Solo female safari trip
My 5-day safari tour with Rogers was compact yet fulfilling! We saw all of Big 5, and many more animals. Rogers was very patient and gave me a lot of reassurance. I am a solo female traveller on this trip so he made sure that safety was the top priority here. We had a lot of fun, and I would do it again!

Unforgettable
From the very first communication, we had such a good feeling about this safari, and that feeling only got stronger once the trip actually began. Everything was handled so smoothly and professionally, but at the same time it never felt impersonal or like we were just another booking. The team was always easy to reach, responsive, and genuinely interested in making sure we were having a great experience. We always felt that we could rely on them, and that gave us a lot of peace of mind, especially when travelling somewhere completely new to us.
What we appreciated most was how effortless everything felt. We never had to worry about the details or wonder whether things would happen as planned. Transfers, accommodation, game drives, meals, and all the little arrangements were taken care of so well that we could simply relax and enjoy the experience. Everything felt well thought out without ever being over-organized, and there was always someone around to help whenever we needed anything.
The safari itself was beyond what we had imagined. Every day felt like a new adventure, and having Sija as our guide made such a huge difference. He was incredibly knowledgeable and patient, and he seemed to genuinely enjoy sharing his knowledge with us. He paid attention to the smallest details and always took the time to explain what we were seeing, rather than simply pointing things out. You could really feel his passion for the wildlife and the environment, and that made the game drives much more meaningful. We never felt rushed, and every drive had its own special moments that we will remember for a long time.
We also felt that the experience offered wonderful value for everything that was included. More than anything, though, it was the quality of the service and the people that made it feel so worthwhile. Everyone we met was warm, kind, and genuinely welcoming. There was a lovely personal touch throughout the stay that made us feel very well looked after without ever feeling overwhelmed.
Looking back, we honestly feel that we made a wonderful choice. There are so many moments from this trip that we will talk about for years to come, and we left with incredible memories and a real appreciation for the whole team. It was one of those experiences where everything came together perfectly: the lodge, the people, the organization, the food, the wildlife, and especially our guide. We would happily recommend this operator to anyone planning a safari, and we would absolutely choose them again for another adventure.

An unforgettable safari experience with Savannah Woods Safaris
Our experience with Savannah Woods Safaris was incredible and exceeded our expectations. From the beginning, Lucy was extremely responsive, patient and helpful, answering all our questions quickly and understanding exactly what we were looking for.
Our guide, Sam, was absolutely fantastic. He is extremely knowledgeable about wildlife and the parks, and we learned so much from him, not only about the animals, but also about Kenyan culture and the different communities. He clearly loves what he does and made a huge effort to understand our priorities in each park and adapt to our wishes.
The game drives were unforgettable. We visited Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli, and had incredible sightings, including a leopard and a black rhino in Maasai Mara, as well as both white and black rhinos in Lake Nakuru. Sam’s knowledge of the parks and animals was impressive, and he always knew where to go while keeping our preferences in mind.
The 4x4 Land Cruiser was comfortable and in very good condition, and everything was perfectly organized and punctual throughout the safari.
We would 100% recommend Savannah Woods Safaris to anyone looking for a safari in Kenya, whether it’s your first safari, a couple’s trip, or a safari combined with other activities. We would absolutely book with them again.

We had an amazing 3-day safari with our guide Sija! He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole experience unforgettable. We were incredibly lucky to see all the animals we hoped for, including the Big Five. The lodges were beautiful, clean, and comfortable, with incredibly welcoming and friendly staff. Everything was very well organized, and we truly enjoyed every moment. Highly recommended!

Amazing
This was one of the best trips of my life all thanks to Issa and Suma! We saw so many animals! Suma got us so close to them even with so many cars! Issa was so patient with all my questions and accommodating my requests! The food was the best we’ve had on any trip also! The accommodations and people everywhere were so sweet! I looked at over 15-30 different companies and it can be overwhelming. It’s also easier to go with a more established company but don’t be fooled by Goldfinch! They helped curate a once in a lifetime trip!

Very organized, supportive and helpful
The communication ran with Charlie and the tour with Isack. Charlie was able to keep the communication fast and open all the time, that was decisive.
The main guide organized a magnanimous trip, nothing left behind and with a very humane treatment.
About the money, we had to pay it in cash on the spot, and the tips are recommended to be around 20%, but in the end seemed fair for everything, so be prepared for that.
The trip per se was impeccable.

A reliable and professional operator for a truly tailor-made Safari
We had a wonderful mid-range safari experience in Tanzania with Somewhere in Africa and would definitely recommend them.
From the beginning, Eliakim helped us create a tailor-made itinerary based on our wishes and interests, including Tarangire, Northern Serengeti for the Great Migration, Central Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater. Communication was clear and professional, and everything went smoothly throughout the trip.
The Great Migration was truly incredible and one of the highlights of our safari. We had the chance to see a lot of animals and this made us so happy!
Our driver-guide, Daudi, was very knowledgeable and spoke very good Italian. He shared many interesting insights about the animals and their behaviour and understood what we hoped to see, choosing suitable areas while always respecting park rules and wildlife.
We were also very happy with all the accommodations: fantastic locations, helpful staff, comfortable rooms and excellent food.
Overall, Somewhere in Africa proved to be a reliable and well-organized operator, with great flexibility and attention to our wishes. A special thank you to Eliakim and Daudi and the whole Team for a truly memorable safari!
