other guides for knowing when different animals will be at a particular place. You name it we saw it - lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, water buffalo, gazelles, giraffes, hippos, wildebeests...the list goes on and on, even the extremely rare black rhinos in Ngorongoro Crater! Moshi is truly a world class chef with exceptional culinary skills. His recipes were a mouth-watering mix of tasty American and Tanzanian meals. Using a portable propane stove in a camp setting, he was able to prepare dishes that many chefs would find challenging to match in a fully-equipped kitchen.

4 day safari
We went on a 4 day Safari in Tanzania, we visited Serengeti, Ngogorongoro and Tarangire park. Everything was perfectly arranged by our contact person Peter. He helped us in finding the perfect safari schedule for us, and also booked our flights from Zanzibar and back. We were even picked up at our resort, brought to the airport, and Peter came to pick us up at the airport of Arusha. They are very flexible and proactive in providing the best experience.
As a tour guide, we had Steven. He was an excellent guide with incredible knowledge about Tanzania, the area, the animals and everything else we wanted to know. We really had a great experience and we can recommend it to everybody.
It are the small things that matter - before we headed back to the airport, I asked Peter if he knew a place to buy some nice Tanzanian coffee. He immediately came for an early pickup at our hotel, and took us to a coffee plantage. This is real good service. Thank you Peter and Steven for an experience to remember for life.

An unforgettable 3-day safari in Kruger National Park

I found Roho through a Google search of safari operators. Although there was a list of packaged safaris Ute was very good in custom designing a trip for us and handling all the logistics associated with the transfers. She was excellent in communicating information and following up on questions.
The airport hotel exceeded my expectations. The Sabi Sabi Earth lodge was first rate with the accommodations and food being first class - the game viewing was excellent in the open bush. I had lower expectations for the Ngala tented camp but was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the accommodations, the friendliness of the staff and the great rangers that they had there. If anything the game viewing was better at Ngala but part of this may have been that the main safari lodge was closed so there were only a few people in a big private reserve. All in all probably the best adventure type vacations we have taken.

The guide Simon is a tourist who moved to South Africa to do tours and it shows in his arrogant, opinionated, disrespect of the South African people (he made fun of the way they talk), disrespect of the animals (he was gleeful at the thought of witnessing a kill in stark contrast to how the local guides respectfully handled the same situation and he even defended poaching saying "poachers are just people trying to feed their families") and his disrespectful comments about americans which he repeatedly made. Kruger National Park was amazing, the South African people were wonderful-- do the tour, just do it with ANY company but this one!

John Murage from ACZ is an extraordinary person to me. During our tour in Nairobi John was always available on time and responsive to all our requests. Within a very short period, we have been able to visit different places in Nairobi town and surrounding areas. John is a very good experienced driver and guide with a good knowledge of Nairobi. He always provides clear orientation and explanation and make suggestions on how to minimize cost for accommodations, shopping and feeding. ACZ company is very professional and would like t recommend it.

Trip Of A Lifetime!
Thank you to Kathi of African Welcome Safaris, who put together a wonderful trip to South Africa for a group of friends. From the beginning, Kathi was so helpful and informative. She also answered our e-mails and made recommendations and suggestions before we even arrived. She really went above and beyond. Kathi put together such a great package that we did not have to think about anything - just enjoy ourselves. One of the highlights of our trip was our stay at Tintswalo Manor House. We were treated like royalty. We also had two wonderful tours in Cape Town with Rhys who was so knowledgeable and friendly. We cannot thank African Welcome Safaris enough for putting together this magical trip. We will talk of this trip the rest of our lives! We will recommend African Welcome Safaris to our friends and family.
