Does not deliver what is promised
1/5

We booked a 3 day Chobe National Park and Victoria Falls Safari for my husband and I and our two adult children. All communication prior was great. Since we were arriving early we didn’t need any airport pickups but arranged to meet on the morning of our first day. Then two days prior the tour operator messaged us that he was having issues providing us with the quality of tour he promised and would like us to cancel our booking through Viator and then just pay him the cash for the tour on the day. There was no way I was doing that and told him so. He kept up with the messages asking us to reconsider all the while I was saying no, I paid for the tour almost 12 months beforehand and couldn’t just come up with over $4000 in two days. I reported him to Viator and asked them to sort it out, cancel him and find us another tour as we were travelling and did not want or need the stress of this. In the end Forche Tours cancelled our booking the day before it was supposed to start, and then Viator did nothing about getting us a new tour. I ended up having to find day trips and we did our own thing clips we my following the tour we were supposed to be on. We were very disappointed and unimpressed by the whole experience and would NEVER recommend this tour company to anyone.

Serious Booking Issues and Unresolved Refund – Highly Disappointing
1/5

I would like to share my experience as a serious warning to anyone considering booking with this company. I booked a safari package with them and paid a deposit in good faith. However, from the moment I requested confirmation of my hotel booking, the situation became extremely concerning.

When I insisted on receiving an official confirmation, they sent me a document claiming the hotel was booked and paid for. To verify, I contacted the hotel directly — and they confirmed that no reservation had been made under my name.

This situation was especially distressing and unacceptable because I was traveling with my wife and our four children. Being misled and having no confirmed arrangements while responsible for a family made the situation extremely stressful and potentially dangerous.

When I approached the company about this issue, they ignored several of my messages. I even went to their office in person before the trip, and they claimed the staff member responsible for my booking had resigned and that they would “get back to me.” They never did.

Because of their failure to provide what I paid for, I had to make new arrangements and book my trip through another company. Afterwards, they told me I would receive a refund — but despite many emails and follow-ups, they kept delaying and never refunded my money. Eventually, they stopped responding altogether.

My experience with this company has been extremely disappointing, unprofessional, and stressful, especially while traveling with children.
Please be careful and think twice before booking with them.

NEVER AGAIN with pebble travel ! ! ! ! ! !
1/5

2 nights for almost 2K USD at Emayian Luxury Camp for 2 on All inclusive Basis (06th - 08th of July in 2025). Transport & Game Drives in a joining 4x4 Landcruiser - Pick up & Drop off Nairobi CBD.

We were collected from Nairobi in the early morning in a Jeep with a defective suspension of the wheels. That made us people riding in the jeep feeling as there was no suspension at all. It felt like a very hard full body massage for more than 10 hours a day. I know offroad riding - I love it even with motorcycles on outdoor racetracks - but our exprience was not funny anymore. It was only damn hard shaking like you were throwing to the inner parts of the jeep - all the time long.
When we were collected in the morning from our camp the jeep was almost full of people. There were only two seats remaining free for us - of couse the worst seats in the very back of the jeep which are made for children I guess but not for adults. And we were three adults sitting there like "sardines in oil pressed close to each other". As I am 1,81m tall people can maybe imagine how I felt there in the very back of the jeep being very hard shaked daily for more than 10 hours and meanwhile not having space even for only sitting straight with my legs. Unfortunately this destroyed my mood even if the animals that we've seen were great (Lions, a Leopard, Hippos, Giraffes, Crocodiles, Elephants, Zebras, Wildebeests). It made me really getting angry when we met other jeeps and I saw that there were less people sitting in these jeeps and as far as I could see all of them had more space than I had.

The people at Emayian Luxury Camp were very friendly and the food there was also amazing. They really do a great job, we love them and have respect! The only negative point at the camp was the jacuzzi only having lukewarm water because of the winter month - not really warm.

At the end when we were going back to Nairobi we were collected in another jeep with a functional suspension. That felt like heaven when compared to the jeep we had to drive the days before at the safari!!!
As an engineer working at a car manufacturer I know when the suspension of a car is defective but when I complained about that and asked for a compensation payment of 300 or 400 USD (do not remember exactly, sorry for that!) then I was only told from pebble travel (I do not say any names here) that I would be wrong, that the suspension would be good at the jeep and also that the jeep is receiving regular maintenance - that was like a punch in my face and nothing more than an outrage towards me especially when I think of all the money I paid.

Sorry, I can only laugh about that statement and I do not believe that you were telling me the truth in this matter!

So think what you want of my review here.
I hope people out there read it and overthink the idea of booking such a safari at Pebble Travel. Always take care please!

Regards

Armin

Operator is not honest or trustworthy
1/5

Our two couples booked a tour with Hayden Elliott and each paid a $4,000 deposit. He handed the tour over to another company and had us pay the full amount to that company, promising to refund our deposits. After a full year he has not repaid a dime and I suspect we will never see our refund. It is shocking to be treated this way and I would advise anyone to stay away from this dishonest company.

Severely unprofessional & a real lack of humility
1/5

I paid almost $3,500 for what I expected to be a once-in-a-lifetime safari experience with Inspired Feet. Instead, I received a trip that was disorganised, misleading, unprofessional, and nothing like what I was sold. I want to share my experience so others don’t risk getting scammed out of their dream holiday the way I did.
1. Mis-Sold Activities & False Itinerary Promises
Several activities clearly listed in my itinerary were never delivered.
• Day 6 – Relax at Olkaria: I was looking forward to this, but the guide dismissed it and never followed up.
• Walking Safari at Amboseli: Completely ignored, never arranged, and brushed off when I asked.
• “Full-Day” Game Drives: What I paid for was 6am–5/6pm drives (as other groups received). What I got were shortened drives starting around 9am and ending by 3/4pm—with only rare exceptions. This meant losing 4–5 hours every day of the experience I paid for.
2. Guide Onyoni – Extremely Unprofessional
On day one, he literally almost drove off without me, and another guest had to stop him. Communication was poor, his attitude felt careless, and the shortened game drives made it obvious he wasn’t interested in giving guests the experience they paid for.
3. Guide George – Terrible Logistics & Dishonesty
The last day at Amboseli was chaos: I spent 6 hours in the park and 4.5 hours waiting around, even though my hotel was only 30 minutes away. I was also stuck waiting while other guests (from different groups!) were dropped off and taken to a Maasai village I wasn’t even attending.
We arranged a sunrise start and I stood ready from 4:55am—only to be picked up at 6:15am with no apology.
Later, he hid in a restaurant having a full breakfast while the group stood waiting. When confronted, he lied about it to Fiona until she called him.
4. Fiona’s Changing Behaviour
Before and during the trip, Fiona was helpful. But after I formally raised my complaint—with detailed evidence—everything changed.
• My concerns were brushed aside as “hearsay.”
• Despite acknowledging issues on the trip, they refused responsibility.
• They even confirmed that they sacked the guide I was with—yet still claimed they had done nothing wrong and refused any form of refund or compensation.
If firing a guide isn’t proof of poor service, what is?
5. Overall Experience
Although the short time actually spent in the parks was enjoyable, the majority of the trip was overshadowed by wasted hours, missing activities, and unprofessional behaviour. What I paid for and what I received were completely misaligned.
Final Warning
Inspired Feet did not deliver the itinerary they sold me. They ignored multiple promised activities, wasted huge amounts of my time, and provided guides whose behaviour ranged from careless to dishonest. And even after admitting fault by removing the guide, they still refused any resolution.
Do not book your once-in-a-lifetime safari with Inspired Feet.
They are dishonest, and in my experience, they will take your money without delivering what they promise. Please protect your time, your money, and your trip—book with a trustworthy company instead.

DOUBLE CHARGED, DO NOT USE
1/5

Wildtrek came highly recommended through a trusted friend. I was very excited to go on this trip. I was in contact with Bernard over WhatsApp. We discussed an itinerary on a budget and came to an agreement for our seven days Safari three day Zanzibar of our trip. We made all accommodations and booked the flights. Then, less than a week we were supposed to leave, Bernard contacted me and said that there was an issue with the money we had deposited two months prior. We had paid in full for our trip and now Wildtrek could not access our money. Even though we had paid in full 60 days in advance, they had not finalized our bookings for some accommodations and experiences. Therefore, we had to pay for those accommodations and experiences again with the reassurance that that money would be returned to us. We paid $6000 for bookings we already had for. Bernard promised us that we would have our money back by August. August came and went nothing then by September. September came and went and still no money back. Now it is well into Decemeber and the money has still been returned to us. Bernard is refusing to respond to any communication to me. Do not use this company. Unfortunately, our guide was lovely, and our experience was incredible, but I cannot recommend to book through Wildtrek because they took our money. DO NOT USE.

No value for money, Disappointing Safari Experience
1/5

I recently went on a safari with Toto Tembo Safaris Kenya, and unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. We paid $360 per person, which included a $200 park entry fee for full-day access to the Maasai Mara. However, our actual game drive lasted only from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM — just about 2.5 hours.

As a result, we saw very few animals and only 2 out of the Big Five. I had previously discussed a plan to start around 2:30 or 3:00 PM, but we didn’t depart until 4:30 PM, which was far too late to make the most of the park experience.

It would have made much more sense if Toto Tembo had:

Picked us up the previous evening and arranged morning and evening game drives, or

Scheduled a full-day drive so we could explore the park properly and return to Nairobi later.

Instead, we spent nearly 7 hours traveling each way, with only 2.5 hours of actual safari time. Moreover, our guide seemed unmotivated and offered minimal explanations, mostly just naming the animals we saw.

Considering that the $200 park entry fee only provided a quarter of the expected experience, I believe a partial refund or some form of concession would be fair.

I hope Toto Tembo Safaris Kenya takes this feedback seriously and improves the planning and execution of future safaris.

Be Warned
1/5

I recommend you do not book with this company . We decided to cancel our booking 6 weeks before we were supposed to go. The reasons as follows,
1. Lack of communication.
2. The reviews.
3. Advised by a former employee.
4. Self confessed cash flow problems.

We were correct in not using them as we are still waiting for our deposit back, just over £3500. We cancelled 22nd August. We were promised and promised but nothing. We are now claiming via our credit card company.
It seems 1 or 2 day safaris they are honouring but anything more they haven't got the money to fund it.
BE WARNED.

Our Worse Nightmare Tour Company
1/5

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS TOUR COMPANY!!! I am writing this review to highlight the worst experience I have ever had with a foreign tour company. It all began in July of 2024 when I reached out to Bush2City and finalized an agreement for a "13 day Best of Kenya Tanzania Safari-Luxury" that included 10 luxury accommodations. In retrospect, I should have booked with another tour company that offered me a great package and had warned me about Bush2City. After my booking, I had many communications with Mali over the following months until I fully paid the trip in May of 2025 for the trip that began July 15th. After our arrival in Kenya, I was informed without advanced notice or rationale that 4 out of 10 of our accommodations were changed to lower category places. I was extremely upset, and we had just started our trip since I meticulously selected all the accommodations. We found that 3 of the accommodations were terrible including the last one which was supposed to be the best lodge in Amboseli and instead it was a wholesale lodge outside of the park with tons of tourists. Mr. Solomon Jackson finally agreed to meet with my husband and I at almost the end of our tour in Arusha. He apologized and promised to provide us with a 20% refund that totaled $3200 USD. The only salvation from the trip was that we had great safari guides and drivers including Steve and Nickson who patiently heard my complaints. Since our trip in July, Mr. Jackson offered several excuses as to why he did not provide the refund and then finally, he has not responded to any of my emails, calls, or texts for the past month. At the very least, I hope that no one else suffers from his fraudulent actions.

They do not care about your health
1/5

To prepare for the Kilimanjaro hike, I made sure I was fit and ready for the 8 days hike. On day 1, I had a porter who was coughing terribly. In short I got a sick person in my team to take me to the summit. I got sick and it was difficult to get sleep as I was coughing non stop as well. I made it to the summit with several days of minimal sleep and difficulty breathing on summit night.
