An amazing safari experience in Tanzania
5/5

Alex and his team gave us the best safari and overall Tanzania experience we could have hoped for. From the very beginning of the booking process, everything was easy, clear, and well organized.
They carefully suggested the best safari route, taking into account that we were traveling as a family with two kids (4 and 8 years old) and that we were looking for a more budget-friendly option rather than anything fancy. Their recommendations were spot on.
We had a wonderful guide, and the 4-day safari was an absolute joy. The guide was great to talk to, very knowledgeable, and made the experience engaging for both adults and children. Seeing the animals and wildlife in their natural environment was unforgettable.
We truly felt well taken care of and would highly recommend Alex and his team to anyone planning a safari in Tanzania — especially families with kids.

Experienced
3/5

The Safari tour was what I hoped for, and would have rated it higher but don’t know who’s to blame. The Safari group of six people were great but found out that our guide had to manage us from three different Safari companies. All with different 3 day experience packages. I was unfortunately dropped off last after every days safari, (15-45 minutes later). Plus the communication on where I was staying was poor, but I had other transportation management needs that worked out well. I could have inquired more about everything but majority of the time there was not WiFi signal in the bush. The guide/driver knew where to go to give us the best experience. After all the my doubts being fulfilled it was a very good experience.

Great tour - great guide - but some extra charges
5/5

We did a 7 day tour through Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, Hells Gate and Amboseli and we loved the tour - because of the amazing nature and our amazing guide Boni. He really went out of his way to make everybody’s wishes come true and give us the best experience! If we come again, we would absolutely love to come with him again!! Thank you so much! The tour was great also, the national parks are very different and we managed to see so many different animals, just be aware that they are quite far apart and traffic is not moving too fast here … the one thing we would suggest is to actually tell the prize for “extra activities”, that are kinda included in the plan though, and for expected tips (!!!) in advance… we were informed only upon departure, that a tip of 1000KES per person per day is suggested for the guide and also many activities (Lake Naivasha island, Masai village, hells gate tour, walk in Amboseli) and some meals (2x 500 KES pP) were not included - it would have just been very nice to know these things in advance as there is no ATM in the Parks obviously (Boni found an ATM for us though). The accommodations were all good, although we have changed our first accommodation at Masai Mara and slept at Rhino tourist camp instead. All in all it was a great experience (especially on that budget) though. We would vote 4.5 stars but it doesn’t exist ;) If the extra charges (or "suggested tips") would have been pointed out ahead, as we travel on a budget... - it would have been 5 stars for us. Mind we changed first accomodation. Thank you to the team and the guide!

Best Uganda Safari Ever – Davis & Wide Birding Eco Tours Delivered a Dream Trip! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
5/5

Just back from an unforgettable 9-day/8-night adventure with Wide Birding Eco Tours, and it was hands-down the highlight of my travels in Uganda! Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. As a mix of local and international travelers, we wanted a balanced wildlife/birding safari with gorilla and chimp trekking—and this itinerary nailed it perfectly, at a fair and transparent price.
Our guide, Davis, was the star of the show. His expertise shone through every day: incredible bird knowledge (we spotted so many colorful species and rarities across diverse habitats), uncanny timing for animal appearances, and genuine passion that made every drive exciting. He was punctual, honest, super flexible (adapting seamlessly to our requested changes), and always put our interests first. Davis's deep craft knowledge ensured maximum sightings without rushing. 🦍🦅🦁🦓🐗🐊🐃🐘🦏🐒🦒

The itinerary was packed but well-paced: powerful Murchison Falls (top-of-falls views + Nile boat cruise), thrilling chimp tracking in Kibale, game drives and Kazinga Channel boat in Queen Elizabeth (hippos galore!), the magical gorilla trek in Bwindi (up-close hour with a family—life-changing!), relaxing Lake Bunyonyi. Birding was phenomenal throughout, with aquatic birds, raptors, and forest specials.

Logistics were spot-on: comfortable customized Land Cruiser with pop-up roof and fridge, basic but clean/scenic lodges, tasty included meals, and all permits/activities covered. Wide Birding felt ethical and reliable—great value compared to bigger operators.

If you're eyeing Uganda for wildlife, birds, or primates, book with Wide Birding Eco Tours and request Davis. He made our trip the best—flexible, knowledgeable, and fun. Highly recommend! Thank you, Davis and team!

A memorable moment in Africa
5/5

This is the first time of me and my wife to visit Africa for the safari. We chose Savannah Explorers and they deployed their guide - Isaac Long to be our leader in this adventure. He is a well-experienced and knowledgeable guide with over 15 years safari experience for answering any questions about the culture, history and animals in Tanzania. I and my wife were excited to meet animals in a very close distance, even with the baby lions and cheetahs! We did enjoyed every moments in these few days with the foods, accommodations and game drive.

Beautiful and Fun Trip
5/5

Livingston and Godlove were fantastic tour guides. They answered all of the animal facts we asked and participated in our car karaoke during the drives between parks. They were very good at spotting difficult to see animals. We saw all of the big five, but I was just as excited by some of the other hard to spot animals like the Jackal and the DikDik.

We also had a photographer, Chizooh, who did a spectacular job. It took off the pressure from is to photograph everything and just enjoy looking at the animals and the nature.

Many of the animals have resting spots near the road, so you get to see animals much closer than you would expect. But don’t skimp on the binoculars! Those are still important.

The accommodations were all great. Each place was clean and provided dinner and breakfast that were much better than normal hotel food.

The food for lunch exceeded expectations. It was real food in insulated serving containers that we ate as a group. It included rice, vegetables in sauce, and a variety of meat options. All of the flavors were really good. It tasted like a home cooked meal.

Overall it was a great experience!

A beautiful experience
5/5

From Italy, we organised the safari with the very kind Marzia, who gave us advice and assistance at all times. Thank you!
In Africa, we were welcomed by our guide in Tanzania, Ballo, a young man who gave us unforgettable experiences, telling us anecdotes and teaching us about the culture, and above all, who was uniquely friendly.
Thank you, Ballo.
