Amazing safaris tour
5/5

I searched and found Mountain Warriors on Google. I was checking another 2-3 tour companies that recommended by some friends but no company having better price and hotel rooms and services than Mountain Warriors. The sales lady (Ruth) replied my texts and responded to my request very quick when I needed her most. Then step by step all the program was done exactly as the plan mentioned in the quote she offered us making us happy and trust her more… thanks to Ruth and Mountain Warriors team, we had amazing trip in Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park that we could never forget, all the best to Ruth and your company team.

Jacqueline is detailed, caring, invested, and relatable.
5/5

Booking a tour through a company you've never used before is...in a word, scary.

Especially these days. In the age of AI, how do you even know a company is real? And if it is real, can you trust them? Will you get your money's worth? Will they show you a good time? Will they keep you safe?

It's a lot of trust to place in a complete stranger, especially when thousands of dollars—and your precious few American vacation days—are on the line.

So, naturally, I did my detective work.

Jacqueline's company had been around for years. There were reviews. Photos. Active social media accounts. All the reassuring signs of a legitimate business.

But still...how do you really know?

Well, thankfully, Jacqueline knew exactly how to put my mind at ease.

She was attentive, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our trip special. She listened to what we wanted, happily customized itineraries, and came back with thoughtful new ideas. Quickly, but not suspiciously quickly. She shared photos, let her personality shine through, and kept in touch without ever making us feel pressured.

So, after playing internet sleuth for probably longer than necessary, we finally took the plunge.

And the verdict?

BEST. DECISION. EVER.

Jacqueline arranged the most incredible trip to Tanzania. She paired us with an absolutely phenomenal guide (Danford, you're the MVP!), planned unforgettable experiences, and somehow managed to deliver a vacation that exceeded even our wildest expectations. And yes, we SAW THE CROSSING!

I actually work in travel myself. I know how competitive this industry is, how many companies are out there, and how difficult it can be to distinguish the exceptional from the adequate.

I'm sure plenty of those companies have their merits. But what made Jacqueline stand out wasn't just the itinerary, the experiences, or even the extraordinary trip itself.

It was the care.

Real, personal, thoughtful, invested CARE. The kind that makes you feel like you're more than a booking number or a deposit in someone's bank account. The kind that starts long before you arrive and continues throughout your trip.

If that sounds good to you? Then you want Jacqueline.

And if you're lucky enough to get Danford as your guide, well...you're in for one heck of a trip.

Top quality service
5/5

Rioba Safaris organized the trip very well. Our guides: Lewis in Kenya and Hakeem in Tanzania were very professional and knowledgeable. We were able to see Big 5 close and many other animals, a lot of nature, maasai village. Lodging and food was good. We are very happy with the safari.

Our tour operator was informative, had keen eyes for the animals, was patient, warm, & worked hard.
5/5

Our tour was even better than expected, and we had high hopes! Our guide was kind, patient, informative and fun. We felt safe, heard and got to see so many birds and animals! He worked hard to take us where animals were from hippos to elephants and hunting cheetahs! He heard that I loved birds, so was intentional to make space for that as well. It was all a joy!

We got lucky!
5/5

We got lucky.
We booked without anyone's recommendation, but boy did we get lucky. Tremisana Lodge and the tour run by Viva Safaris organised everything for us. The lodge itself was perfect for us with clean and spacious rooms. The food was so delicious and the staff were always friendly. It was so nice to see the camaraderie within the guides and staff. Going on a game drive has a certain amount of luck, but the knowledgeable guides certainly increase the chances of seeing all types of animals. We will go again.

The best
5/5

I recently completed the 4-day Mount Kenya trek (Sirimon route) with Tilman Expedition Tours and Safaris, and I cannot recommend them enough. From the initial planning stages to the final drop-off in Nairobi, the team was professional, responsive, and genuinely committed to making the experience memorable.

A special mention must go to our guide, Leonard. His knowledge of the mountain's flora, fauna, and terrain was impressive, but it was his calm and experienced demeanor that really stood out. He set a steady pace that helped us acclimatize properly, and his decisions regarding timing and route safety were spot on . Reaching Point Lenana at sunrise was tough but absolutely worth it, and we felt safe and well-guided the entire way.

The support crew—the cook and porters—were the unsung heroes of the trip. Despite the altitude and cold conditions, we were fed incredibly well. The meals were delicious, varied, and always served with a smile, which is no small feat on a mountain . The tents were set up and ready for us at every camp, making the camping experience as comfortable as possible.

Logistically, everything was smooth. Charles was quick to respond via WhatsApp, arranged our transport from Nairobi seamlessly, and offered a very fair rate compared to other operators . If you are looking for a budget-friendly yet highly professional and personal outfit for Mount Kenya, this is the one. I would definitely book with them again for a safari or another trek.

Magnificent Masai Mara-Lago Nakuru-Amboselli safari
5/5

The safari was spectacular! I wanted to thank Alan, our guide and translator, and Paul, our driver, for making the trip so easy for us—for the laughs we shared despite the early wake-up calls, for always looking out for us and helping with everything, for your recommendations whenever we had questions, and for the patience you showed with our endless stream of inquiries! Also, a big thank you to Clara, who worked behind the scenes to resolve any questions or handle any details that came up. I highly recommend traveling with Alan and Paul—it was a truly positive experience. Thank you so much, team!

An Absolutely Outstanding Experience with Gemfinders
5/5

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Gemfinders, from the very first conversations to the end of our trip. We honestly couldn’t have asked for anything better.

Our journey started around six months before departure, when Mildred began helping us plan and tailor our trip to Kenya. We had lots of questions, wishes and specific ideas about what we wanted to experience as a family, and throughout the entire planning process, Mildred was incredibly patient, helpful, responsive and attentive. She really listened to what mattered to us and helped turn all our ideas into a trip that exceeded our expectations.

And when the trip finally began, everything came together beautifully. The safari was simply unforgettable. We experienced incredible wildlife, breathtaking landscapes and moments we will remember for the rest of our lives. Seeing the Big Five up close in the Masai Mara, walking among giraffes and zebras at Crescent Island, experiencing the magnificent elephants and Mount Kilimanjaro in Amboseli, and continuing our adventure in Tsavo were all extraordinary experiences.

A special mention goes to our guides, Samson and Stephen, who were absolutely outstanding. They were knowledgeable, professional, kind and genuinely attentive to our whole group. Their dedication, flexibility and ability to adapt to our needs made a huge difference to our experience. They always went the extra mile, made us feel safe and welcome, and knew how to balance getting the most out of every game drive with making sure everyone, including the children, was comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for better guides, and they played a huge part in making our safari so memorable.

The accommodation, transfers and organisation throughout the trip all worked really well, and the transition from our safari adventure to relaxing on the beautiful beaches of Diani was completely seamless. We never had to worry about what was happening next, where we needed to be or how anything would work. We could simply be present, enjoy every moment and focus on making memories together as a family.

That is perhaps what impressed us most about Gemfinders: the feeling that everything was taken care of, while still making the entire experience feel personal. From the first planning discussions with Mildred to the actual journey on the ground, we felt supported every step of the way.

A huge thank you to Mildred, Samson, Stephen and the entire Gemfinders team for giving our family such an incredible adventure. This was so much more than a holiday. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience filled with unforgettable moments, wonderful people and memories we will cherish forever.

We would recommend Gemfinders without hesitation to anyone planning a safari in Kenya. If you want a personalised trip, excellent guides and the peace of mind of knowing that everything is taken care of, look no further. We would happily choose them again!
