A brilliant nine day safari with an exceptional guide
I have just returned from a fantastic 9-day tour of Uganda with Home To Africa. It was a very enjoyable and productive trip - thanks, especially, to my outstanding guide Karim.
I’m a photographer and have made around 20 wildlife or journalism-focused trips to Africa over the years, including a previous visit to Uganda. My focuses this time were chimps at Kibale, gorillas at Bwindi and mongoose tracking at Mweya (that last one being a bit niche). But we covered a lot more than just this, and the spectacular landscapes alone make Uganda a very compelling photographic destination.
I was travelling by myself, and Karim made the trip so much better by not only being an excellent and very safe driver and a sharp-eyed and very knowledgeable guide, but also by being such a pleasure to travel with. The drives in Uganda are long, so to spend that time with someone who is so nice, so interesting and such a great conversationalist makes a big difference.
I was also grateful for his unfailing punctuality. Early morning light is critical to photography, and he understood that well. He always beat me to breakfast, and we always got to the various park gates before they opened. He also has a well-attuned eye for what makes a good photo and made lots of very helpful suggestions. It really felt like we were working as a team, and I really appreciated that.
The accommodation was all excellent, but I would particularly single out Haven Lodge Buhoma Community at Bwindi. The views from the restaurant terrace looking over the forested slopes are exceptional - and they were just as good from the (very private) terrace of my room. I already miss the view, the tranquility and the sounds of the forest!
It was an exceptional trip and I can recommend Karim and Home to Africa very highly indeed.

An Unforgettable Safari Experience
Our safari with Lion Guides Safaris was truly unforgettable. From day one, Luki gave his all to make sure we had the best possible experience in Tanzania.
We were lucky enough to see the Big Five, and every game drive felt perfectly planned. The itinerary across all the parks was spot on. He chose magnificent hotels, super comfortable, clean, and well located, and paid attention to every single detail.
He kept us well hydrated, the vehicle was spotless every single day, and his attitude was always positive and professional. Beyond the wildlife, he took the time to teach us about Maasai culture and traditions, and explained so much about the animals we encountered. Luki was actively looking for the animals and finding the perfect spot to see them as close as possible. It is so impressive how respectful he is with the animals and well he was expressing about any single specie and how important it is for the cycle of life.
If you’re looking for a safari done right, with passion and excellence, this is it. Highly recommended.

Aslam is a friendly, knowledgeable guide with amazing driving skills
Aslam was very prompt, arriving early each day. He was a great communicator, allowing us to properly prepare for the next day and arrange the next day's lunch. His expert driving skills got us through some tough spots. He had a great sense of humour, was extremely polite and very patient. He was able to answer all of our wildlife questions. We saw everything we hoped to see and more. We had ample water available to us, he stopped whenever we asked and was great at spotting game of all sizes. This tour was made better with Aslam as our guide.

Our experience with Lucky and Lion Guides Safaris was simply amazing.
We had such a great time and truly enjoyed every moment. Lucky’s energy and passion made every game drive exciting. Seeing the Big Five in the wild was unreal.

The tour was top, well organised in every detailed, the tour operator was always in contact with us and the driver/guide has been excellent in support/drive us to see the big Five in the safari (it is not sure to see them), very friendly and always on time. I will contact them for the next trip.

Simple and easy to customize
I had 4 absolutely amazing days hiking up Mt Kenya. Even though we had a lot of rain I was taken very good care of by my guide Sam. He thought of everything and he was a complete game changer for the trip. I can strongly recommend him for any future trips to Mt Kenya

Our Namibian tour was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Henzel was both our guide and driver, and he did an outstanding job in both roles. A Wonderful Visit to Saadani National Park
The boat trip along the Wami River was absolutely spectacular! We were lucky enough to spot a large number of amazing bird species, including Yellow-billed Storks, Woolly-necked Storks, African Spoonbills, Open-billed Storks, Pied Kingfishers, and African Fish Eagles.

Beyond reliable.
On the same itinerary, with the addition of a Tarangire night safari and upgraded hotels, this travel agency's quote was $1,000 cheaper than others. The pricing was completely transparent—just a 30% deposit before departure with no unreasonable contract terms. It was my first time traveling without doing any research, yet I was taken care of from the moment I left the airport until my return. Saw plenty of wildlife on the savanna and completed the Big Five, though the rain was a bit disappointing as I didn't get to see many baby animals. Looking forward to my next Tanzania trip—I'll definitely choose you again.
