Great Organization - Would Use Again
5/5

Our trip to South Africa in May was absolutely wonderful, and so much of that came down to the guidance and care we received from Kerry Ririe at Pembury Tours. Every detail felt thought through, and we always felt looked after, from the planning stages right through the trip itself.

One moment that really stood out: one of our lodgings left a tipping guide that seemed unusually high. We reached out to Kerry for a second opinion and got clear, honest guidance that helped us tip appropriately — not too much, not too little. That kind of responsiveness made a real difference.

Every stop on our itinerary was terrific, from Cape Town all the way to Sabi Sands. The only minor hiccup was the food at the first lodge we stayed at after the river cruise — dinner leaned a bit too hard into "exotic" options and felt overdone. Breakfast, on the other hand, was delicious, so it balanced out nicely.

Overall, this was a beautifully organized trip with genuine care behind every recommendation. I'd recommend Kerry and Pembury Tours without hesitation to anyone planning a trip to South Africa!

Everyone involved was kind, friendly, knowledgeable and solicitous to our needs.
5/5

We chose a private safari with mid- range accommodation options. I worked with Avitus to build a twelve day itinerary that included everything we wanted to see and experience. I had been on safaris in southern African countries previously, but this one surpasses them. The quality of vehicle, animal sightings, cultural experiences and driver/guide were all first rate.

An unforgettable honeymoon safari, made even better by an exceptional guide and team.
5/5

We had an absolutely amazing 4-day safari in Tanzania as part of our honeymoon, visiting Tarangire National Park, the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater. It was genuinely the highlight of our trip.

We were incredibly lucky to see the Big Five, along with so many other animals and birds, and every day brought something different. The landscapes and wildlife were unbelievable, and having the opportunity to see everything up close is something we will never forget.

A huge thank you to our guide, Logan, who was fantastic throughout the entire safari. His knowledge of the wildlife was excellent, and he was able to tell us so much about the animals and birds we encountered.

Logan also gave us a great insight into Maasai culture and life in the local communities, which added another dimension to the trip beyond simply seeing the wildlife. He was incredibly friendly, patient and always happy to answer our questions.

One of Logan’s biggest strengths was knowing exactly where to position the jeep to give us the best possible views and photo opportunities. He clearly knew the parks extremely well and was very good at anticipating where the animals might move, which resulted in some incredible sightings and photographs. Seeing lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, buffalo and rhinos in such close proximity was unforgettable.

The jeep itself was also very comfortable and well equipped. There was plenty of cool drinking water and other refreshments available throughout all four days, which was particularly welcome during the longer game drives.

The whole experience was well organised and we felt safe and looked after throughout. One small area that could be improved would be having a few more opportunities for couples to have photographs taken together during the safari. We obviously took hundreds of photos of the wildlife, but as it was our honeymoon, it would have been nice to have a few more photos of us together in some of the incredible locations and landscapes.

It would also have been useful to have a better idea in advance of the driving distances and journey times between destinations. We hadn’t fully appreciated how much time would be spent driving between the different parks and accommodation, particularly as many of the locations are quite spread out. Having a clearer idea of this beforehand would have helped us know what to expect each day.

These were minor points and didn’t take away from what was otherwise an exceptional experience.

Thank you to the whole team, and especially Logan, for giving us such an incredible start to our honeymoon. We have come away with some amazing memories and photographs that we’ll be talking about for years to come. We would absolutely recommend this company and Logan to anyone considering a safari in Tanzania.

Serengeti Clarity and Abdul are the best
5/5

Serengeti Clarity and our amazing guide Abdul are the absolute best! From starting the safari booking process to the end they were top notch in communication, answered quickly and with lots of knowledge. I can’t say enough amazing things about our guide Abdul. Every time he said “let’s go find you …” he navigates directly to whatever it is he set out to show us. We were fortunate enough to see 3 Mara River crossings in one day and if it wasn’t for his incredible navigation skills we wouldn’t have been fortunate enough to do so, there were several people there who missed the first two due to inexperienced drivers, and that was not our case. Knowledgeable about all the animals we saw with lots of explanation into the way of the wild and even knowledgeable about his vehicle. The bumpy roads take a toll on the vehicles and he was always quick to fix it so things didn’t get worse and we didn’t miss time away from our safari experience. Truly the best!

Amazing experience with an amazing team
5/5

We had an absolutely amazing safari with Axis Africa, visiting Amboseli and Taita Hills, and we couldn’t have asked for a better team than Sadam and Bo.

Sadam was an exceptional guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and patient, but what impressed us most was his incredible ability to spot wildlife. He had an amazing eye for finding the more elusive and special animals, including leopards, cheetahs and lions, often spotting them before we even had a chance to see them ourselves! He clearly knows the parks extremely well and always made sure we had the best possible experience.

Bo was also wonderful — kind, helpful and always attentive to everything we needed. They made a great team and we felt completely safe and well looked after throughout the whole trip.

Both Amboseli and Taita Hills were absolutely beautiful, and thanks to Sadam and Bo we had so many unforgettable wildlife encounters. We were extremely happy with Axis Africa and would definitely recommend them to anyone planning a safari in Kenya. A huge thank you to the whole team for an unforgettable experience!

Joan made me feel genuinely welcomed, cared for and comfortable from the moment I arrived.
5/5

My trip to Uganda was an absolutely unforgettable experience. From the incredible gorilla trekking and chimpanzee encounters to visiting local community families, every day brought something special.

A huge thank you to Joan, my private driver and guide, who went above and beyond throughout the trip. Joan was knowledgeable, friendly, patient and incredibly caring, always making sure I was comfortable and enjoying every moment. Having a private guide made the experience feel very personal, and I always felt safe and well looked after.

The gorilla trekking was truly one of the highlights of my life, and seeing the chimpanzees in their natural environment was just as special. Meeting local families and experiencing a little of their everyday life also made the trip feel much more meaningful.

I’m so grateful for the memories I’ve made in Uganda and would highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to see the incredible wildlife, people and beauty of this amazing country.

An Excellent Combination of Kilimanjaro Trekking and Tanzania Safari
5/5

We recently had an excellent experience with Kilimanjaro Unforgettable, combining an 8-day Lemosho Route climb with a five-day private safari covering Tarangire, Central Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater.
The Kilimanjaro section was extremely well managed. Raymond, our trek guide, was experienced, patient and attentive to our pace and wellbeing throughout the climb. Joseph and the entire porter team worked incredibly hard and were always supportive and cheerful, even under demanding conditions. Their dedication contributed greatly to our successful summit of Uhuru Peak on 10 September 2026.
I would also like to mention Simon, who was our main point of contact and remained very responsive throughout the journey. Whenever we had a question or encountered a minor problem during our stay in Moshi, Serengeti or Arusha, he responded promptly and tried to find a practical solution. That level of communication is particularly reassuring when travelling in a foreign country.
Our five-day safari was equally enjoyable. Jerry, our driver-guide, accompanied us through Tarangire, the Central Serengeti and Ngorongoro. He was knowledgeable about the wildlife, patient with photography stops and genuinely interested in making sure we had a memorable safari.
There were a few minor logistical glitches during such a long and complicated trip, but what mattered was that Kilimanjaro Unforgettable took responsibility and dealt with them promptly.
Overall, it was a memorable combination of mountain adventure and wildlife safari, made possible by a hardworking and committed team.
My sincere thanks to Simon, Raymond, Joseph, Jerry and all the guides, porters and staff of Kilimanjaro Unforgettable.
