A bit chaotic but realiable
We wanted a simple, budget safari, so we chose to visit the Masai Mara and Nakuru in a short time.
As we wanted to avoid overpaying, we didn't really care about where to stay. The tented camp in the Maasai village did not disappoint. Citymax - a run-down, simple hotel, adequate. It is better not to have high expectations for this hotel. But it does its job.
The food was filling and good.
The safari programme was well thought out: one evening game drive, a full day in the Masai Mara, then a swim in Lake Naivashu, which I consider a good introduction to Nakuru. Once you know about the small creatures, you can go deeper. We enjoyed it all very much, although it actually takes half the time just to go from park to park.
The driver, Richard, was a great companion, a very nice, responsible, fatherly person. He maintained privacy (he was not one for joking and fraternizing) and we apreciated that. Richard had his own style of driving, approaching the lions first and adding knowledge to the tour. Be curious, it pays off!
About the organisation: we were happy with the route, although the organisation was a bit chaotic. We were communicated quickly, but had to keep revising the details (the prices were different, please update!), and when we left, it turned out that the itinerary we had received was the opposite (not Nakuru-Masai Mara, but Masai Mara-Nakuru - which is better by the way). There was a bit of a lack of live contact when paying, so we were a bit hesitant about whether everything would be OK. However, everything is reliable: we got our invoice, we were picked up from the hotel on time, and the programme and the guide service really exceeded expectations. So overall I rate the safari as good.
If you are looking for a great safari experience without demanding too much from the conditions, this is for you!

Very scenic landscapes and warm peoples
The national parks were everything we expected - very scenic landscapes, diverse wildlife and great weather. Our host, Nathaneal from African Big Cats Safaris, was a super host and very knowledgeable about wildlife and Tanzanian cultures. We enjoyed every moment with him.
Tanzania truly is a host country, we'll definitely be returning!

I recommend Big Apes Africa!
I did my first ever Gorilla tracking with Big Apes Africa at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Adams really made the whole day trip memorable. My guide was very fun, relaxed, and knowledgeable about mountain gorillas at the same time and everything was amazing, nice trek, beautiful weather overall. I definitely recommend them. Peter helped me with my travel around Uganda as well. They would be a great choice!
Thanks and Godspeed :D

People on the ground are devoted and do an amazing job
Though due to government hikes the programme was reduced (and office did not a good job communicating this and refused to accept that this business risk was theirs and not that of the customer), the tour itself could not have gone better. The camp was charmingly basic yet reliable, James our guide was a constant source of bubbly energy and knowledge (he knows his birds extremely well) and during the road trips everything was communicated timely and clear. A next time I would happily book again here. During the trip I never got the feeling that we were taken advantage of in a negative way or that shortcuts had been taken.

Incredible experience, amazing guide
Excellent value for money. The tour guide Omar is one of a kind. He is very knowledgable, funny and very hospitable. He ensured we were able to see the big 5, whilst ensuring everyone felt comfortable and at ease. You can tell he is extremely passionate about the animals and what he does and that only enhances the whole experience.
Food was provided by Chef Simba and was very tasty.
Camping was a great experience (next to the Zebras) however, very basic, not the cleanest facilities but it does the job. Prepare that the crater is extremely cold.
Organisation during the safari was excellent, however beforehand there could have been slightly more communication.
Would definitely recommend to others, and can only hope everyone gets the chance to sit alongside Omar!

Good value for money
James was an excellent guide, knowledgable and very friendly. I would definitely recommend.
Value for money is also great, however communication around the new safari rules could have been better communicated.
