Excellent Journey with Tanzania safari Land
4/5

"Our Tanzania Safari Land journey in the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater was one of life's greatest adventures. Tanzania Safari Land went to great lengths to personalize our trip with the goal of hosting us to a FIVE STAR experience. They were extremely attentive to our interests and the staff made sure to tailor our itinerary and accommodations to meet our ever wish.
Our guide's vast knowledge of the wildlife, animal behavior, birds, topography Maasai culture and traditions was unparalleled. Captain (who is a Maasai warrior) enriched our experience beyond every expectation and dedicated himself to making sure that we had rarified game-watching experiences. The other outfitters could not believe his uncanny ability to track rare game for his clients. I could not endorse Tanzania Safari Land more highly. Our safari with Tanzania Safari Land was nothing short of a "life changer." Thank you

I thought this would be a once in a lifetime experience - but I'm definitely coming back.
5/5

The two most common catch phrases on our safari were "Wow, look at that!" and "Oh, aren't they cute". It was a truly wonderful experience and I was gob smacked at how many animals we saw and how close we were to them. Apart from a few minor issues that were easily rectified, African Ubuntu Safaris' organisation of our trip was very good. Cuan McLaren was very knowledgable, friendly and helpful. The tour guides/drivers, accommodation and food in both Kenya and Tanzania were excellent. January was a good time to travel - plenty of animals and the country side very green. The most safari trucks we saw in one area was 18 - (Serengeti - where we saw two cheetahs and a pride of 19 lions) but the guides said there can be up to 50 safari trucks in the high season. I would highly recommend African Ubuntu Safaris.

Definitely book your safari with Odirile!
5/5

Odirile is fantastic! Everything about our trip with them was great, from the planning stage right until they dropped us at our accommodation back in Maun. During booking, communications were prompt and professional and they allowed lots of flexibility to fit around our schedule. The safari itself was fantastic! BK, Parks and Onx are warm and kind, always smiling and appearing to love what they do. The food was excellent - including freshly baked bread, muffins and other treats baked over the campfire! Equipment was in good condition and comfortable. BK is probably the best driver we know - skillfully driving the very challenging roads while at the same time spotting everything from tiny birds to well camouflaged lions, leopards, etc.

Great 12-day trip with Spot Kenya Safaris
4/5

My husband and I had a great 12-day private safari with Spot Kenya Safaris in January 2015. We flew into Nairobi and went to Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Amboseli National Park, Tsavo West and Tsavo East, and then returned to Nairobi. The parks are amazing and you will not be disappointed! When we (hopefully) return in the future, we will try to go during the great wildebeest migration in August/September, as we heard that is even better!

We were very happy with Spot Kenya's responsiveness during the planning phase and its willingness to design a private safari based around our interests. We ultimately chose Spot Kenya because Geoffrey and the rest of its staff were very responsive, provided a competitive rate, and had good reviews online.

Our guide and driver, Harun, was friendly and professional. He knew lots about the animals and he seemed skilled at navigating the parks and the roads. He also was good at finding the animals and getting us up close to them. We especially appreciated that he was willing to take us to a few places in Nairobi on our final day, even though they were not on our original itinerary.

We loved the places we stayed in Masai Mara, Amboseli, Tsavo West, and Tsavo East. The other places we stayed were okay (fine but not as good as the others), and we conveyed our suggestions for changes to Spot Kenya after our trip. We liked the food everywhere we went, and, as a vegetarian, I was happy with the selections.

One suggestion for future travelers is to ask about the driving times between parks, as we did not realize ahead of time how much driving we had in store. We probably would not have changed things anyway, but some travelers might revise their itinerary if they knew how long it takes to get between destinations.

Happy travels - we hope you get to visit Kenya!

An excellent experience!
5/5

Chris from Indigo Safaris was very prompt in returning emails and calls from us prior to booking on the trip despite him being all over the globe at the time! We were very happy with our decision to book 3 trips through him for Papua New Guinea. The Goroka Show was well organized with smooth transfers. The accommodation couldn't have been better as we were next to the venue and he was always happy to organize transportation into town or to eat out for those who weren't eating at the accommodation. He also set us up with a week diving in at the Walindi resort in New Britain which is an absolutely amazing facility we would highly recommend. Finally, our trip to the Sepik river, was certainly memorable. Although remote, we were well taken care of with freshly cooked meals and bedding and mosquito nets each night despite being in the middle of no where! We met some amazing people and were amazed at the artwork and spirit houses we were able to see along the way. I would happily go on another trip with Indigo Safaris as it was a great experience!

The safari in Chobe National Park was fantastic! We saw lions, hippos, giraffes & crocodiles day 1.
Overall rating
4/5

Chobe National Park is a gem! Our guides were very patient and knew a lot about animals. We drove in open jeeps and had great access to photograph the beautiful birds and wild-life that we saw.
The park is teeming with life! We witnessed a pregnant giraffe, playful baboons, kissing hippos, grazing elephants ( swimming elephants, nursing elephants - over 200,000 elephants in Botswana) an angry lion and many impalas and kudus. The scenery was lush and green and the Chobe river was full of fabulous surprises like hippos and crocodiles! Do go!

Excellent Company, First Class Service, Affordable Price
5/5

Macho Halisi rescued us after a nightmare experience with Overseas Adventure Travel and Ranger Safaris. The Kudu Lodge accommodations were excellent and the food delicious. Our safari driver/guide was knowledgeable, very competent, respectful of the client, environmentally sensitive and unwavering in his consideration of the well being of the wildlife unlike many other safari companies that we encountered. In 6 days on safari we saw a greater range of animals, including the big 5. than we saw on the previous 26 days of safari with OAT. The company is owned by Tanzanians and staffed by Tanzanians and it shows in their professionalism and their love of their country. I would not hesitate to recommend Macho Halisi to family, friends or any traveller looking for the highest quality at an affordable price. In fact my parents are planning to use this company for an adventure later this year. Find out who owns the safari company before you book. Book only with a locally owned company, you will not regret your decision. Thanks Again

An overwhelming Christmas- adventure
5/5

We had the best time of our life with Wild Planet Safari christmas 2014
We went on a 11 days tour from J.burg-Hazywiew- Merloth-Swaziland-St. Lucia- Durban- J.burg. And would do it all again tomorrow without any hesitation.
The knowlegde of both Ryan and Thale made our trip complete, and with the patience for our four children (5,8,9,10) it was absolutely phenomenal.
Travelling with Wild Planet Safari is highly recomendable, and you will get the best service, food and experiences of 'em all!:)

Overall, it was great, and our guide, Dan, was wonderful. The vehicle was a bit old though.
4/5

The experience lived up to our expectation, and Dan was informed and flexible to our needs. The accommodations were first class, food good, and we saw all the animals we had hoped to. The customized trip to a Water School project in Nebbi District went according to plan, and was a lot of fun.
The only criticism was that the original vehicle we were given had seat belts which didn't work. Roads are dangerous in Uganda, and I considered this a serious lapse. We were given a replacement vehicle with working seat belts, but it was pretty old, and struggled up some hills. You could use newer vehicles!
