Great 4-day safari to Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru
4/5

Can highly recommend Lenchada Safaris and Dickson as guide.

Pros: smooth communication before tour, great rate also for a single traveller, Dickson was an extraordinarily great guide in Mara and went out of the way to give everyone a good experience. All food and accommodation was really good and far better than I would have expected from a budget safari. The groups I was with were also great fun, and the ambience was good altogether.

Cons: Had chosen Lenchada because they had promised I’d stay with the same group throughout the 4 days but in the end I had to change on day 3. Communication about this was confusing, and it meant that I had no activities apart from driving to Nakuru on day 3 as the other group had agreed on a different program with their guide.

Excellent, well organised, good communication.
4/5

The safari was an incredible experience for us first timers. The game drives were quite well planned, and we got to see all the big, but also the small animals and plants! We did a total of 6 days, covering Masai mara, lake Nukuru, Naivasha and Amboseli.

I also have to give a special shout-out to our driver and guide - Gerald, aka, G-Man. If you are to go with lenchada, I highly recommend you request him. The man is not only incredibly knowledgeable but someone who is genuinely passionate about the job. He provided us with a lot of information about nature, culture, society, etc. He was a fantastic companion to have and always took special care of us and our requests.

I also want to give a special shout out to the boss, Mr. Alex, he not only checked on us throughout the trip, but always helped and communicated with us if we had any queries, and we highly appreciated the level of attention to his clients. He is someone who clearly cares about the welfare of the customer and this is the biggest asset to taking Lenchada.

Overall I would give the experience a 4.7/5!
If I had to put any areas of improvement, it would only be our first camp (Mara Lenchada Camp) in Masai Mara, which could be a bit better. There was a bit of mould on the floors and roofs of the camps and the toilets weren't functional. However, the remaining hotels and camps (Buraha and AA Lodge) camps were beyond incredible with excellent amenities and services, including the ability to wake up to a private view of the Kilimanjaro which was a stunning experience, WiFi, bar, room service, incredible buffet and more.

Can highly recommend their services and you will thoroughly enjoy your time.

Very nice and arrangeant
4/5

It was an amazing experience. The organisation was good, we wanted to arrange the safari and they did it perfectly. The team who took care of us was so nice. Mounir was our guide, he speak very well French and is so nice, I'm very happy to had him as guide, he show us all the animals without exception, you should definitely ask for him. Richard was the chef, he cook so well, yummy yummy! And he took care of the menu of our kid who is very difficult. So nice! Everything was perfect. The only negative point was the car. The plugs were not working so my dad couldn't take photo for half day. Maybe if this detail is fixed, it probably the best choice for your next safari.

Lots of birds and we spotted many rhinos. For some reason (dry season?) there were hardly any animals seen anywhere but right near the lake.

In February, Amboseli was surprisingly dry except for the swamps and lakes.

Reliable
4/5

We were in Kenya on March 2023, we were a group of 6 people with 1 jeep, driver name is Abdullah.
Our experience was good, we saw a lot of animals, except leopard, cheetah and rhino, but we saw lots of elephants, zebra, antelopes, and lions. Mybe my vote should have been excellent if we had seen all (naturally I perfectly know that it is only a matter of fortune, but the animlas you saw or didn't see influence your judgement ... believe me ...)
However, speaking of SERVICE: we stay 3 nights, one at VOY in Tsavo East, that was nice with a pool (for the animlas) just in front of the resort (that has also a pool for guest), one night at Sentrim Safari Lodge in Amboseli (this is a tended camp really very good) and 1 night at Ngulia Safari Lodge in Tsavo West, also in this case a pool (for the animlas) just behind of the resort (that has also a pool for guest) - we spent nice days, every locations have the swimming pool so you can relax between the morning and afternoon safaris. We had good lunch and dinner (and naturally breakfast) , maybe food speaking VOY was a little bit under the level of the others.
Reliability: very good, we have a problem with our car, so unfortunately we lost time but, thanks to our EXCELLENT Driver it was fixed promptly.
I repeat Abdullah was perfect ! The jeep that we have seemed brad new, so we were only unlucky.

overall a very good price performance tour. Food could be better
4/5

Our driver was Denis. He is both a good driver and a good person. If your driver is Denis, you can be sure that your tour will go well. About Jocky tour, It was a really good service compared to the price. The only issue we had a problem with was the lunch served. Frankly, I can't describe as food what I was given as lunch. Nevertheless they gave us a very good experience and thank you for all of that.

Amazing experience with amazing guide
4/5

Overall an amazing experience. Our guide, David, made the whole trip. He was extremely nice, knowledgeable, proactive, service minded, and always walked the last mile to make our trip as memorable as possible.

The only improvement potential we had was that we would like to have a little more information received beforehand. Two days before departure we still hadn't heard from the company around pick-up time and -place.

Good safari experience but accommodation can be improved.
4/5

I took the 6 day 5 nights safari tour with MoAfrika tours.

The accommodation at the Tremisina lodge was decent. But the accommodation at Marc Treehouse lodge was found wanting. First, the walk to the treehouse was quite far. And it required us to drag our luggage a long distance through the stone/rock pavement. There were many ants on the pathway which inevitably crawled on your luggage. The accommodation itself was dimly lit and had many insects such as ants. I had to flick away many ants and other insects that were crawling on my bed, mattresses, pillows, blankets etc. Food served at Marc Treehouse was also of poorer quality compared to Tremisana lodge. The beef was not tender and hard to swallow. Finally, I was hoping to see more animals around the treehouse, like some monkey swinging outside my door, but alas there was none. Only some impalas...

As for the safari experience, it was exciting to see so many animals roaming freely around in the wild. Animals spotted include lions, elephants, giraffe, hippo, rhinos, leopard, buffalo, jackal, wild dogs, baboons, hyena and others. Given the fact that I stayed longer, I guess it is only natural that the number of animals sighted would correspondingly increase.

Guides were alright – neither remarkable nor unremarkable. I guess they were focused on driving and spotting animals so didn’t have much interaction with them. Couldn’t remember their names or anything interesting about them too. Some guides were more time-conscious and clock-watching whilst others were more liberal with the timings.

Also did the Moholoholo tour, learnt about animal poaching and conservation efforts. Saw some eagles and my favourite (white lions), and some other animals such as hyena, jaguar, cheetah etc. It felt like I was visiting the local zoo and less interesting compared to the safari drives.
